It was super hot model mania at the 2011 CFDA Fashion Awards with both Miranda Kerr and Alessandra Ambrosio making waves at Alice Tully Hall in New York City.

Miranda flaunted her awesome post-baby body with a thigh high slit and side cutouts in her dress from Michael Kors.

Alessanda looked gorgeous in her red deep v neck gown from Prabal Gurung.

Total fashion devotee and downtown cool gal Chloe Sevigny also popped up at the event and wore a dress from her new line Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony. The white eyelet skirt with black leather top and ruffled sleeves was a true Chloe original.

Always fashionably downtown with a hipster vibe, Chloe Sevigny headed to the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival Chanel Artists Dinner at the Odeon restaurant in a look that was very Chloe.

Sevigny mixes the lacy, frilly white tunic dress with chunky black shoe boots and purse. The Big Love actress dress was not from Chanel as she just returned from overseas.

“I’m not wearing Chanel. I just got back from China and I went home to see my mom for Easter, so I didn’t have time to go in and pull anything,” says Sevigny. “But I am wearing a Chanel bag and lipstick.”

I have such a complicated relationship with Chloe Sevigny.  I am both fascinated and nearly repulsed by her at the same time.  Harsh, huh?   Hey, what’s celebrity gossip without the snark?

However, I’ve got nothing but good to say about her photoshoot by Cedric Buchet in the March 2011 issue of Harper’s Bazaar.   Chloe looks incredible!  I love the way she was styled, especially the rich colors.  Seriously, I am not sure I’ve ever seen her look better than this.

On being a little insecure about her looks: “I wish I looked more like my mother, but I think I look like my father.  I wish I had one of those naturally beautiful faces. Or a more quirky face. I’m right down the middle: not interesting enough, not pretty enough.  Know what I get the most? People say, ‘You’re so much prettier in person.’ I’m like, ‘Thank you?’”

On her runaway hit collection for Opening Ceremony: “I’m not trying to compete with high fashion.  I’m doing streetwear. Everyone is trying to be so hip. I like that my dresses are a little dorky. I think it’s refreshing now to not try and be so cool.”

On winning a Golden Globe last year: “I hate to admit it, but it was one of the biggest confidence boosters I’ve ever had. I felt really powerful. I know it’s nothing, just a stupid statue, but I felt like ‘Good for me!’”

Chloe Sevigny is trying to set the record straight.

The Big Love star had been paired with Jersey Shore star Pauly D as her new boyfriend after they were photographed sitting next to each other at a Knicks game. When she sat down with Interview magazine, the actress was asked about the dating rumor and said:

“No, but I wish, because that would be hilarious. That would be the weirdest couple in the world. It would be like the apocalypse.”

Sevigny thinks that they are so opposite it would be a very bizarre experience but if it came down to it, the DJ would be her choice:

“I think it’s because we’re both kind of extreme. We represent extremes, in opposite directions. So for us two to come together, it would be a very strange meeting of the minds or colliding of two worlds. I haven’t watched that many episodes, but of the ones I have… if I were to pick one of the dudes on the show, I’d definitely pick him.”

Sevigny is back at work on the HBO series Big Love, filming the final season and is also the February cover of Japan’s Ginza magazine (above.)

Chloe Sevigny might be the hands-down queen of fashion disasters, but she doesn’t look bad at all in a bikini.   Chloe soaked up the sun and played in the water in Miami Beach, Florida over the weekend.  Nice way to celebrate the new year!

Chloe Sevigny stepped out with her Big Love castmates-slash-sister-wives Jeanne Tripplehorn and Ginnifer Goodwin for the GLSEN Respect Awards.  GLSEN is the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network and they were presenting an award to Modern Family for its positive depiction of a family headed by a same sex couple.

So let’s see what we have here.  Chloe looks like she made her dress out of a nun’s habit.  Jeanne looks like she’s trying to be Amish.  Ginnifer looks cute as hell, but then again, when doesn’t she?  Questionable (and awesome) fashion choices aside though, yay to these three for showing their support!

And no!  I’m not even being sarcastic or anything.  I actually mean it!  Chloe Sevigny looked great on the red carpet at the Metropolitan Opera’s premiere of Armida, sponsored by Yves Saint Laurent.

Color me confused.  Chloe looks classy and tasteful.  Everything that should be covered is covered.  Her accessories are minimal but interesting.  Even her makeup is appropriate.  In fact, I think I quite like the sleeveless jumpsuit and gloves look.

Is this really Chloe or her more fashionable, less crazy twin?

Chloe Sevigny hit the U.S. launch of the Blackberry Tour at the Thompson Hotel in New York earlier this week, and I’m surprised to say that she looks… pretty good.  Relatively.  I mean this IS Chloe Sevigny we’re talking about here.  But seriously, her outfit is OK.  Her dress is cute, her shoes are fun, and her purse actually matches.   Now, if I were Chloe I’d pick a silhouette that balanced those broad shoulders a bit better.  And that color doesn’t do a whole lot for her, but hey.  Girl managed to leave the house in clothes that aren’t frightening, and that’s big progress.

I hope she doesn’t keep it up though, because then whose clothes would I make fun of?

Tilda Swinton‘s fashion sense can, I think, fairly be characterized as quirky.  Very unusual.  She’s not quirky-creepy like, say, Chloe Sevigny.  And she’s certainly not as quirky-weird-slutty as Bai Ling.  And Tilda is absolutely not bat poo-insane cat lady-quirky like Sharon Stone.  No, she’s got a vibe all her own.

Which sometimes manifests itself in garments like this dress she wore to the Cesar Film Awards at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, France.   It’s like a watercolor painting and an Indian sari fused onto a muu-muu.  It’s hideous and fascinating at the same time.  Or maybe it’s not, but I just can’t stop looking at it.
