Amanda Bynes Busted For DUI After Hitting Cop Car (Lilac Hair Mugshot PHOTO)

The early morning hours were not friendly for former Nickelodeon star Amanda Bynes.

The 26 year-old tried to go around a police car at 3 AM and instead ended up clipping the back panel of the cop’s vehicle. Bynes was immediately pulled over and police found her unfit to be behind the wheel.

Bynes was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and taken to the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station for booking. She was released after posting $5,000 bail.

The Easy A star has not had a court date set and the investigation is still considered ongoing.

Bynes has hit the Hollywood party scene recently and TMZ reports the actress was in the process of receiving a ticket for driving while talking on her cell when she fled the scene.

The website also noted they filmed her coming out of Greystone Manor on St. Patrick’s Day (March 17th) and she appeared intoxicated but still drove herself home.

Her mugshot is below. (Read the article)

George Clooney Arrested In Washington D.C. For Sudan Protest

George Clooney and his father, Nick Clooney were arrested today in Washington D.C. at a protest outside the Sudanese Embassy.

The Descendants star was part of a group that included religious leaders, human rights activists and four Congress members – Al Green, Jim McGovern, Jim Moran and John Oliver – that were taken in to custody after defying a police order to move off of the Embassy’s private property.

In an effort to call attention to what they say is Sudanese president Omar al-Bashir‘s blockade of humanitarian aid and the continued slaughter of his own people, Clooney said it was time for the government to bring it to an end.

“This is for the government in Khartoum to stop randomly killing its own innocent men, women and children,” the 50 year-old actor said as he was being taken away.

“Stop raping them and stop starving them. That’s all we ask.”

Clooney’s rep released a statement on the actor and his father’s involvement in the protest:

“They were protesting the violence committed by the government of Sudan on its own innocent men, women and children. They were demanding they allow humanitarian aid into the country before it becomes the largest humanitarian crisis in the world.”

Clooney testified before Congress on Wednesday and has met with president Barack Obama over the situation in the Sudan.

The actor was taken into custody by the Secret Service and will be charged with disorderly crossing of a police line, a misdemeanor.

Russell Brand Arrested In New Orleans

Russell Brand

Russell Brand is sick of the paparazzi and he wanted to make sure the unsuspecting office windows of New Orleans know it.  The actor, who is in New Orleans filming a movie, got himself in a bit of trouble this week when he decided a photographer went just a little too far.

On Monday, Brand evidently snatched an iPhone from a paparazzo, who was taking his picture, and threw it through the window of a local law firm.  The photographer filed charges for criminal damages amounting to $700, and a warrant was issued for Brand’s arrest.

Ever the responsible citizen, Brand turned himself in to the New Orleans Police on Thursday.  He was booked and released shortly thereafter.  He also paid $240 to the law firm whose window he smashed.   Presumably he can afford to replace the guy’s iPhone, too, so why the charges?   Is the pap just trying to make a point because he can?

Randy Travis Arrest Video: ‘Are You Kidding Me?’

Country music superstar Randy Travis was arrested in Texas last week for public intoxication on February 5th after a Super Bowl celebration and his arrest video was just released.

The tape was recorded by a dashboard camera from the police car and shows the officers approaching Travis, who was sitting in his car, but not driving.

The 52 year-old was cooperative with authorities, answering their questions, but was incredulous when he was informed he was being taken into custody.

“Really? Are you kidding me?” Travis asks the officer.

The “Forever and Ever, Amen” singer was more worried about getting back to his car, wondering if someone would “drive me back to my vehicle” after his arrest.

Travis was eventually booked on misdemeanor public intoxication in Sanger, Texas and released after a few hours in custody.

“I apologize for what resulted following an evening of celebrating the Super Bowl,” Travis said in a statement the next day. “I’m committed to being accountable, and apologize for my actions.”

Lindsay Lohan (Dresses Appropriately For Court) Gets Sentenced To 30 Days For Parole Violation

Lindsay Lohan went to court today, dressed in a modest navy and white polka-dot dress, to find out exactly what her sentence would be for violating conditions of her probation.

Lohan, who was kicked out of the Downtown Women’s Shelter in Los Angeles for being a no-show, faced Judge Stephanie Sautner this morning in court and was sentenced to 30 days in jail.

The judge also was absolutely clear – no house arrest for Lindsay, she will be incarcerated.

Because of over-crowding, almost all non-violent offenders in California only serve 20% of that time behind bars. That translates to approximately 6 days of time.

Once she’s out of jail, the rest of Lohan’s remaining probation conditions were altered slightly – she must do all her community service at the Los Angeles County Morgue.

Sautner outlined a schedule for Lindsay to complete her time and she must start her work at the morgue the next business day.

Beginning December 14th, she must have completed 12 days at the morgue and 4 psychotherapy sessions. By January 17th, 12 more days and 4 more sessions. Each month she has to have that minimum number of days of work and therapy until the end of her probation – March 29, 2012.

