The 30 Rock actress, who is mother to 9 month-old Felix, opens up why she chose to use a gestational surrogate:

“It was a womb issue for me,” Banks revealed. “Embryos wouldn’t implant.”

“It’s a big leap, inviting this person into your life to do this amazing, important thing for you,” The Hunger Games actress explains. “And it’s hard losing that kind of control. But our surrogate is so extraordinary, and she’s still in our lives. She’s like an auntie.”

Speaking of The Hunger Games, Banks said she looked back to some great Hollywood actresses for inspiration in creating Effie Trinket’s (her character) voice:

“It’s based on my heroes, Rosalind Russell in Auntie Mame and Katharine Hepburn in The Philadelphia Story.”

Brad Pitt Says He’s Going To Retire At Age 50 But Might Have More Kids With Angelina Jolie

Brad Pitt says his days as a leading man are numbered.

The 47 year-old is thinking of retiring from acting by the age of 50 and perhaps dabbling more in the behind-the-scenes areas of filmmaking.

“Three years,” he told the Australian version of 60 Minutes. “Hell if I know [what I'll do next]. I’m really enjoying the producorial side and development of stories, and putting those pieces together, and getting those stories to the plate that might have had a tougher time otherwise.”

Pitt also said his children with partner Angelina Jolie influence the projects he picks. The father of six – Maddox, 10, Pax, 7, Zahara, 6, Shiloh, 5, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 3 years-old – wants his kids to be proud of their dad.

“If I’m choosing a film now, I want it to be maybe less immature than things I’ve done in the past. I’m very conscious they’re going to see it when they’re adults. I want it to mean something to them. I want them to think dad’s alright. It changes everything. Everything. And it’s so damn interesting,” Pitt said.

While he isn’t happy about the level of attention his family gets (“It’s the only thing I get hot about, that I’m ready to fight about,” he told the program,) the Moneyball actor knows his kids have a life of privilege that he’s happy they get to experience and says there is a possibility of more Jolie-Pitt offspring in the future.

“I don’t know that we’re finished. I don’t know yet. I don’t know,” he said.

‘Supernatural’ Star Jared Padalecki & Genevieve Cortese: They’re Having A Boy

It’s (going to be) a boy!

Supernatural star Jared Padalecki and his wife, actress Genevieve Cortese are expecting a baby in March and he revealed that not only do the couple know the sex of the child, they are happy to share with the world: it will be a boy.

“As cheesy as it sounds, I really want, and wanted, nothing more than a healthy baby,” he said.

Padalecki, 29, and Cortese, 30, are raising money for St. Jude Children’s Hospital in support of parents who have children that need treatment.

“We had countless inquiries as to where to send presents and cards, and we thought it would be a great opportunity to “give back” by having those gifts go to a charity that we’ve supported,” Padalecki said. “We tried to express that the best way to show us support would not be to support us, but to support ALONGSIDE us.”

He went on to say “As soon-to-be parents, it’s only natural to empathize with other new parents: and though we’re not technically parents yet, there’s already nothing more frightening than the thought of something happening to your child that you won’t be able to help.”

The couple have already raised over $13,000 of their $20,000 goal.
