Kim Kardashian has decided to cut her Australian promotional tour short and flee Down Under because she’s having a hard time dealing with the stress and questions surrounding her decision to file for divorce just 72 days after marrying Kris Humphries.

The 31 year-old reality star was lined up for an appearance at an Australian horse racing event and a visit to Melbourne Cup Carnival for Swisse vitamins marquee on Saturday for which she was reportedly expected to make more than $150,000.

Kim, who did make an appearance in Sydney at the Westfield Miranda shopping center with her sister and brother-in-law Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian-Odom, said although she wasn’t able to make Saturday’s appearance, she wants to come back.

“I’m very disappointed that I am unable to attend the Swisse marquee but I hope to come back and work with the Swisse team at another point in time,” Us Weekly reports.

In the one interview she did give with Sydney’s Sunrise show, Kim said the rumors of money grubbing is what’s bothering her the most.

“I think what really just, I think, upsets me most is that there has been from the start so many rumors of money and dollar signs all these things thrown up in the air… and so much of it not being true,” Kardashian said.

“It’s kind of what you get from living your life so publicly on a reality show. I get that,” she claimed.

The New Girl will be going solo.

Zooey Deschanel and her husband, Ben Gibbard have announced they are splitting up.

Dechanel, 31, and Gibbard, 35, met 3 years ago when their mutual music manager set them up together. (Zooey is in the group She & Him and Ben fronts Death Cab for Cutie.)

The pair subsequently married in Seattle, Washington in 2009.

A source says the separation isn’t messy.

“It was mutual and amicable,” the source shared. “There was no third party involved.”

People magazine reports that a divorce is on the horizon and this does not appear to be a trial separation.

Deschanel is currently busy with New Girl, her hit show for Fox, and she just released a holiday album – A Very She & Him Christmas.

Skeptics aren’t buying the fact that Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries televised wedding and subsequent 72 day marriage wasn’t a publicity ploy and that angers Kim.

Kardashian, who filed for divorce from Humphries on Monday, tries to set the record straight for all the Doubting Thomas’ that her wedding was not a sham just for television.

“First and foremost, I married for love,” she wrote on her blog. “I can’t believe I even have to defend this. I would not have spent so much time on something just for a TV show!”

Kim further states that she did not make money off her nuptials and that all the gifts will be given to charity.

“There are also reports that I made millions of dollars off of the wedding. These reports are simply not true and it makes me so sad to have to even clarify this. I’m so grateful to everyone who took the time to come to my wedding and I’ll be donating the money for all the gifts to the Dream Foundation.”

So I guess she didn’t sell the rights to the photos of her wedding for millions or the licensing deal with E! to televise it for millions? She gave it away for free?

Kardashian chalks up the whole experience to “getting caught up with the hoopla” and says she is a “hopeless romantic.”

This is Kim’s second marriage. Her first, when she was just 19, was to record producer Damon Thomas and lasted 4 years.

Everyone act surprised… the reality TV fairytale marriage of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries is over.

Kardashian filed for divorce on Monday just 72 days after she married Humphries in an elaborate, multi-million dollar wedding for her family’s E! reality show.   Her petition cites “irreconcilable differences” and indicates that she does not want to pay spousal support to Humphries.

“Irreconcilable differences”?  Please.   As far as I’m concerned, there are three possible scenarios here.  One, E! wasn’t happy with the ratings that Humphries was pulling, so they’ve ordered Kardashian to find a new husband.  Two, it’s just a stunt to increase ratings and she’ll withdraw her petition in a few weeks.  Three, they just rushed into marriage without thinking.  And maybe it’s a combination of all of the above.

Alt/indie rock couple Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore, founding members of the band Sonic Youth, have announced their marriage separation.

Gordon, 58, and Moore, 53, have been married for 27 years and have one 17 year-old daughter, Coco.

“Musicians Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore, married in 1984, are announcing they have separated,” a statement from reps at their label, Matador Records said.

“Sonic Youth, with both Kim and Thurston involved, will proceed with its South American tour dates in November. Plans beyond that tour are uncertain. The couple has requested respect for their personal privacy and does not wish to issue further comment.”

Moore and Gordon began Sonic Youth in the early 80s with Lee Ranaldo. The group has gone on to release 9 albums, including the 2009 critically acclaimed The Eternal.

Their 1988 recording, Daydream Nation, is considered pivitol in paving the way for 90s college radio/alternative rock bands like Nirvana and Hole – whom both Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love had a close friendship with.

Moore has a solo effort out, Demolished Thoughts, and is scheduled to tour Europe starting November 27th.

