Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber bundled up against the cold as they walked with their sons Samuel (4) and Alexander (5) in New York.

You’ll be seeing a lot of these two famous parents in the next several months.  Watts has been nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance in The Impossible, which will be released in the U.S. on December 21.  Her movie Diana, in which she plays Princess Diana, is in post-production and due out next year.  For his part, Schreiber can be seen in The Reluctant Fundamentalist, hitting theaters in spring 2013.  He also plays President Lyndon B. Johnson in next year’s The Butler.

90210 actress Shenae Grimes has a little more reason to make merry this holiday season:  her boyfriend of nine months, Josh Beech, popped the question, and of course she said yes.

Grimes announced her engagement to Beech, a male model who hails from England, on her website.  She said:

I’m a very happy lady indeed and all the warm wishes are well appreciated! We plan to keep our special day very private and we hope everyone can respect that.

Beech has been active in modeling for several years.  He has appeared in ads for H&M, Just Cavalli, Burberry and John Galliano.  Congratulations to these two lovebirds!

It’s been pretty obvious to anyone who’s been paying attention that Glee co-stars Cory Monteith and Lea Michele have been an item for quite a while now… off-screen as well as on.  There’s nothing like hearing it plainly stated, though, and fans have Ellen DeGeneres to thank for that.   Monteith appeared on Ellen’s show yesterday and it didn’t take much to get this confession out of him:

We are a couple.  Yeah.  Of course.  I mean we just had a lovely weekend, I took her snowboarding for her first time in Canada.

The relationship status of Chris Brown and Rihanna is anyone’s guess.  I’m not sure they had actually acknowledged that they were a couple when he beat her face in in 2009, but it’s been a mystery ever since.  But lately, what with him breaking up with Karreuche Tran because of Ri-Ri, attending her Halloween party, hanging out at clubs, trading tracks on each others’ albums, spending Thanksgiving together overseas, her posting photos of him in bed and all the rest… I mean.  And now they have matching Rolex watches.

They continue to refer to each other as “friends” and that’s fine, if a bit disingenuous.  I say that not to hate, but because I don’t know many people who smooch their friends like Chris and Ri-Ri are in this picture.   It’s fine for them to say their relationship is “Nobody’s Business,” but if you don’t like the speculation then why post it on Instagram?  Not hating, just saying.

The Royal Family could be getting an extra-special Christmas present next month!  A close friend and former schoolmate of Kate Middleton says that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting a baby.

Jessica Hay attended the Marlborough School with the Duchess, and was a guest at her wedding to Prince William last year.   She told Life & Style magazine:

“I have this on the highest authority, and it’s not to be taken lightly. It’s going to be wonderful, happy news when it’s announced.”

Hay says she expects the couple to be wonderful parents.

“William will definitely be a hands-on dad and not rely heavily on nannies to raise his and Catherine’s children. They both try to be as normal as possible in their private lives, and that of course is going to continue when they have children.”

I’m not sure how much longer Hay will be counted among the Royal Couple’s close friends after leaking information like this (nor, by the way, if this story should even be believed), but it’s exciting to think about Wills and Kate having a baby, isn’t it?

Brad Pitt hinted yesterday that he and Angelina Jolie could be marrying sooner rather than later – that is, if his optimism about marriage equality is warranted.

The couple, who got engaged last year under pressure from their kids, are still committed to not marrying until marriage equality has been achieved nationwide.  However, Pitt says that Barack Obama‘s re-election has him feeling pretty positive.  He told the New York Daily News:

“[T]he time has come.  It’s soon and I got a good feeling about it.  It’s equality, that’s what I’m pushing.  That’s what separates us. That’s what makes this country great.”

Pitt shares that he and Jolie are glad they got engaged, even if a wedding is some time off.

“I’ll tell you what, since we’ve been engaged, I’m surprised how much it meant to me and everyone should have that.”

The kids haven’t let up, though.  They probably won’t until they finally see their parents say “I do.”

Alyssa Milano and Dave Bugliari surely won the Best Parents Award this weekend for taking little Milo to see Yo Gabba Gabba! Live in Los Angeles.  Mom and Dad really got into the spirit, wearing Foofa and Plex hats.  Little man partied so hard at the show that he lost a shoe!  Sounds like the family had a fun holiday weekend all around, with Milo helping cook part of the Thanksgiving meal.   Not too shabby for a one year old….

It’s complicated, bitch!  Y’all remember Jason Allen Alexander, Britney Spears‘ friend to whom she was wed for 55 hours in 2004?    Rumor has it that he and Shar Jackson are getting pretty cozy.  Yes, the same Shar Jackson who is Brit-Brit’s ex-husband Kevin Federline‘s baby mama.

In other words, Spears’ ex is dating her ex’s ex.   Do you need a diagram?  I nearly do.

A “source” explains the history behind this all-in-the-family hookup:

“Shar and Jason were introduced several years ago…and have been friends ever since, but a few weeks ago they began dating.  Shar has had a rough year… Jason stood by her side, and he gets along great with her children.”

Those would be K-Fed’s kids, Kori and Kaleb, and Jackson’s two older children, Donnie and Cassie.

Hey, here’s an idea:  if Shar and Jason don’t work out, maybe they can make the trading complete, and she can date Brit and he can date K-Fed.  Or maybe, if Kevin and his current girl, Victoria Prince, break up, she can give Jason a call.  Oh, and too bad Justin Timberlake just got married; he could hook up with Shar and then the incestuous circle would be complete.

Sing it with me, kids:  “Reunited, and it feels so good…. reunited and it’s understood….”    Though it’s hard to know exactly what is understood between on-again, off-again couple Kat Von D and Deadmau5.   On November 10, she tweeted that they were no longer together, saying

Man, I sure was wrong. But at least he made it a no-brainer to break that off. #lessonlearned

Deadmau5 was equally candid, tweeting:

going to spend a little while screwing my head back on. i guess im not cut out for relationships right now. and it happened too fast, i lost my balance and fell into a familiar dark place that im having difficulty with. she deserves someone stronger.

Four days later, Kat was posting emoticon hearts, and a few days after that, Deadmau5 was posting pictures of her at a piano.   I guess that was “a little while”?  On Wednesday, she tweeted “Back to square one,” which sounds like a reconciliation if I ever saw one.  Since then it’s just been one big old online love fest between these two.

It’s been a real life love fest too.  They were spotted in Hollywood on Friday walking hand in hand, looking very much a couple.   Who knows what will happen tomorrow.  At least we know we can count on them to broadcast it via social media.  Good luck, you crazy kids.

After 5 1/2 years, beautiful couple Kimora Lee Simmons and Djimon Hounsou are calling it quits.  Simmons’ rep confirmed the split to People on Wednesday.

Simmons and Hounsou were never legally married, but in 2008 they participated in a traditional commitment ceremony in Hounsou’s native Benin (West Africa).   The couple are parents to a son, Kenzo Lee Hounsou (3 1/2 yrs).  Simmons is also mom to two daughters, Ming (12) and Aoki (10), with her ex-husband Russell Simmons.

Hounsou can next be seen about  year from now in The Seventh Son, a fantasy adventure flick.   Simmons is the President and Creative Director of Just Fab, a shopping website.
