Christina Hendricks: Sexy As Ever For V Magazine

Christina Hendricks

Mad Men‘s Christina Hendricks goes for total drama in the current issue of V Magazine.  For Issue 76 – The Sports Issue, Hendricks is styled as a quasi-steampunk archer.  Who knew a crossbow could be such a sexy accessory?  There’s also a shot of her as a card-flipping gambler, one presumes just for good measure.

In her interview, she dishes about working with director Nicolas Winding Refn in Drive and the wardrobe foibles that go along with starring in a show set in the 1960s.  (One word:  ouch!)

Keanu Reeves & Chloe Moretz Recreate ‘Taxi Driver’ For Scorsese Photo Shoot In Harper’s Bazaar

Paying homage to Martin Scorsese, Harper’s Bazaar has lined up Chloe Moretz, Keanu Reeves and other actors to recreate scenes from some of the director’s most famous films – all while clad in designer duds, of course!

Moretz, wearing Louis Vuitton, takes on Jodie Foster‘s star making role in Taxi Driver with Reeves portraying Robert DeNiro‘s Travis Bickle.

Foster gave the magazine a sweet story about Scorsese trying to instruct her in a scene with DeNiro:

“When we were shooting Taxi Driver, I think Marty was really uncomfortable with the fact that I was so young. The memory I have is of him and Robert De Niro trying to tell me how to unzip [De Niro’s] pants. And Marty keeps bursting out laughing. He can’t get a word out, and he tries to act serious, you know? He keeps smoothing down his face on both sides, but he just keeps laughing. And then De Niro decides he’s going to take over because he can do it.”

Other photos include Kate Bosworth, enraptured (and wearing Givenchy) for the Michelle Pfieffer role in The Age of Innocence.

Christina Hendrick (in Zac Posen) and Jack Huston recreate the Cameron Diaz/Leonardo DiCaprio dance in The Gangs of New York.

Emily Blunt, Ben Kingsley, Michael Pitt and more famous faces grace the Scorsese inspired photo shoot by Jason Schmidt.

This Is Not Christina Hendricks’ Best Look

Christina Hendricks

Christina Hendricks and her husband Geoffrey Arend were among many celebs who attended the world premiere of “Iris:  A Journey Into The World Of Cinema.”    The show is the latest by Cirque Du Soleil.

Christina is always very pretty – she just can’t help that – but I must say that I’m not thrilled with her look.  I like the watercolor leopard print of her dress, the top half of which is pretty cute.  The skirt, however, is really not a good length for her.  Hemmed an inch and a half and it would be great.  But then there’s the white stockings… which, just… no.   Not with that dress, not with the black shoes, not with anything but a nurse’s uniform, really.

Christina Hendricks Designs Swimwear With Her Husband

What’s a sexy gal with curves to do if she can’t find a bathing suit to fit her proportions?

Christina Hendricks tells Lucky magazine about the troubles she has finding clothing to work with her body and says that she and her husband, Geoff Arend, have taken matters into their own hands.

“I have to be careful about my proportions and keep it simple. What works for me is structure and something that shows my waist,” the Mad Men star said.

“It’s really hard to find a bathing suit if you have breasts. “You either get smooshed down or there’s no support. My husband and I have sketched out designs.”

The 36 year-old also shares that she began changing her naturally blonde hair to red as a kid.

“I was obsessed with Anne of Green Gables, so I wanted red hair,” Hendricks said. “My mom said, ‘I’ll throw a rinse on it.’’

Christina’s August cover of Lucky goes on sale July 5th.