Now that Arnold Schwarzenegger is out of the California Governor’s office, it has freed him up to do a lot of other projects, including getting back into films.

One other project the Terminator star has brewing – a memoir.

Schwarzenegger, 64, will title the book Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story and will recount his movie-making heydays, his bodybuilding career and his time in the political arena.

“Truly, Arnold is one of the most fascinating figures of our time, and one of the greatest success stories in the world,” Jonathan Karp, the publisher of Simon & Schuster, said in a statement. “Nobody has a life story even close to his.”

The four-time Mr. Universe has been working on the book since 2010 and is collaborating with publishing heavyweights Simon & Schuster, who also put out his 1977 book The Education of a Bodybuilder.

Schwarzenegger is collaborating with Peter Petre, who also worked with Alan Greenspan and Norman Schwarzkopf biographies.

No word on how much Schwarzenegger is being paid or how much detail he will reveal regarding the scandal of the love-child he fathered with his housekeeper 14 years ago and his subsequent divorce from Maria Shriver.

The infamous White House gatecrashing couple, Tareq Salahi and Michaele Salahi are headed to divorce court.

Earlier this week, Tareq was frantically looking for his wife, telling authorities he thought she had been kidnapped.

Within hours of the police report, it was discovered that Michaele was not in jeopardy but had run off to be with Journey guitarist Neal Schon.

The 47 year-old winery owner wasted no time filing for divorce citing adultery and abandonment at the end of the week.

Among the humiliating things Tareq has endured according to court documents, he received an email photo from the musician of his 57 year-old schlong. Blech.

TMZ reports “Tareq says in the papers, “the paramour [Neal] sent to my email account … a email with an attachment of a penis” — presumably his.”

Tareq says that there is a pre-nup between him and Michaele.

Schon will probably receive his walking papers too. He was married just two months ago in Paris to Ava Fabien and she is none too pleased with the rock star.

Melissa Gilbert has turned in the paperwork to end her marriage to Bruce Boxleitner.

The 47 year-old actress announced the split from her husband of 16 years in winter of this year but until yesterday, no one had filed the legal docs to permanently end the marriage.

“We have loved each other for a very long time and we share four incredible sons together,” Gilbert said in a statement at the time of the separation. “On behalf of our family we ask to be allowed our privacy during this very difficult time.

Gilbert and her lawyers turned the petition in to LA Superior Court with a separation date in January of 2011. Citing “irreconcilable differences,” she is seeking spousal support and joint physical custody of their son, 15 year-old Michael Boxleitner.

The couple also have other children. Gilbert has one son, Dakota, from her previous marriage to director Bo Brinkman. The 61 year-old Boxleitner has two sons; Sam and Lee, from his previous marriage to actress Kathryn Ogilvy.

Gilbert’s sister and The Talk co-host Sara Gilbert also split from her partner, Allison Adler this week.

Tragedy strikes Bravo‘s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as one cast member’s husband committed suicide.

Taylor Armstrong‘s husband, Russell Armstrong was found dead in a friend’s home on Mulholland Drive after taking his own life. The 47 year-old businessman hung himself in his bedroom, according to TMZ sources.

Russell’s lawyer, Ronald Richards said he had been struggling with the separation and mounting financial problems, including a lawsuit recently filed against the RHOBH couple.

“I feel bad because his credit cards weren’t working … He had tremendous financial problems,” Richards told TMZ. “He was also extremely bummed out about the divorce with Taylor.

“As far as a will, even if he does have a will, they don’t have any assets, so I’m not sure what there would be left to leave. I am extremely saddened … I had no idea he was depressed.”

Taylor, 40, had filed for divorce from Russell in July citing physical and verbal abuse. They have one child, 5 year-old daughter Kennedy.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck split long ago but Lopez’ mom Guadalupe still thinks highly of him and sent The Town star an email asking for some advice.

JLo’s mom sent the email on July 12th, according to US Weekly, 3 days before the news of split Lopez and Marc Anthony’s became public and Ben replied.

“Guadalupe reached out to Ben over email. She wanted advice for Jennifer,” reveals a source.

“She always liked and trusted him. [Ben] replied back on email, wished her well and offered what he could,”

Despite the outwardly blissful life, Jennifer was unhappy and has low self-esteem which Marc took advantage of with his controlling ways and jealous rages, according to pals of Lopez.

Jennifer’s mom still thinks fondly of Affleck and had a soft spot for the man who dated her daughter for 18 months. Reaching out to him shows her level of trust and how much she wants to help her daughter.

When Jennifer and Ben split, Lopez went on to marry Anthony just a few months later. Affleck moved on to another Jennifer – actress Jennifer Garner - and has been married to her since 2005.
