It was a whirlwind romance that culminated in a walk down the aisle yesterday:  actress Carey Mulligan married Mumford & Sons frontman Marcus Mumford in England.

The couple, who have been engaged just a year and together not much longer than that, were wed in the barn at Stream Farm in Somerset.  Mumford’s father, who is a vicar, conducted the ceremony.

The rural location didn’t stop celebrities from attending:  among the 200 guests were (reportedly) Sienna Miller, Jake Gyllenhaal and Colin Firth.

Ah, wedded bliss…

Ricki Lake is officially a glowing bride after she and fiance Christian Evans surprised everyone by eloping over the weekend after the couple married in a hush-hush ceremony in Southern California on Sunday, April 8th.

“It was a beautiful moment I will never forget,” Lake tells PEOPLE of her big day. “I wasn’t anxious or nervous. I was really relaxed and excited.”

The talk show posted a pic to twitter of herself in her wedding dress, holding a beautiful flower bouquet.

“Yup. This is me…. Sadie Sadie married lady. Love is in the air. Xo.’’ she said.

The 43 year-old former contestant on Dancing With The Stars who was divorced in 2003, didn’t think she’d take another walk down the aisle but meeting Evans, 40, in 2010 has changed her tune.

“I can’t wait to marry my guy,” she has said of Evans. “He’s such a beautiful, selfless, amazing, strong person. I’ve waited 43 years for him to come along.’’

Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied may have secretly tied the knot as the two were wearing what appeared to be wedding bands on their ring fingers at the 84th Annual Academy Awards on Sunday.

Jamie Wolf, a jeweler and friend of professional ballet dancer Millepied, released a statement that she designed the couple’s rings but does not state that they are in fact, wedding rings.

“We did make the rings [they're] wearing, but we do not know the significance behind them,” the rep who works exclusively with Wolf said to RumorFix.

“All the articles online are blown up. There is no truth behind the confirmation. [Natalie Portman] never mentioned anything, we know nothing of the sort, she absolutely never mentioned what the significance of the rings are.”

But People (among other online outlets) have said Wolf released a statement and is using the term “wedding rings,” – attributing that phrase to the designer, although not quoting an entire sentence from the designer using that term.

What we do get is how the rings are made of recycled platinum and certified conflict-free diamonds, which speak to the social-conscience of vegan Portman.

“We wanted everything about the ring to speak to things that are important to Natalie,” Wolf told the magazine.

But E!Online seems to have cleared up how the assumption came about.

“I designed the rings worn by Benjamin Millepied and Natalie Portman,” she told E! News. “The style of the rings by definition are wedding rings. However, we cannot confirm a marriage between Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied.

“I can neither confirm nor deny the marriage of Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied, as that is not information I am privy to. I designed rings for the couple and cannot attatch meaning to those items.”

E! also reveals no marriage license for the couple has been found as of yet.

Reps for Portman are not commenting.

Portman, 30, and Millepied, 34, met on the film set of Black Swan. Natalie went on to win the Best Actress Oscar at the 2011 ceremony.

The couple announced their engagement in December of 2010 and she delivered their first child; a son, Aleph, in June of 2011.

Lady Antebellum singer Hillary Scott was married over the weekend to Chris Tyrrell.

The 25 year-old country music star tied the knot in Upstate New York in a ceremony attended by close friends and family on Saturday, January 7th.

“The bride wore a custom Vera Wang strapless mermaid dress with abstract all-over lace underlay, layered tulle skirt with horsehair banding and hand-cut corded lace appliqué with hand-applied crystal and pearl beading,” according to a post to the band’s official website.

“She complemented the gown with a mantilla veil with hand-cut chantilly lace appliqué. The groom donned a gray Ermenegildo Zegna suit.

Along with the announcement, a video of the happy couple sharing their good news with fans is online.

“We got married!” Scott says in the vid, beaming. “We just wanted you to hear it from us first. We love you. We’re so excited to be starting our life together and we just had to let you in on the exciting news.”

Her bandmates, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood were unable to be at the nuptials.

That didn’t take long!  In August, singer Sinead O’Connor wrote in the Irish Independent that she was in “desperate need of a very sweet, sex-starved man.”  Evidently she found what she was looking for, because she’s getting married today, on her 45th birthday.

