Painfully Lame ‘Furry Vengeance’ Trailer

Furry Vengeance Title

Here’s the trailer for the upcoming comedy film Furry Vengeance starring Brendan Fraser.

This movie looks painfully bad, obviously aimed at the kids. Kids films can still be entertaining for adults as well if they are done right, but this is not one of those films.

‘Extraordinary Measures’ Trailer with Brendan Fraser and Harrison Ford

Extraordinary Measures Poster

Here’s the new trailer for the upcoming film Extraordinary Measures starring Brendan Fraser and Harrison Ford.

This movie does look like it will be touching if nothing else. Harrison Ford isn’t in much nowadays, hopefully this role is meaty. From the looks of it there is some good drama, hopefully it’s not too happy-go-lucky. This is based on a true story and real life is seldom happy-go-lucky.

Sharp New International ‘G.I. Joe’ Poster

g_i_joe_ver11

Here’s the new international poster for the upcoming action film, G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra.

I like this poster much more than the USA versions, this one is much more colorful and interesting. Hopefully the movie will be as dynamic.

‘Journey 3D’ Getting a Sequel

affiche

The film Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D starring Brendan Fraser is getting a sequel.

New Line is mounting a second 3-D “Journey to the Center of the Earth.”

The first movie, made for about $60 million, was one of the first wide 3-D releases and grossed $240 million worldwide last year. Despite that, the studio waited to see the DVD numbers, which turned out to be robust, before committing to the sequel.

How you make a sequel to a story like this is beyond me, but this movie will be made simply to make money. Don’t expect high quality or artistic expression here.

Brendan Fraser Coming With ‘Furry Vengeance’

brendan_fraser_03

No, I’m not talking about hair plugs, Brendan Fraser is set to star in a new family film called Furry Vengeance.

Brendan Fraser will star in and Roger Kumble will direct “Furry Vengeance,” a live-action family comedy that will start production by early summer.

Fraser will play a real estate developer whose new housing subdivision pushes far into a pristine part of the Oregon wilderness, pitting the developer against a band of angry critters.

Sounds like it’s definitely aimed at the kiddies. It’s hard to take Fraser Seriously.

Brendan Fraser At The Inkheart Book Signing

Brendan Fraser attending a book signing for Inkheart at Borders Columbus Circle in New York City yesterday. When I was working on this story I couldn’t believe this was actually Brendan in these pictures. He looks so different from the Brendan I had a crush on years ago.

He is starring in the movie Inkheart (based on the book by Cornelia Funke) that hits theaters on January 23. I once thought it had the potential to be as big as Twilight. I even have Inkheart next on my list of series to read. But it looks like it probably won’t even gross half that movie did. I hope it’s not because of Brendan being in it.

Brendan Fraser to Star in ‘Crowley’

Brendan Fraser will star in the new film Crowley.

Fraser will play the titular role in the Harrison Ford-led drama “Crowley” saysProduction Weekly.

Based on the true story of John and Aileen Crowley, whose two children had a rare genetic disorder. Rather than give up hope that nothing could help his children, John Crowley found a researcher (Ford) with a potential cure.

Not the standard Brendan Fraser action hero fare, maybe it will be good.
