Celeb Quote Of The Day: Cate Blanchett

cate

“I’ve got the ugliest hairstyle I’ve ever seen.  If that doesn’t send signals that she’s the villain then there’s no point. Once I got into it, I actually found it quite liberating playing a really bad girl because you can sort of do anything you want.”

Cate Blanchett to OK! Magazine on her turn as Russian villain Irina Spalko in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Cate “wanted to be Indiana Jones when she was younger,” so she jumped at the chance to join the Crystal Skull cast.  “hen Steven Spielberg said, ‘Come be a part of Indiana Jones’, I could hardly say ‘no’… I grew up with the Indy films; they’re part of cinematic landscape.”

I’ll agree that they put her in a god-awful wig for the movie, but nothing can prevent Cate from shining, IMO.

Stunning Cate Blanchett in purple/black dress for the Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of The Crystal Skull photocall at the Cannes Film Festival.

Cate just recently gave birth to her third son, Ignatius, a little over a month ago but she is already looking fabulous. That should be illegal! I wonder what kind of crazy work out and treatments these celebrities go through to look as hot as ever after pregnancy… they must do some kinda deal with the devil!!

First Photos of Cate Blanchett’s Baby Boy Ignatius Martin

Just barely after a week of giving birth to her third son, Cate Blanchett was as scheduled in the Australia 2020 Summit and she brought her new bundle of joy, baby Ignatius Martin Upton.

I’m surprised Cate would actually be up in business so soon but showing the world her newborn?! I guess not all celebrities are thinking on cashing some good amount for their baby’s photos.

RESPECT!!

Mom Cate is so happy and looking amazing! I just wish we could have a better look at Ignatius…

Cate Blanchett Portrays Bob Dylan in New Film

Cate Blanchett

Reclusive singer and songwriter, Bob Dylan has never approved of a retelling of his life story. I’m Not There, the new Todd Haynes directed film starring Cate Blanchett, Heath Ledger, Christian Bale and Richard Gere is a first. The story follows six actors who interpret Dylan’s life thru six different personalities, none of them named Bob Dylan. This has Oscar winning actress Blanchett wondering if fans will understand the story.

“It doesn’t make sense in terms of it being a non-conventional narrative. I think it definitely makes sense but in a dreamlike musical way. You have to let the film wash over you,” the Australian actress said of “I’m Not There.”

The film is getting mixed reviews, except for Blanchett, who really does no wrong in acting or movie role choices. Next up for her, Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Ugh, that movie title is awful.