She posted the news on her website:

With enormous joy myself and my beloved boyfriend Barry Herridge will be getting married tomorrow, December 8th 2011 at ‘an un-disclosed location’ in my absolute dream wedding ceremony. We will post a photo or two here on the site as soon as possible afterward.
Very happy girl. : )

Despite the secrecy regarding the venue, the wedding is expected to take place in Las Vegas.   This will be the fourth marriage for O’Connor, who has four children.    Herridge is reportedly a substance abuse counselor.

Beyonce and Jay-Z‘s marriage was super secret and there was one big detail people wanted to know about – what was her wedding dress like? For a fashion savvy star like Bey, the dress for her April 2008 nuptials would be the epitome of fashionable wedding glory.

For her new video “I Was Here” the ultra private star gives a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it peep at the elusive gown – all white and strapless – among other quick pieces of home video footage of Beyonce’s life.

The star is shown performing for her family and in competitions when she was young, frolicking on a slip-n-slide, playing with her nephew, Destiny’s Child footage and Beyonce meeting and performing with her heros.

The clip is from the new DVD Live at Roseland: Elements of 4 which goes on sale exclusively at Walmart November 21st.

Skeptics aren’t buying the fact that Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries televised wedding and subsequent 72 day marriage wasn’t a publicity ploy and that angers Kim.

Kardashian, who filed for divorce from Humphries on Monday, tries to set the record straight for all the Doubting Thomas’ that her wedding was not a sham just for television.

“First and foremost, I married for love,” she wrote on her blog. “I can’t believe I even have to defend this. I would not have spent so much time on something just for a TV show!”

Kim further states that she did not make money off her nuptials and that all the gifts will be given to charity.

“There are also reports that I made millions of dollars off of the wedding. These reports are simply not true and it makes me so sad to have to even clarify this. I’m so grateful to everyone who took the time to come to my wedding and I’ll be donating the money for all the gifts to the Dream Foundation.”

So I guess she didn’t sell the rights to the photos of her wedding for millions or the licensing deal with E! to televise it for millions? She gave it away for free?

Kardashian chalks up the whole experience to “getting caught up with the hoopla” and says she is a “hopeless romantic.”

This is Kim’s second marriage. Her first, when she was just 19, was to record producer Damon Thomas and lasted 4 years.

Susan Sarandon has played a lot of roles, but she took on a very special one today:  mother of the bride.   Sarandon’s daughter Eva Amurri married her fiance, soccer commentator Kyle Martino, in Charleston, South Carolina.

The bride opted for a gown by designer Lela Rose.  The black-tie reception with dinner and dancing was hosted by Sarandon and her former longtime partner, Tim Robbins, who helped raise Amurri.

The third time is (hopefully) the charm for Robin Williams!

The 60 year-old comedian and actor has found love again and married graphic designer Susan Schneider on Sunday at Meadowood resort in Napa Valley, California.

Williams and Schneider have been dating since 2009, just before the Oscar winning actor went in for heart surgery.

The Fisher King‘s daughter, Zelda, 22, tweeted about her dad’s nuptials.

“Just realized my tweets have probably been misconstrued. No, it’s not my wedding, haha. Thanks for the congratulations regardless. The wedding festivities rage on but my tired feet are done. Think it’s time to lay in the tub, eat m&m’s and write.”

“I’m really happy for my father, and wish him all the best,” Zelda said. “The wedding was lovely.”

Newlyweds Robin and Susan are currently in Paris, enjoying their honeymoon and smiling ear to ear.

Tara Reid‘s quickie marriage in August was apparently just a quickie.

The American Pie actress fessed up that she and Zack Kehayov were never really wed, despite her tweets stating how much she loved being a wife.

In August, Reid, 35, sent out a photo of her and Zack on the Greek island of Santorini all dressed in white at (what she said was) their wedding but when photographers caught up to her at LAX yesterday, she’s singing a different tune.

But when paparazzi caught up with the actress after her flight yesterday and asked if she and her husband could win the Newlywed Game, an exhausted looking Reid said they “were never really married” because they never legalized their union in the United States.

Reid and her reps are apparently too confused tired to clarify anything – see the video above.
