Shenae Grimes looked like a disaster on the red carpet at Elle’s  Women In Hollywood Tribute.   Not that she’s known for her fashion sense, but I’m quite certain she just closed her eyes and pulled things randomly from her closet.  How else do you get this mess?   For one thing, she forgot her pants again. For another, I’d like to know what she did with the rest of the leopard whose feet she stole to make booties out of.  And for another,  who told her that a hunk of rock on a string was fashionable?  I suppose the upside is that if you get into any trouble you could tie it to the end of a stick and use it as a spearhead.   Bottom line:  this look is hideous!

Last night were the Los Premios MTV 2009 at the Gibson Amphitheatre  in Los Angeles, California.  We saw a ton of different looks in the Latino fashion world.  But, one sexy vixen that stuck out on the red carpet was Audrina Patridge.  The girl was rockin’ some serious hooker boots!  This outfit reminds me a lot of Faith Hill’s outfit during her intro song on Sunday Night Football on NBC.  Have you see it?  Well, I think Audrina did and she wanted the look.

There is a new heated debate in the fashion industry.  The French edition of Vogue magazine, the bible of fashion has pulled a stunt that most aren’t taking lightly.

Dutch model Lara Stone is pictured with her face plastered in dark brown make-up for this less than normal fashion shoot.  There is no explanation as to why she was turned to ‘black face’ for this shoot.  There are other pictures in the spread where she’s wearing her own white skin, and and then some of her covered in  white clay, wearing random and hats.

The magazine’s editor, Carine Roitfeld doesn’t see anything wrong and hasn’t commented on the outrage.

The organization’s president Dominique Sopo made a statement in Vogue’s defense,

‘If the aim was artistic, and not to pass off the model as a black girl, the fact that it produces such reactions shows that the world of images is now paying for its long tradition of not allowing black people to show their bodies in public.’

Ummm…k?  That still explains nothing.

No, I’m not about to compliment her, but for Bai Ling, this outfit is actually kind of NORMAL.  Our Lady Of Crazy showed up at An Evening Of Innovation And Inspiration In The Forbidden City in a black see-through lace mini-dress and blue pumps.  The dress is not quasi-artfully ripped in strategic places.  All her relevant body parts are covered up.  There’s not even really the possibility of a nip slip here.  And the blue highlights in her hair match her shoes!  Oh, Bai Ling, this is just too precious.  Thank goodness you are fondling the Chinese lion.  Otherwise I might not even know it was you.

Saturday (Sept 26th) night was the 7th Annual Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party at Milk Studios in Hollywood and I must say, the night looked fabulous!

There were a lot of fresh, young, bright faces on the red carpet.  But, the power package was all about Miranda Cosgove, Selena Gomez and Ashley Tisdale. Wow, these girls owned it!  I have never seen Miranda Cosgrove look so beautiful.  The iCarly star is certainly growing up.  I see her going  along way in her career, she’s got a lot of spunk!  She definitely gets my vote.

I’m surprising myself yet again by writing these words, but check out how cute Rihanna looks!  Generally these 1980s flashback styles give me the shudders, but she’s definitely working it.  I especially like her shoes, and how they tie in with the sunglasses.   (They’re even Ray-Bans, how much more 80s can you get??)  Even her oddly highlighted hair and bright red lipstick (wrong color for her, alas) are authentic.

Brava, Rihanna!  If you keep up this positive fashion trend, I am going to have to find someone else to mock.

Eve LaRue of CSI:Miami showed up at the ALMA Awards looking just about as cheap as cheap can be.  Her dress looks like she bought it off the rack at one of those prom dress stores at the ghetto mall.  You know which one I’m talking about!   How chintzy is this fabric?  But the cheaper the dress, the better the potential nip slip, right?    And what goes best with a cheap dress?  A spray tan the color of your co-star’s hair dye!

But that’s not even the best part.  Now you know if you wear showgirl shoes like these, your feet are naturally going to get a lot of attention.  So you’d want them to look their best, no?

Apparently, no.

Eve, Eve, Eve.  If you didn’t have time for a pedicure, at the very least you could have slapped a little Wet ‘n Wild on your toes before leaving the house.   Seriously, this whole get-up is one big fat FAIL.

Jennie Garth looked cute at the Entertainment Weekly & Women In Film pre-Emmy party at the Sunset Marquis Hotel in West Hollywood.

From the neck up, that is.

What in the world?  The elements of her outfit alone are not bad.  The dress is not the most flattering thing she could wear, but it would be fine with a cute pair of shoes (and a better bra - her right boob is all wonky).  The shoes are nice, and would actually look fine with the leggings and a great top - but all she’s done by putting all this together is make herself look like she’s about seven years old.  Or been getting fashion tips from Lindsay Lohan.

Miley Cyrus to time off from her tour to make a stellar appearance at the VH1 Divas in Brooklyn at the Academy of Music in New York City on Thursday night (Sept 17th).  The girl was amazing on the red carpet and then owned it up on stage.  Everything from Miley’s hair and makeup to her fishnets was fabulous. I am so in love with that backless dress!  Wow.

I think Miley fit in as a Diva for sure and I think she was playing with the ‘big girls’ like a pro … Miley isn’t that little girl anymore.  Watch out world!

Miranda Cosgrove, whom preteens and their parents know as the hyperspastic Carly from Nickelodeon’s iCarly, was spotted in Manhattan in a rather colorful get-up.

There is a LOT going on with this dress.  It’s like a modern art painting made into a garment.  I think it would be greatly improved by the elimination of the waistband belt, which just adds to the confusion.  Although I gotta say that I am glad to see her wearing something appropriate for a 16 year old girl to wear, unlike other teen stars we know.

I know Miranda is the star of iCarly, but I have to say I appreciate her co-star Jennette McCurdy much more.  She really knows how to do physical comedy - she’s got a little Lucille Ball in her, I think.  She cracks me up!

Wow.

Fergie chose a unique outfit for the Black Eyed Peas’ pre-game concert at the NFL season kickoff game.   How do you describe such a garment to your designer or stylist?  “Hey, I really think I should wear a halter top boned lace corset romper with drapey cut-outs on the hips?  Could you whip that up for me?”

(And her shoes and accessories scare me.)
