Demi Moore is filing for divorce from her husband of six years, Ashton Kutcher.

The 49 year-old actress released a statement:

“As a woman, a mother and a wife, there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life,” she said.

After news broke of Kutcher’s alleged affair with 23 year-old coed Sara Leal, Moore and Kutcher have spent time working on their marriage, including a camping trip with a Kabbalah instructor and time at Demi’s ex-husband Bruce Willis‘ vacation home in the Turks and Caicos.

“I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi. Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail,” Kutcher tweeted.

Producer Brett Ratner has resigned as producer of the upcoming Oscars show after coming under fire for using an anti-gay slur in a comment he made over the weekend.

At a screening of his new film Tower Heist, Ratner was taking part in a Q & A session when he was asked about the schedule lead-up for Academy Awards telecast and told the audience “rehearsal is for f**s.”

The 42 year-old issued a public apology:

“Over the last few days, I’ve gotten a well-deserved earful from many of the people I admire most in this industry expressing their outrage and disappointment over the hurtful and stupid things I said in a number of recent media appearances,” Ratner’s letter to the Entertainment Industry said. “To them, and to everyone I’ve hurt and offended, I’d like to apologize publicly and unreservedly.”

He continued: “As difficult as the last few days have been for me, they cannot compare to the experience of any young man or woman who has been the target of offensive slurs or derogatory comments…. So many artists and craftspeople in our business are members of the LGBT community, and it pains me deeply that I may have hurt them. I should have known this all along, but at least I know it now: words do matter. Having love in your heart doesn’t count for much if what comes out of your mouth is ugly and bigoted. With this in mind, and to all those who understandably feel that apologies are not enough, please know that I will be taking real action over the coming weeks and months in an effort to do everything I can both professionally and personally to help stamp out the kind of thoughtless bigotry I’ve so foolishly perpetuated.”

Academy President Tom Sherark accepted his resignation saying Ratner “did the right thing,” but now the February 2012 program has lost another key talent as well.

Eddie Murphy – the star of Tower Heist – has decided that he will no longer host the show in the wake of the Ratner debacle.

“First and foremost I want to say that I completely understand and support each party’s decision with regard to a change of producers for this year’s Academy Awards ceremony,” Murphy’s statement began.

“I was truly looking forward to being a part of the show that our production team and writers were just starting to develop, but I’m sure that the new production team and host will do an equally great job.”

With Murphy and Ratner out, the Academy has to start at the beginning and replace both quickly.

Scarlett Johansson looks radiant on the December cover of Vanity Fair.

The 26 year-old revealed some info about those infamous hacked nude photos of herself.

“I know my best angles,” she told the magazine.

“They were sent to my husband,” now ex Ryan Reynolds. “There’s nothing wrong with that. It’s not like I was shooting a porno.” She adds saucily, “Although there’s nothing wrong with that either.”

Johansson also talks about the time after her divorce from Reynolds and how ill-at-ease she was.

“I didn’t really know what to do with myself. It was such a strange time. There was nothing that was interesting to me. I had a very public separation. It was difficult. I felt very uncomfortable.”

She also shares that she and director Woody Allen love working with each other, using Purell hand sanitizer and self-diagnosis.

“He shakes a lot of hands,” Johansson explains. “I’ll squirt some [Purell] in my hand and then squirt in his.”

She also has a bizarre penchant for diagnosing him. “The only reason why Woody and I are still friends is because I’ve diagnosed all kinds of his skin tags, lesions, ailments. I’ve prescribed things for Woody that he’s then asked his doctor to prescribe for him.”

Robert Downey Jr. was honored at the 25th Cinematheque Award gala in Beverly Hills over the weekend and the star took time out to give a tribute to his friend, actor Mel Gibson.

Downey Jr., who came to the ceremony with his wife Susan, was able to choose who he wanted to present the award and he opted for Mel, the man who insured him back in 2003 when, after his own very public addiction issues and arrests, wasn’t able to work in the industry he loved.

The Iron Man actor made it clear he feels the time has come for Hollywood to forgive Gibson for his anti-Semitic rants and spousal abuse and to let him get on with his career.

““I asked Mel to present this award for me for a reason,” Downey said during his acceptance speech. “When I couldn’t get sober, he told me not to give up hope and encouraged me to find my faith. It didn’t have to be his or anyone else’s as long as it was rooted in forgiveness. And I couldn’t get hired, so he cast me in the lead of a movie that was actually developed for him. He kept a roof over my head and food on the table and most importantly he said if I accepted responsibility for my wrongdoing and embraced that part of my soul that was ugly – hugging the cactus he calls it — he said that if I hugged the cactus long enough, I’d become a man.”

Downey Jr. went on to say that Hollywood shouldn’t throw stones and offer Gibson a “clean slate.”

Demi Moore attended the New York premiere of Margin Call at the Landmark Sunshine Theater on Monday night and while the actress was wearing her wedding ring, she appeared gaunt and worryingly thin on the red carpet.

Moore, 48, wore a red leopard print dress from Zac Posen. She wore black velvet with silver studs Brian Atwood pumps and a clutch to complete her look.

