Now before you start rolling your eyes - yes another magazine has added a Top 100 list to their enclave, but what sets Rolling Stone apart this month, is that to help them rank the 100 greatest singers of all time (or at least until recording devices enabled us to record and re-experience vocals), they enlisted fellow artists - everyone from Mary J. After an amazing marketing campaign, and beautiful videos to match last time around (with Back to Basics), I guess it was inevitable that the trail back into contemporary pop would be a little rocky for Christina Aguilera. Such was clearly the case when seeing this video. I’ve always been Team Christina, in a…. masculine… guy kinda way…., but this just doesn’t do anything for me. It’s hard to state the obvious, that Aguilera is clearly swagger-jacking Lady Gaga, simply because one’s a vet and one’s a newbie, but it’s time to take off the horse blinders.

Thankfully, this is just a greatest hits project and not a full album.

After becoming a mother earlier this year, we thought Christina Aguilera would get more mature and drop her hot tranny mess look for something more sophisticated but still sexy. Christina is in an amazing shape and she sure knows how to flaunt her new mommy attributes but…

As you can see in these photos of a special performance in Dubai, it looks like Christina only got raunchier and a lot tackier than she was before. Not to mention the crazy insane amount of makeup she has on, which just seems to start melting with all the dancing, sweating and grinding on stage.

Poor baby Max should never be allowed to see his mommy’s insane behavior and dress code on stage. What do you guys think? Is it just for the show or did Christina went a little over the top?? I still believe the classy and sexy combination is possible!

Christina Aguilera vows she won’t change being raunchy, even though she’s a mom now.

“It is important to show Max what mommy does. It is really important to me is that he is an individual and that’s why it is important for me to stay true to myself. If it happens to be raunchy so be it! It’s a matter of self expression to me.”

I was wondering when the old Christina would come back. She just didn’t seem the same dressing conservatively. I think that as soon as she’s lost all her pregnancy weight we won’t be able to keep this girl down.

“I am not a fan of working out whatsoever. I am building up my stamina as we speak. It’s been a while since I have put on such a long show and since having a baby.”

I’m sure she can do it. She does whatever she wants anyways.

Both Christina Aguilera and Lady Gaga were out promoting themselves for odd reasons Thursday night and they almost wore the same style (Christina looking like Lady Gaga). Christina was out rocking the vote and Lady Gaga was busy promoting her new Greatest Hits album. (She’s been singing so long that she already has a Greatest Hits Album?) The two of them could almost pass as twins.

Being a celebrity sometimes is hard when everyone thinks they can bash you for the fun of it. But sometimes people writing about them forget they are human. Christina Aguilera says she hates it when people attack her image and tries to ignore what people say about her.

“To be honest, it does hurt because I try my best to treat people around me fairly and to be the best person I can. I’m spiritual and come from a family, especially a mother, that’s instilled good values in me and kept me grounded, so that’s what I have to concentrate on.”

I think Christina has come along way from who she was. Her baby, Max, has done alot to make her mature. I think she’s doing a great job.

Fortunately there were some highlights about last night’s MTV Video Music Awards– NEW MUSIC! If you tuned in, and you made it towards the later portion of the show, you saw both Christina Aguilera and Kanye West perform brand new material from their upcoming projects. Both were amazing. I’d have to say Kanye wins for me (as I reported on my other blog, it was the most gut-wrenchingly humble performance I’d ever seen from the ego maniac), but Batgirl Christina was dope in a completely different aspect. It’s a toss-up!

I posted Friday that Christina Aguilera was going to be performing a modernized rendition of her debut single “Genie in a Bottle”–that which she did, but adding a twist to tonight’s overall-bland awards show, she debuted an electro-glam performance of her new single “Superbitch” (or “Super Bitch” — press release pending). Aside from Rihanna’s usual amazing stage presence (opening the show with “Disturbia” and absolutely killing it dueting with T.I. for “Live Your Life”) it was the performance of the night.

Stay tuned– I’m sure I’ll be able to snag the audio sometime tomorrow morning! Looking forward to an entire album in the same vein.
