Bethenny Frankel has just pulled the plug on her marriage to Jason Hoppy and Ellen DeGeneres sits down with the reality TV star and business woman to let her talk about the split on today’s (Jan 9th) episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

DeGeneres, 54, started out by explaining that the 40 year-old had been a scheduled guest before news of her divorce hit. “As I can see you are already getting emotional. You could’ve canceled easily. You were booked for this show and you could have easily canceled… These are just some of the magazines that you’re on the cover of and that’s got to hurt like hell to have to deal with that.”

The Skinnygirl founder explained: “Do I want to be doing this exact thing right now? No, but I can’t just only be on reality TV and show everything when it’s fairy princess, fairy tale and then not take my hits when I have to,” Frankel told Ellen. “I’ve kind of had the best worst year ever. I feel like a bit of a disappointment to all of you. And I feel like a failure.”

Fighting tears, Frankel continued: “I wanted the fairy tale. I thought I had it. And [daughter]Bryn is my fairy tale…I get letters…So many people have been so supportive and some people are judgmental and I really understand. But I also get letters from people saying, now I don’t believe in love and that’s just not true. Love is everywhere. It’s the road and you’re on it. It has peaks and valley and that’s what it is but I don’t know how people go through this because this is excruciating. I have to say.”

The Bethenny Ever After star added: “But look, the truth is, I wanted to rip the Band-Aid off so it could start to heal. This will obviously be better. I’m scared of the unknown future. You know everything and one day you don’t know. So I’m scared. I’m older. And I want to be able to say to people, ‘It’s about what I do now.’ I never thought I’d be a role model but I think to some people I am or have been. So this is an important time because it’s about what I do next. How I handle myself now with grace, with dignity. This is the time now that matters.”

Troubled husband and wife Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy have finally decided to end their marriage.   Frankel announced the news in a statement.

“It brings me great sadness to say that Jason and I are separating. This was an extremely difficult decision that as a woman and a mother, I have to accept as the best choice for our family.  We have love and respect for one another and will continue to amicably co-parent our daughter who is and will always remain our first priority. This is an immensely painful and heartbreaking time for us.”

The couple’s relationship has been on the rocks nearly this entire year; there have been numerous reports of temporary splits and cheating rumors.  In January, Frankel told Life & Style that their sex life had all but dried up.  All of this, naturally, played out during the third and final season of her reality show, Bethenny Ever After.    It’s hard enough having marital problems, but having them with cameras in your face surely only makes them worse.

Bethenny and Jason married in March 2010, when she was seven months pregnant; their daughter Bryn was born in May.  She’s been insanely busy ever since, launching an exercise DVD, an audio book and two regular books; selling her Skinnygirl cocktail line in exchange for a small fortune; and developing a talk show.   Jason, in comparison, has a fairly quiet career in pharmaceutical sales and real estate.   This will be Bethenny’s second divorce; her 1996 marriage to Peter Sussman lasted less than a year.

They finally got around to it!  After a year of separation, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher are finally on their way to legally ending their relationship.  Kutcher filed for divorce today, December 21, in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

The filing cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for former Hollywood power couple’s split.  However, we all know what drove them apart last year:  naughty Ashton’s fling with two hot chicks.  Kutcher says he’s not seeking spousal support from Moore, but has left the door open for her to request the same.   She likely won’t:  according to Celebrity Net Worth, they are on pretty equal financial grounds (hers is estimated as $150M to his $140M).

After just 18 months of marriage, Track Palin has divorced his wife Britta Hanson.

The pair, who were high school sweethearts, wed in Alaska in May 2011.  They have one child, a daughter named Kyla, who was born just a few months later.

Track, who is the son of conservative pundit and former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin, is 23 years old and a commercial fisherman; Britta is a nurse.  According to E! Looks like Danica Patrick‘s marriage to Paul Hospenthal has hit a wall.    The NASCAR driver and GoDaddy girl announced the split via her Facebook page, saying:

“I am sad to inform my fans that after 7 years, Paul and I have decided to amicably end our marriage. This isn’t easy for either of us, but mutually it has come to this. He has been an important person and friend in my life and that’s how we will remain moving forward.”

Patrick and Hospenthal, a sports physical therapist, married in 2005; they met when she sought his services to treat a yoga injury.  In 2010, Hospenthal told The New Yorker that it was often hard being a sports spouse (“Mr. Danica Patrick”) but that ultimately, it was all good.

“…she’s Danica Patrick, for Pete’s sake.  I carry her helmet at the racetrack, and if the guys want to snicker at me, well, it’s my wife. That’s what you do. I really think that’s one of the biggest things that make us work.”

Too bad that’s not working out any more.

Patrick was recently named 2012′s Most Popular NASCAR Driver.

 The bloom is off the rose for Mayim Bialik‘s marriage to Michael Stone.  The Big Bang Theory and Blossom star announced on her blog today that she and her husband of nine years are divorcing.

Citing irreconcilable differences, Bialik wrote:

“Divorce is terribly sad, painful and incomprehensible for children.  It is not something we have decided lightly…The main priority for us now is to make the transition to two loving homes as smooth and painless as possible.  Our sons [Frederick, 4, and Miles, 7] deserve parents committed to their growth and health and that’s what we are focusing on. Our privacy has always been important and is even more so now, and we thank you in advance for respecting it as we negotiate this new terrain.”

