Cate Blanchett At 2011 Oscars

Cate Blanchett looks regal as she arrives at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards at The Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 27th.

The actress chose a softly colored lilac embroidered pearl gown from Givenchy Spring Couture with jewelry by Van Cleef & Arpels for the 2011 Oscars. The back contains accents of yellow pearls that wrap to the front of the neckline. The dress is high fashion art and she looks stunning.

Cate Blanchett Is Van Cleef & Arpels Elegant

The lovely Cate Blanchett attended the opening gala for Set In Style: The Jewelry of Van Cleef & Arpels at the Cooper Hewitt Design Museum in New York City on February 16th.

In her next big screen role, the actress will play an ex-CIA agent and costar with Saoirse Ronan in Hannah. The film hits theaters due April 8th.

Here’s the first trailer for the upcoming film Hanna.

Looks like it has the potential to be a really great film. Great actors, interesting plot, hope it’s as good as it looks from this trailer. Cate Blanchett always pegs her roles, and she seems perfectly cut out for this one.

Cate Blanchett Covers W Magazine

Cate Blanchett is W Magazine‘s cover girl for June 2010.  I rather like the cover image, but the rest of the shoot is very dark and moody and slightly creepy. Well, maybe that sums up Cate right there.  I mean, she’s gorgeous (those cheekbones!) but they’ve made her eyes look almost demonic.

Cate was styled by Lori Goldstein and wears pieces from Etro’s Fall 2010 collection.   You can see her in Ridley Scott‘s Robin Hood, in theaters now.

First ‘Robin Hood’ Trailer Fails to Excite

Robin Hood Image

Here’s the very first trailer for the upcoming film Robin Hood starring Russell Crowe.

Ok, so if the commentary and titles didn’t tell me this was a movie about Robin Hood I would have never guessed it from the visuals. This looks so much like Gladiator it’s a little strange, I hope this script is really good but the trailer looks pretty bland. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing this, I’m just not as excited as I would like to be.

Brad Pitts The Curious Case of Benjamin Button Movie Trailer

Brad Pitt‘s new movie is curious! It tells the story of a baby boy named Benjamin Button that is born old and physically ages backwards. Confusing?? Oh yeah! Now imagine when he starts to fall in love with a woman (Cate Blanchett). Benjamin wants to spend his life with her but has to deal with their aging in different directions.

Im really curious to see this movie! I can only imagine how confusing its going to be

Director David Fincher said, Its dark, its romantic, and it also deals with mortality in a pretty unflattering way. Button is born in 1919 – with the film itself beginning in World War I, traveling around the world and carrying on all the way through to the year 2000.

After the jump we have a sneak peek trailer of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button to be released this year in December… (Read the article)