Lindsay was also cautioned about tweeting her experiences at the morgue.

If she fails to comply the judge said she will issue an arrest warrant for Lohan and she will serve 270 days in jail.

Lohan was given until November 9th to surrender to be allowed to finish her Playboy shoot and get any personal affairs in order before she spends her week in a single cell.

Can I just say that I have high hopes for Lindsay because she dressed appropriately, finally! It could be a turning point and I hope it shows that she really understands that she’s responsible for her own predicament.

Lindsay Lohan’s Probation Revoked

Lindsay Lohan has just had her probation revoked by Judge Stephanie Sautner.

Lohan, who appeared in court today for a progress report on the community service requirements of her probation stemming from multiple arrests over the years, has a number of conflicting issues that the Judge wants to sort out on a hearing she scheduled for November 2nd.

The main issue is that the Mean Girls actress was kicked out of the Downtown Women’s Center – the place she was specifically ordered to perform her community service by Judge Sautner – because she missed 9 scheduled appointments.

Lohan was also ordered to complete the 360 hours in 4 hour shifts. The report the judge had said Lohan had only done one shift for less than 2 hours before she left.

Shawn Holley, Lohan’s lawyer, mentioned that Lohan has completed most of the probation requirements the court has set out for her, but the judge was not sympathetic saying Lohan made her own mess and only completed things in the days just before a hearing implying Lohan was barely making the commitments.

Judge Sautner noted that Lohan has completed her court-ordered shoplifter’s diversion course, but also remarked that she’s had 6 months to complete it and didn’t finish it until the night before this hearing.

The judge also told Lohan that the probation department did not have the authority to reassign her to the Red Cross, which it did last week after the Downtown Women’s Shelter said she couldn’t come back right away. Lohan will not get credit for those hours.

Instead the judge reassigned her to the other part of her probation – 120 hours in the morgue. Judge Sautner was very clear that Lindsay must complete at least 2, 8 hour shifts per week leading up to the probation hearing on November 2nd.

The judge decided Lindsay could have bail at $50,000 on each of the two counts she is serving probation for.

Lohan was taken out of the court in handcuffs to post bail and Holley said she had a bondsman on hand to handle her bail.

Soulja Boy Arrested For Felony Drug Possession, Out On Bail

Soulja Boy

Rapper Soulja Boy was arrested in Georgia early Tuesday morning, October 18, after a routine traffic stop revealed more than he and his passengers bargained for.

Soulja Boy, whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way, was riding in an SUV near Temple, Georgia, with four other occupants.   They were pulled over due to a broken light on their vehicle.  The Times-Georgian reports that the officer found “handguns, less than $50,000 in cash and more than five ounces of marijuana” in the car, which was a rental and was being driven by a hired driver.  A puppy was also evidently found in the car.

The men were all charged with three crimes:  felony possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.  Way’s bond was set at $10,000 and he was released on Tuesday afternoon after posting bail.

‘Hannah Montana’ Star Mitchel Musso Busted For DUI – He’s Only 20

Mitchel Musso, Miley Cyrus‘ former costar in the super successful show Hannah Montana has been popped for DUI in Burbank, California.

The actor, who is 20 years-old and under the legal drinking age, was stopped on October 16th after he was directed to slow down by an officer on the scene of an accident.

“He drove through the intersection and failed to do what the officer instructed him to do,” Burbank Sgt. Sean Kelley said.

Musso was then pulled over where police say they noticed a “strong odor of alcohol” and he failed the field sobriety test. He also blew well over the legal limit .08 in a breathalyzer test that was administered, according to TMZ.

The actor and singer was booked on the DUI charge and then released for $5,000 in bail. No word on if he will be charged for underage drinking.

Anthony Michael Hall Arrested For Disturbing The Peace

Anthony Michael Hall was arrested on Monday evening in Los Angeles for allegedly disturbing the peace.

The 80s teen movie star (Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club with Molly Ringwald) had an ugly confrontation with a neighbor at his Playa del Rey, CA condominium complex.

A neighbor heard noises in the building and came out of his home to find Hall tearing up the plants. When the neighbor questioned Hall about what he was doing, the neighbor told police it turned frightening fast.

Hall allegedly responded with an obscenity and threatened to “beat him to a pulp.” A short time later, Hall knocked on the man’s front door and when the neighbor opened the door, the actor told him to come outside to fight, the sources said. The man slammed the door and called the police.

Hall’s neighbors also tell TMZ they are concerned about the actor’s temper. They allege this isn’t the first time The Dead Zone star has threatened them with one person telling the website they think they need protection.

“I have considered buying a gun to stay safe from Hall … he’s the scariest person I’ve ever encountered in my life.”

Hall was taken into custody by the LAPD without incident and released on the same night.
