Julianna Margulies just scored a SAG Award for her role as Alicia Florrick in The Good Wife.  She recently spoke with Parade about how she’s different from her character:

“I’m different [from Alicia], which makes it hard. My instincts are to be a little stronger because that’s just who I am in my own personal life. Every time I think of how Alicia would react, I have to take myself out of it. I think most women are too busy to have affairs. We’re exhausted. Women do not have the time. Dear lord, I mean, between the kids and the job and the cleaning and the cooking, honestly, we’re exhausted.”

Ain’t that the truth.

Mel Gibson stars in the new movie Edge of Darkness, “an emotionally charged thriller set at the intersection of politics and big business.”   Mel gets thrown around in this movie about as much as he has in the past, but this time, he says, it’s different.

“It’s getting harder. You wake up the next day like road kill, even though it’s just pretend fighting. Having some 25-year-old guy jamming you into walls and stuff wreaks havoc with your lumbar. I usually book a chiropractor in advance because you know it’s gonna suck.”

I’m pretty sure it would suck to be pretend beat up at any age, but at 54, I’m sure Mel’s feeling it plenty. Edge of Darkness opens on January 29th.  Check out the trailer here.

Megan Fox has opened her mouth again and said something stupid.  Which is nearly not even newsworthy at this point.  Strangely, though, for once she’s not talking about sex or how much sex she has or how much she wants to have sex or all the women and men she wants to have sex with. She recently commented on how females often treat each other.

“Girls can be a nightmare. Women tear each other apart. Girls think I’m a slut, and I’ve been in the same relationship since I was 18. The problem is, if they think you’re attractive, you’re either stupid or a whore or a dumb whore.  The instinct among girls is to attack the jugular.”

Megan.  Despite your Mean Girls conspiracy theory, we don’t think you’re a slut because you’re attractive.  We think you’re a slut because you sound like a slut!  Try talking about something other than sex for once and maybe we’ll think something else of you.  And actually, I don’t really think she’s a slut.  I think she is just someone who can’t keep her mouth shut, but doesn’t have a whole lot to say.  Bad combination!

With a new movie out (Couples Retreat) and another one about to open (Astro Boy), it might look like Gossip Girl‘s  Kristen Bell gets all kind of work these days.  But that doesn’t happen all by itself!  Kristen knows not to rest on her laurels.  She says:

“After every job, I have ‘I’m never going to work again’ syndrome. It’s just a fact of loving what you’re doing and always wanting more. The one thing I learned from my father is how to be extremely proactive. So when a series gets canceled or a movie wraps, I get on the phone. I’m not an idiot. I’ve got a mortgage to pay. It’s just a matter of making smart decisions, as an actress and a businesswoman. There are a thousand girls out there that have great acting chops and are pretty and personable and I could easily fall out of the loop. Someone else could take my place. I want to ride this wave while I have it.”

Good for her!  Just because you’re famous doesn’t mean you can get cocky.  Keep up the hard work, Kristen!

Has Mya been smoking something?  She recently told an interviewer about her desire to live in… outer space?

“I do want to go to space. That’s the ultimate dream for me,  If someone told me that I would [go into space and] never come back, and if I didn’t have a family, I would definitely go and spend my last days in outer space.”

A little weird, right?  But then she goes on:

“Escaping into another planet or another world or another way of life . . . keeps me centered and balanced.”

Wait, that sounds like she’s already GONE to another planet, doesn’t it?  Do they have Dancing With The Stars in space?

Aaron Eckhart might be a big movie star now, but it wasn’t always that way.  He spilled to Outside magazine about one of his first cars.

“I OWNED a 1972 Plymouth Valiant that we bought for $125. It was infested with cockroaches and geckos. It was its own little ecosystem.”

Who among us didn’t ever have a car like that?  Well, I don’t know about the geckos, but certainly most of us have driven a beater at some point in our lives.  I’m sure Aaron is glad he doesn’t anymore, though.   By the way, you can catch him this fall in Love Happens with Jennifer Aniston.

Stacy Ferguson aka Fergie wanted to evolve professionally and personally so she completely changed her appearance when she dyed her hair brown. The 34 year-old singer is also more careful with her outfits and watches what she says on stage. Fergie believes she has a more mature look and attitude.

Fergie said: “Suddenly, seeing little girls in the audience with their mothers made me think about what I do on stage a bit more. I had to watch my mouth, because it can be filthy. It changed things for me.”

Fergie is now a married woman and is slowly preparing for motherhood. She confessed her husband, actor Josh Duhamel, is the biggest reason for her transformation and her desire to be more responsible. I guess Fergie is just finally getting older…

Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl, a proud woman in her thirties, admits she has gained confidence over the years and now she is too confident. The actress realized it after she saw paparazzi shots of herself… she just didn’t look as fabulous as she felt.

Katherine said: “I always assume I look better than I actually do. I’ll feel pretty good about myself when I leave the house, then I’ll see a picture and think, ‘C**p, I had no idea that’s what I was looking like.’ “

Katherine is not only confident about her image but also as a woman with opinions who is not afraid to express them. She is thirty years old and actually sounds mature and down to earth.

Katherine adds: “I’m not out burning bras, but I’m very opinionated about women owning their power. I look back at my twenties and see that I was much less confident. You repress how you really feel because society tells us what women think isn’t valid, that we’re frivolous and shallow.”

Girl power! Women power!! You don’t need to burn your bras to be yourself. Confidence can be sexy!

Actor Robert Pattinson has been accused of being rude and not paying attention to legions of fans that have been following his every move while filming new movie “Remember Me” in New York City.

Robert said, “I feel guilty because when you have hundreds of people looking to you, you have to live up to expectations. You see all these people that surround you and you think that one way or another you have to please them.”

I think it’s fair to say it would be impossible for Robert to make every single one of his fans happy. We can’t forget he is doing his job. He is an actor. He has a performance to deliver and he can’t be constantly worrying if an autograph or a smile isn’t enough for some crazy fan!

Former Spice Girl Mel B aka Melanie Brown shows off her rocking hot body in a see-through ensemble and bikini at the wrap up party for her role in “Peepshow” held at TABU Ultra Lounge at MGM Grand Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday (June 20).

The singer recently revealed the secret to keep in shape: her fitness DVD and lots and lots of good sexercise with her husband Stephen Belafonte! Melanie said, “I have sex with him five times a day.
