Christina Aguilera and her co-stars from The Voice turned out for a quick press junket on Friday at Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles.  Season 2 begins in February and the singer admitted she is excited about the show’s return.

“I had to come back and do a second [season]. How could I not?  This is the most exciting show – ever! The suspense value? It’s intense… I think I get more nervous…than the actual artists and vocalists that come up here to audition.”

Based on viewer feedback, the show’s producers have added more contestants to the mix, and Aguilera says that this just increases the excitement and fun.  “We know the game now. It’s an intense competition this year… we’re extra critical and we’re all looking for something so unique and so different.”

The Voice Season 2 premieres on NBC on Sunday, February 5, right after the Super Bowl.

Christina Aguilera and her boyfriend Matt Rutler took her son Max to a pumpkin patch Friday afternoon.

The “Moves Like Jagger” singer kept her wardrobe appropriate for the afternoon – black leggings, checked flannel shirt with skull-and-crossbones t-shirt and brown suede boots.

Max and Christina had on porkpie hats and Matt wore a backwards cap for the sunny outing at Mr. Bones in West Hollywood.

The 30 year-old singer and her boyfriend took Matt to the petting zoo next door and he had a fun time going down the inflatable slide, playing on hay bales and walking around the Halloween-themed decoration.

The group ended up purchasing a few pumpkins and gourds to take home.

Christina Aguilera and her naked bum grace the cover of W‘s July 2011 issue.  She’s got a bouquet of roses and a flimsy scarf covering her front bits.  A whoooole lot of crimped hair completes her cover look.   One part Lady Godiva, one part… hmmmm, Stevie Nicks?   You’ll have to ask stylist Giovanna Battaglia to be sure.

Christina gets honest (and pehaps a little defensive) in her interview.

On her divorce from Jordan Bratman: “It got to a point where our life at home was reminding me of my own childhood. I will not have my son grow up in a tension-filled home. I knew there would be a negative reaction in the press to my divorce, but I am not going to live my life because of something someone might say. That goes against everything I sing on my records. I have to be myself.”

On her recent DUI arrest: “The police knew my recent history and wanted to jump on the bandwagon. I don’t mean to martyr myself, but I think I was a victim of celebrity. I don’t drive, I wasn’t driving, and I committed no crimes, but they put me in jail. They called me a ‘political hot potato.’ They said, ‘What are we going to do with this woman?’ I think they were bored that night.”

On her intention to persist in the music industry: “I would never go down without a fight.  I still have my eyes on the prize: I want to be that old lady onstage shaking her hips and singing her greatest hits.”

The competition on The Voice isn’t just between the singers.

Miranda Lambert got a twitter backlashing from Christina Aguilera fans when she responded to a tweet from the “Beautiful” singer.

Aguilera took a poke at her fellow mentors on the show, Adam Levine and Lambert’s hubby, Blake Shelton. After the two had their turn at the mic this week, the 30 year-old star tweeted:

“Was Blake just about to make out w/Adam as he sang that song into his eyes?”

“That was some strange bro-mance s**t! What’s been happening behind the cameras??hmmmmm.”

Lambert responded with a dig of her own, setting off fans.

“@TheRealXtina wow. Calling all males: Please relieve christina from her obvious Frustration before things get….ugly. Team Blake rocks: )” she said on twitter.

“The House That Built Me” singer responded and agreed with a fan who said “It’s cool that Blake treats his team like HIS TEAM and not his background singers. So talented!”

Within minutes of those tweets, Aguilera’s fans were all over Miranda but she was in a fiesty mood.

“jealous bc ur husband said that Christina is THE BEST SINGER HE EVER HEARD? dont be girl,” u should hear what else he said..” (Lambert added the end part.)

In the end the twitter onslaught seems to have been a bit much for the 27 year-old country crooner who tried to back away from her comments.

“Whoa peeps calm it. No one said anything mean about your girl xtina. Just cheering for my hubby:) every competion needs a good cheerleader: )”

Christina hasn’t responded to the jabs, but what do you think? Purposefully mean or an unintentional swipe?

Christina Aguilera attended the NBC upfront presentation this week to promote her new show, The Voice.  The show is based on a Dutch singing competition show similar to X Factor or American Idol.  Christina is one of the judges and vocal coaches, along with Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine of Maroon 5, and country singer Blake Shelton.

The show has only been on the air since last month but it’s already a hit – NBC has picked it up for a second season.

Xtina is still looking a bit worn out.  Makes you wonder if she’s still overdoing it with the drinking.  More photos of Christina follow.

Christina Aguilera and her boyfriend, Matthew Rutler found themselves on the wrong side of the law Tuesday morning in West Hollywood.

Rutler and Aguilera were driving when L.A. County Sheriff Deptartment deputies pulled over a car being driven erratically by Rutler.

The boyfriend of Aguilera was arrested for driving under the influence and Aguilera was booked on public intoxication.

The singer was taken into custody because she was so far gone “she was unable to take care of herself, ” according to TMZ.

His bail was $30,000.00 and hers was $250.00.

The Burlesque actress’ friends have reportedly been urging her to seek treatment in rehab.

Christina Aguilera gave a soulful rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner” this afternoon at Super Bowl XLV in Dallas but the songstress fumbled a line in the National Anthem.

The Burlesque singer should have sung “O’er the ramparts we watch’d, were so gallantly streaming,” but instead she jumbled and substituted a line from earlier in the song and gave us “What so proudly we watched at the twilight’s last gleaming.”

The song is notoriously difficult and the notes are very challenging to any artist, let alone singing it live in front of millions of viewers. Aguilera told the Associated Press

“I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of its anthem still came through.”

I say, give her a break. She sang the song beautifully and carried on like a professional after the misstep.

Burlesque stars Cher and Chrisitna Aguilera took part in a photo call at the CineStar Potsdamer Platzmovie theater in Berlin, Germany last week. The overseas duties also brought out Cam Gigandet and Kristen Bell to help with promotion for the film that is under performing here in the States.

Fashion standouts: Aguilera wore an Alberta Ferretti pink chiffon halter dress and Bell wore Brian Reyes abstract print dress for the session.

It seems you really aren’t anybody in Hollywood without a leaked/stolen/nude/sexy photo scandal and the latest female star to succumb to this trend: Christina Aguilera.

Christina Aguilera is trying to set the record straight regarding her divorce from Jordan Bratman.  She told People why she split up with her husband after five years of marriage:

“Things were so unhealthy and unhappy for both Jordan and me, I knew I had to end it.  I really didn’t want to hurt Jordan, and I felt torn about splitting our family up.

“When you’re unhappy in your marriage, your children are the ones who suffer.  That’s the last thing I wanted for my son.”

So basically, she revealed nothing.  Nothing about the lesbian affairs.  Nothing about her new boyfriend.     BORING.  What’s the point?!  Anyway, I knew from the minute that I first saw their wedding pictures that Christina and Jordan were not in it for the long haul.  He just seemed like too much of a dorky guy and she was, well, Xtina.   I am sad for them but not at all surprised.
