Charlize Theron is one of my all time favorites. She is SO beautiful and her acting is superb. This Dior commercial for J’adore is so super sexy. I wonder if it smells as sexy as she looks? Is that possible? You go girl!

The lovely Charlize Theron has been named the latest United Nations Messenger of Peace by Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. Her specific work will center around ending violence against women.
According to the UN’s website:
The actor has been recognized for her work focusing attention and mobilizing efforts on social issues, particularly in her native South Africa, where she has the Africa Outreach Project, which provides funding for a mobile health and computer clinic that visits high schools in rural communities affected by HIV/AIDS.
Other actors who are also UN Messengers of Peace include George Clooney and Michael Douglas.

Charlize Theron is in negotiations to star in the upcoming movie The Tourist with Tom Cruise.
In the Julian Fellowes-scripted drama, Theron will play a female Interpol agent who uses an American tourist in an attempt to flush out an elusive criminal with whom she once had an affair.
Charlize is a fantastic actor, I’m interested in anything she does.

It’s not common for celebrities to be so open about what they like and don’t like. But Charlize Theron was very passionate about showing her hatred for MTV’s reality show “The Hills”.
MTV: Charlize, you and I have discussed “The Hills” a couple times.
Theron: Yes, you belittled me on television. They were like, “Who’s the f—ing nana on the TV show who’s never seen ‘The Hills’?!?”
MTV: I never called you a nana.
Theron: Well, the kids now think I’m a nana, thanks to you.
MTV: You have said that you are now up on “The Hills,” so I have a question: Do you think Lo is treating Audrina fairly?
Theron: [Long pause, laughs.] So I watched a couple episodes. I was doing a world tour at the time, so I watched them in a couple languages. I realized that this f—ing show is huge. Now I’m going to ask you a question: Why?
MTV: Why what?
Theron: Why is it so big? It’s about nothing! This is a free country. Freedom of speech! You can tell me right now to my face that “Reindeer Games” was a piece of sh–. That’s totally fine. But “The Hills” is about nothing. I think the girls are beautiful and when they cry their mascara runs and that’s real, but I don’t get it! [Pause.] I am a nana. I’ll just take it. I am a nana. Maybe I need to watch the shows some more.
Charlize, don’t gets us started on how so many of your movies were complete crap (cough* Æon Flux *cough), only not totally worthless cause you look so hot in them! Freedom of speech!!!

Charlize Theron is at the Venice Film Festival for her movie, The Burning Plain. And something good finally happened to her. She got the marriage proposal she was waiting for….too bad it was from someone in the press!
“I would like to ask you something Charlize Theron,” the reporter began. “First of all, I really like you so much and have a lot of respect for you but I would like to marry you — and I have a question: which side [of the bed] do you prefer to sleep [on]?”
[Charlize answered], “The side that you are not on.”
The reporter was rebuffed. “Oh, then I think it doesn’t work,” he said.
“Security! Security! Security!” Theron joked. “The man with the red… you are very cute, but you know my boyfriend will kill you.”
“Yeah, I am married, I am taken, whatever,” she added.
May be she was a little harsh with the guy…I know if I asked my favorite celebrity that I would hope that they would at least play around a bit.

4th of July Weekend 2008!
1st - Hancock was the big money maker this holiday weekend with $66 Million. A good opening, the film actually opened on Wednesday the 2nd, since then it’s already made $107.3 Million. This is a good example of Will Smith’s box office pull. Smith is clearly loved even though the film received bad reviews from the majority of critics.
2nd – The excellent Pixar animated film Wall-E held on strong and raked in $33.4 Million.
3rd - The action packed Angelina Jolie flick Wanted was in third with $20.6 Million.
4th – Get Smart - $11.1 Mil.
5th – Kung Fu Panda - $7.5 Mil.
6th – The Incredible Hulk - $4.9 Mil.
7th – Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - $3.9 Mil.
8th – Kit Kittredge: An American Girl – $3.6 Mil.
9th – Sex and the City – $2.3 Mil.
10th – You Don’t Mess with the Zohan - $2 Mil.

Hancock, is a new film directed by Peter Berg. It stars Will Smith, Charlize Theron, and Jason Bateman. We meet Hancock (Smith), a “superhero” that is scorned by the public for his sloppy drunken “heroism”. After wreaking havoc in one situation after another Hancock crosses the path of Ray (Bateman); a people oriented Pubic Relations guy who decides he wants to help the super-slob to clean up his image. Ray’s wife Mary (Theron), much like the news media and the public, would much rather see Hancock behind bars. This sparks the reformation of Hancock as Ray suggests he go to prison to show that he’s turning over a new leaf. This is where the story really gets crazy.
