Michael Lohan Tries To Claim Credit For Octomom Rehab

Michael LohanNadya Suleman

Michael Lohan thinks he’s on a mission to save the world… or at least he wants credit for doing so.  He’s trying to claim responsibility for Nadya Suleman‘s recent decision to enter rehab.

Lohan told TMZ that he believes he’s “a big part of the reason” why Suleman checked into rehab.  “The most important thing is the willingness to realize and surrender to the issue and commit to getting help, which Nadya did,” he said.

In fact, he claims that getting her into treatment was a team effort between him and Octomom’s manager, Gina Rodriguez.

Rodriguez, however, says it’s not true.  She says the only thing Lohan did was give her the number of a rehab facility, and that getting her client into rehab was quite uncomplicated.

“Nadya wanted to check herself into treatment and came to me for help, and I got  her in.”

Look, Michael Lohan just wants to be responsible for SOMEONE going to rehab!  Since he can’t get his own daughter to go, he’s just got to be someone’s savior!  Why not Octomom?  Maybe he got Billie Joe Armstrong to go to rehab too?  Or whomever goes to rehab next?

Nadya Suleman Goes To Rehab For Prescription Drug Addiction

 Nadya Suleman

Octomom Nadya Suleman is the tabloid gift that just keeps on giving.  Just when she was feeling financially secure, thanks to her porn flick, she’s headed to rehab to address her addiction to the prescription drug Xanax.

TMZ reported this morning that Suleman checked herself into Chapman House Drug Rehabilitation Center in Southern California. Her rep explained:

“Nadya wanted to get off the Xanax she was prescribed by her doctor and learn to deal with her stress, exhaustion and anxiety with professional help with a team of doctors. Nadya wanted to deal with her issues and make sure she is the best mother she can be.”

Speaking of being a mother… TMZ also reports that Suleman has left her 14 children with a team of three nannies, two friends and a driver who transports them to and from school.    She’ll be at Chapman for 30 days.

Suleman became famous in January 2009 when she gave birth to octuplets conceived through fertility treatment.  They were the second full set of octuplets to be born alive in the United States.  The eight children joined her six older children, who were also conceived through in vitro fertilization.  Her fertility doctor, Michael Kamrava, lost his medical license in 2011.

She was recently accused by her former nannies of child abuse and neglect; however, two weeks ago, the Orange County District Attorney’s office said they would not be pressing charges.

‘Jersey Shore’ Cast Member Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino Checks Into Rehab… Or Something

As if it’s a surprise…

Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino has checked himself into “rehab” just as the sixth season of Jersey Shore, the hit MTV show was announced.

Sorrentino’s reps would not confirm reports that he entered for substance abuse issues or that he’s receiving treatment for anything, but said he has been at a facility for a few weeks.

“Michael Sorrentino has spent the past several weeks at an undisclosed location for much needed rest and recuperation after his extensive production and appearance schedule,” his rep told TMZ.

Ah, the old exhaustion reason. Essentially he’s taking a long nap, someplace, somewhere… Uh huh.

A grinding schedule of GTL, drinking and nightclub and promotional appearances can really take a toll on a person…

Demi Moore Checks Out Of Rehab

Demi Moore has been in rehab on a little break at Cirque Lodge following her little episode in January, but it’s time for her to rejoin the real world.  Radar Online reports that she’s checked out of rehab, where she was being treated for an eating disorder and addiction to Adderall.

Don’t expect to see her around Hollywood any time soon, though.  She’s continuing her rest and relaxation while on vacation “in an undisclosed location.”    Hopefully she’s taking it easy and continuing to get well.

‘Real Housewives’ Kim Richards Checks Into Rehab

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards has checked into rehab for alcohol abuse and “other problems” according to reports.

The 47 year-old reality show participant is at an undisclosed treatment facility working on her issues and it’s been revealed, this isn’t the first time she’s sought help.

“Kim has been to rehab more than once before,” a source tells People magazine, “but every time is a new time, and everyone just hopes this sticks and that she gets the help she needs. It’s serious.”

Adding to her problems, Kim may be homeless. Richards is no longer living with her boyfriend Ken, whom Kim was recently seen moving in with on the BRAVO show. She was staying with various friends before entering the rehab facility.

Richards erratic behavior was called out by her sister, Kyle Richards, on the finale of season 1 of the show.

After fighting with Kyle during a party, the two continued their argument in the back of a limo where Kyle screamed at Kim:

“You’re an alcoholic! Yeah, that’s right. I’ve said it and now everybody knows!”

This season, when Kim was slurring her words and appeared intoxicated during a trip with fellow housewife Adrienne Maloof and her husband Paul Nassif, she later confessed to taking multiple anti-anxiety and anti-seizure medications. Nassif cautioned Richards that the combination could be why it looked like she was drunk.

Matthew Perry Takes His Sobriety Seriously And Enters Rehab Again

Entering a treatment facility for a third time, Matthew Perry is taking a precautionary step to keep his addictions in check.

The Mr. Sunshine star, 41, has chosen to enter rehab for ongoing recovery in his battle with prescription pills and alcohol substance abuse.

“There was no relapse,” a source told People magazine. Perry is just continuing his personal journey that began with rehab stints in 1997 and 2001.

“I’m making plans to go away for a month to focus on my sobriety and to continue my life in recovery,” he says. “Please enjoy making fun of me on the World Wide Web.”

Perhaps he’s feeling a little wobbly or has stressors in his life that he fears will trigger a relapse; whatever the case, addressing his sobriety and taking his continued recovery seriously is something to be applauded.

Whitney Houston Takes Another Crack At Rehab

Hahahah, get it?  Whitney Houston?  Crack?   Well, it appears that Whitney’s big  “I’m clean and sober” comeback in 2009 didn’t take too well.  Her rep, Jill Fritzo, confirmed today that the singer has entered a voluntary out-patient rehab program.  She said:

“We can confirm that Whitney Houston is currently in an out-patient rehab program for drug and alcohol treatment.  Whitney voluntarily entered the program to support her long-standing recovery process.”

In this out-patient program, Whitney will be able to do her normal day to day stuff but will be followed around by a sobriety coach.

I’m guessing Whit is doing this because she slipped up.  Her last stint in rehab was in 2004.   One day at a time, Whitney… one day at at time.
