Star Spangled Spears: Britney’s In Harper’s Bazaar

A fabulous photo shoot and a great cover is a good sign for Britney Spears fans and the June issue of Harper’s Bazaar does not disappoint.

The Femme Fatale singer is about to embark on her world tour to support the new album and she shared with Harper’s how happy she is about the response her album is getting.

“I’ve worked so hard on this album, so it’s really refreshing,” Spears says. “I feel like I’m drinking a tall glass of homemade sweet tea on a really hot, beautiful day.”

The 29 year-old also reveals she’s got a little Bieber Fever going on.

“I think he’s adorable,” Britney remarked. “I just saw his movie, and I really didn’t realize how big he was. He’s enormous; he’s just Mr. Man.”

“A lot of the movie is really similar to what I did when I was starting out,” the singer said. “I did a promo tour for a year, going into radio stations and all that. It was so cool to see our similarities.”

Speaking of performing children, she’s warming up to the idea of her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, taking to the stage, if they really desire it.

“If they have a love and passion for the arts and that’s what they want to do, then so be it,” Spears said. “They are both little actors and so charismatic, I wouldn’t be surprised at all.”

Magazine Editors Love Celebs & Animals For April – Which Do You Like?

Editors, art directors and photographers are sharing one common thread for their April magazines – take a celebrity or model and photograph them with an animal (or two.)

Robert Pattinson had a baby alligator slung over his shoulders for Vanity Fair, Penelope Cruz cradled a little lamb on the cover of Elle Japan and Britney Spears cuddled up with a fluffy kitty for V Magazine.

It’s certainly not new, but it’s particularly prolific this month. Amanda Seyfried’s whole shoot for American Elle paired her with a different pet for each photo, model Ewelina held a cat on the cover of Chaos and model Camille Rowe also got a little alligator love for Jalouse magazine.

Take a look at all the photos below and tell us which one you like best for April 2011.  (Read the article)

Britney Spears Comes ‘Out’ – Ladies We Love Issue

So Britney Spears is doing the requisite media push to promote hew new album, Femme Fatale, and isn’t it convenient that OUT is publishing its first ever “Ladies We Love” issue at the same time?  And that they decided to make her their cover girl?  I mean honestly, the coincidences are astonishing.

But there she is, on the cover and in the pages of the iconic gay rag, and this confuses me mightily.  Let’s get one thing out of the way first though, rabid fans:  I’m not dissing Britney.  In fact,  she looks really good.  I am just not sure which of OUT‘s readers are the target audience of this particular shoot.  I mean, the gay men who admire her – perhaps want to BE her, and why not? – are probably not going to be overly excited about the crotch shots.  Are there so many lesbians who love Britney that they want to see her in her undies?  (Maybe I just don’t know enough of that kind of lesbian?)

I’ll tell you what, though, maybe they shouldn’t, based on her response when the mag asked her: “What women (living or dead) could make you think twice about your sexuality?” Britney said:

I only have eyes for men.

COME ON!  Would it have hurt her to at least name a chick she thinks is sexy?  At least throw the gay community even a tiny little bone, honey!  After all they’ve done for you.

More Brit-Brit pics after the jump.

One celebrity asked to join the awareness movement was Britney Spears.

The singer is happy to lend her voice to the campaign and said on twitter:  “Anti bullying is an issue very close to my heart. I am honored that President Obama & the First Lady asked me to join this campaign.”

She also tweeted #StopBullyingNow with a link to the President’s Facebook page where there is a video message from the Obama’s.

“It’s something that we care about not only as president and first lady, but also as parents,” said Mrs. Obama in the video. “It’s tough enough being a kid today and our children deserve a chance to learn and grow without constantly being picked on, made fun of or worse.”

Britney Spears Looks Hot Again, Covers V Magazine (Photos)

Guess who’s back?  It’s Britney, bitch!  Britney Spears looks better than she has in years in her cover shoot for V Magazine (issue #70).   Photographer Mario Testino created a series of photos that are dreamy, ethereal, soft and sexy.  They really play on Brit-Brit’s history as a child star – so maybe there’s a little too much of the Lolita fantasy going on here.    Nevertheless, it’s nice to see Britney looking fabulous.

I am sure you probably don’t care much about the interview (isn’t it all about the pictures?), but if you do, check it out here.  And speaking of those pictures, all you have to do is click through to see many more.

Britney Spears’ Next Single Is ‘A Monster’ Says Manager

Britney Spears just released the full video for her first single “Hold It Against Me” on Thursday night (February 17th) and already her manager is talking about a new single heading our way.

The music is off her upcoming album Femme Fatale, due to drop on March 29th and manager Larry Rudolph says he is really excited about her next song:

“We have a second song that I think we’re gonna end up putting out before the album drops,” he teased. “I can’t say with 100 percent certainty, but I think we probably will. But we’re talking about it now and it is a monster. It really is.”

Rudolph goes on to rave:

“I don’t think I’ve been this excited about releasing a Britney single in many, many years,” he added. “It’s that good. That’s all I’m gonna say about it at the moment. I haven’t heard a final mix of it, but I should get it in the next day or two. So far, what I’ve heard is just extraordinary. It really is amazing. Her fans will be very happy with it. I’m trying hard to get it out before the album comes out.”

Spears has teased on twitter that all sorts of announcements will be coming this week so we’ll keep watch.

WATCH: Britney Spears “Hold It Against Me” Video

Britney Spears debuted her brand new video for “Hold It Against Me” in it’s entirety last night on MTV.

Spears has been teasing the world with small snippets on twitter of the visuals and the premiere was full of classic Britney – and a whole lot of shameless product placement, her perfumes, PlentyOfFish.com, Sony…

Brian Freedman, the video choreographer, told MTV: “She’s showing that you have to push it as an artist: that you can’t just settle, that you can’t be calm with your choreography, that you have to make a statement,” he told MTV. “There’s so many people out there competing in this world to be the queen of pop, and she’s definitely claiming her throne.”

Friedman added that Spears “pushed the envelope” further than any of her past videos, and the result is “a masterpiece.” Meanwhile, her manager Adam Leber called it “epic.”

Watch it below and sound off – what did you think of the video?