Amid the speculation of her marriage troubles to Two and A Half Men star Ashton Kutcher, the actress’ looks to have lost a dramatic amount of weight. Kutcher is alleged to have cheated on Moore with a 22 year-old coed Sara Leal.

The two recently went on a camping trip with a Kabbalah instructor in an attempt to patch up the damage Kutcher is alleged to have done.

Whatever the drama, it appears to have taken it’s toll on Moore in a drastic and unhealthy way.

Mitchel Musso, Miley Cyrus‘ former costar in the super successful show Hannah Montana has been popped for DUI in Burbank, California.

The actor, who is 20 years-old and under the legal drinking age, was stopped on October 16th after he was directed to slow down by an officer on the scene of an accident.

“He drove through the intersection and failed to do what the officer instructed him to do,” Burbank Sgt. Sean Kelley said.

Musso was then pulled over where police say they noticed a “strong odor of alcohol” and he failed the field sobriety test. He also blew well over the legal limit .08 in a breathalyzer test that was administered, according to TMZ.

The actor and singer was booked on the DUI charge and then released for $5,000 in bail. No word on if he will be charged for underage drinking.

Musso stars in two current Disney shows, Prank Stars and Pair of Kings. He also voices a character on Phineas and Ferb.

Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore are reportedly trying to patch up their marriage after cheating allegations with a camping trip over the weekend.

The 33 year-old Two and A Half Men star went with Moore to Cachuma Lake, a campsite in Santa Barbara, with Kabbalah instructor Yehuda Berg and Kutcher’s friend Eric Buterbaugh.

Kutcher is trying to make amends to Moore, 48, and has apologized to Demi on Yom Kippur – the Jewish holy day of atonement, according to reports.

The couple have been laying low since the story of Kutcher’s alleged tryst with Sara Leal on the date of his anniversary to Moore broke.

Insiders say the relationship is over but the two appear to be trying to salvage their marriage with the trip.

David Boreanaz has broken his silence and is speaking out about his affair with Rachel Uchitel and it’s effects on his marriage to former Playboy Playmate Jamie Bergman.

The scandal broke in the spring of 2010 when it was revealed that Boreanaz, 42, had been unfaithful to Bergman, his wife of 10 years, with Uchitel, Tiger Woods #1 mistress, after photos and text messages of the two emerged.

Boreanaz now says that it was “a bonding experience, in the long run.”

“In a sacred ground like marriage, you find yourself out of it at certain times for reasons unknown that can be destructive,” he told TV Week via US Weekly. “There could be a demon that kind of comes out and overtakes you.”

Boreanaz says he doesn’t believe in giving up “I’m a fighter. I’m a lover,” he shared.

The actor has had to fight a lot to save his marriage (and his public reputation.) He was hit with a sexual harassment lawsuit from Kristina Hagan, an actress who appeared on the hit FOX show Bones, where she claimed he inappropriately texted her and made unwanted advances.

Boreanaz and Bergman have two children, Jaden, 9, and Bella, 2.

Uchitel has gone on to marry businessman Matt Hahn.

Scarlett Johansson is another celebrity who became a target of hackers and had nude photos she had taken of herself leaked to the media but this actress did a couple of things differently.

Johansson, 26, owned up to the authenticity of the pics and she went to the FBI for help – both things most actresses have been unwilling to do.

The Avengers star is just standing up for her right to privacy, she tells CNN.

“Just because you’re in the spotlight, or just because you’re an actor or make films or whatever doesn’t mean you’re not entitled to your own personal privacy. If that is sieged in some way, it feels unjust. It feels wrong.”

Johansson goes on to say there has to be some give and take with what you allow as a celebrity to be public and what you don’t.

“It’s an adjustment, but there are certain instances where you give a lot of yourself and then finally you just have to kind of put your foot down and say, ‘No, wait, I’m taking it back,’” she said.

Bravo reality TV star Patti Stanger took on gays, Jews and smart women in one sitting Sunday night.

The Millionaire Matchmaker appeared with Andy Cohen on his chat show Watch What Happens Live! and decided to categorize gay men as slutty, Jewish men as dishonest and gave single smart women the dating advice of pretending to be dumb to land a guy.

The exchange between Stanger and openly gay host Cohen:

“In the gay world, it will always be open. … There is no curbing the gay man,”  Patti told Andy. “I have tried to curb ‘you people.’”

Cohen replied, “I am a gay and am down for the monogamy.”

“When was the last time you had a boyfriend?” Stanger laughed.

She was blunt in her assessment of another group, categorizing all male Jews by saying “Jewish men lie.”

Cohen, also Jewish, looked annoyed.

And Stanger was not finished there. She went on to tell women that men cannot handle it if they are smart, but somehow guys find a magical acceptance of their brains after they marry.

“They don’t like them before they are married,” she told the hosts of New York Live. “You’ve got to dumb it down a little because men are not that bright.”

The 54 year-old third generation matchmaker sorta apologized on twitter, but only to gay men who live outside Los Angeles.

“…It’s true LA gays toughest nuts to crack to monogamy!” she tweeted.

“Attn male Gays: I support you & my comment on WWHL was to a LA guy who can’t find commitment.”

“So sorry – didn’t mean to offend anyone. Love you all. Xo”