Bialik and Stone were married in August 2003 in a traditional Jewish ceremony.

Soon-to-be divorced Joe Simpson can loudly affirm his heterosexuality all he wants, but a certain male model says otherwise.  The New York Daily News reports that 21 year old Bryce Chandler Hill has been “bragging” about dating Simpson, who is 54, for the last year.   And it’s not exactly new news for everyone:

“Joe Simpson being outed…is no surprise to the gay community in Hollywood.  Bryce has been bragging about hooking up with Joe for a while now.  Bryce is desperate to become famous, he’s done lots of modeling shoots and wants to become an actor.  When he met Joe, he knew what a good job he had done in managing [his daughters'] careers and wanted a piece of the pie himself.”

The source also says that Hill “mocks and laughs at Joe behind his back,” and is just using him to get ahead.

Hill has staunchly denied the rumors, posting to his Twitter page on Friday:

Yes, I’ve read the story….it’s simply NOT TRUE.

Today, responding to two supportive messages, Hill said:

It’s crazy to have to deal w/ a complete fabrication.

and

It’s so awful that someone would make this shit up and put my family and me through this

Do we believe this story?  One would think that if Hill was really just trying to get famous, he’d love being in the spotlight.  On the other hand, denying the stories will drag them out further, keeping him in the news even longer, so perhaps it’s all very strategic.   And honestly, does it matter if Joe Simpson is gay?  No, it does not.  But of course we want to hear more about this story as it unfolds…

Domestic strife is afoot in the Simpson household.  The couple responsible for bringing us the careers of Jessica Simpson and Ashlee Simpson,Tina Simpson and Joe Simpson, are headed to divorce court.

She’s leaving him:  Tina filed divorce papers in Texas last month, reports TMZ.  “Papa Joe”‘s classy response states that his wife should get nothing in their breakup.  (None of the money he’s made off his daughters’ careers, in other words. )

The elder Simpsons married in 1978.  Jessica was born in 1980 and Ashlee in 1984.  They launched their children into the entertainment biz and closely managed their careers; Joe still manages both his daughters.  He’s been accused of being a svengali, essentially pimping out his girls for his own monetary gain , trying to manage their personal lives as well as their work, and making tasteless comments about Jessica’s ta-tas, such as:

“She’s got double-Ds! You can’t cover those suckers up.”

What a dad.  Tina and Joe were rumored to have split up in 2008.  Two months ago, he was tagged on a DUI charge.  Things just couldn’t be better for Papa Joe.

Say it ain’t so…

Actors Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman are separating after being married for 30 years.

DeVito, 67, and Perlman, 64, wed in 1982 and were together for 11 years before tying the knot. They met in the early 70s when DeVito was working on Broadway. A rep for the pair confirms the split but no other details are available.

The It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia actor and Cheers actress have had tremendous success on television as well as being partners in Jersey Films – a production company responsible for a number of blockbuster movies. Matilda, Pulp Fiction, Erin Brokovich and Garden State are among the hits under their company’s banner.

The couple have three grown children: Lucy, 29, Grace, 27, and Daniel, 25.

Vanity Fair is set to publish a report in their October issue on Tom Cruise and Scientology, alleging the actor and the organization were vetting female members who could be a suitable match for the actor to marry.

The auditions took place in 2004, after his marriage to Nicole Kidman was over and before he met Katie Holmes and was run by the head of Scientology, David Miscaviage‘s wife Shelly.

VF reporter Maureen Orth writes that audition tapes were made (filmed by other Scientologists while labeling it a “special project”) and many young actresses were under consideration before Iranian-born Nazanin Boniadi was the eventual recruit for the job.

Boniadi and her mother were both practicing Scientologists at the time (neither are believed to be members of the controversial church any longer) with Nazanin undergoing the church’s audit process daily for a month:

“In a month-long preparation in October 2004, she was audited every day, a process in which she told a high-ranking Scientology official her innermost secrets and every detail of her sex life. Boniadi allegedly was told to lose her braces, her red highlights, and her boyfriend. According to a knowledgeable source, she was shown confidential auditing files of her boyfriend to expedite a breakup.”

Boniadi, now 32, and Cruise were a couple from November of 2004 to January 2005 with Boniadi moving into Cruise’s home.

When the relationship fell apart, (Cruise reportedly wanted someone “with her own power – like Nicole Kidman,”) the article alleges Boniadi was “punished” for talking about it to another Scientologist and violating the confidentiality agreements she signed.

Orth said the discipline included “scrubbing toilets with a toothbrush, cleaning tiles with acid and digging ditches in the middle of the night.” Boniadi also had to sell copies of L. Ron Hubbard‘s book Dianetics on street corners in Florida.

Cruise and the Church vehemently deny the story and the accusations.

“The Church does not punish people, especially in that way,” they said in a statement to ABC.

In addition Cruise said through a rep: “Lies in a different font are still lies – designed to sell magazines.”

Boniadi has had roles on TV’s General Hospital and How I Met Your Mother. She is also a human right activist with Amnesty International.

Cruise and his third wife, Katie Holmes just finalized their divorce this summer and are sharing custody of their 6 year-old daughter Suri Cruise.
