Here’s the first trailer for the upcoming movie Killer Elite starring Jason Statham, Clive Owen and Robert DeNiro!

Awesome trailer, I can’t wait to see this movie! The combination of these three actors in one film is almost too much coolness for one movie. Looks like a great action movie and an all around crowd pleaser. The fact that this is based on a true story makes it that much better. This one will be out on September 23rd, kicking off the fall movie season.

Being an actor balancing a family and a career can be difficult. Just ask Clive Owen. Owen tries to spend as much time with as possible with his wife, Sarah-Jane Fenton, and two daughters, Hannah, 12, and Eve, 10 when he’s not shooting a film.

While promoting his new movie, The Boys Are Back, in which he plays a widowed father, Owen talked about how no matter how much time he spends with his family, it can still be hard.

He said: “No matter how much time I spend at home, there’s always this thing underneath – that there’s a possibility I might disappear again and do a movie.

“Whereas most fathers, even if they’re not around that much, there’s a regular routine.”

How difficult must that be for everyone involved? You need to work to support the family, but working keeps you from your wife and kids.  At least most filming doesn’t go for more than a few months at a time.

Imagine being a tween girl and having Clive Owen for a father.  You’d probably be swamped by classmates trying to become your friend so that they can meet your movie star dad, right?  Or maybe you’d just be totally mortified.

Clive told In Touch that his daughters Hannah, 12, and Eve, 9, do their best to keep him in check.

“They send me texts like ‘Don’t wear the velvet jacket because it’s weird and embarrassing!’”

So the girls don’t think their dad is hip, then?

“They definitely don’t think that! They know me better than that.”

What kid isn’t embarrassed by their parents at that age, even (or maybe I should say especially) the famous ones?

It’s been talked about for a while, now Clive Owen himself is talking about Inside Man 2. 

At the New York City premiere for the film Duplicity Clive Owen said a few words about the highly anticipated sequel (Inside Man 2). According to Clive, the script is on the way and if all goes to plan, all of the key characters from the original film will be back. 

The first film was good, it always struck me as a hard movie to make a sequel to without being repetitive.

Clive Owen was seen leaving a private party at the Club Touch in New York last night. He has been busy promoting his new movie, The International, which comes out tomorrow (along with a bunch of other good movies), and decided he wanted some fun. He plays an Interpol agent taking on an evil banking conglomerate attempting to take over the world. So sexy and complicated!

Clive recently sat down with Parade magazine and told them all about being a sex symbol and the way his family treats him. Here are the highlights.

On thinking he’s not a sex symbol: Any actor who starts taking ‘sex symbol’ seriously or thinks of themselves as a sex symbol has got some serious problems. When I’m in my normal life I care very little about how I look. Sometimes I have to dress up when I’m making movies, but that’s not me when I’m just hanging around.

On not being a movie star at home: My family is hugely important to me and the most centering thing in my life. I go off and make movies, but there’s nothing better than going home and hanging with my girls. They completely boss me. I have no power in my house whatsoever. I am the geek of my household. I am so low-status in my house, you wouldn’t believe it, definitely not a movie star.

On what he would have done if he wasn’t an actor: I’ve only ever wanted to do this and I’ve never thought about doing anything else. The idea of doing anything else terrifies me. That’s a scary proposition. If anyone took acting away and said, ‘What could you do, what would you do?’ I’d be lost.

Clive seems like he is so down-to-earth and humble about who he is. That makes him even sexier I am sure.

Clive Owen will star in a new action film called Cartegena.

The “Children of Men” star is attached to “Cartagena,” a story about an undercover agent amid Colombian drug cartels, for Cuban’s and Todd Wagner’s 2929 Prods., overseen by veteran producer Marc Butan. Nick Wechsler and Management 360 also are producing.

Owen is really becoming quite the action star, I’m glad he didn’t take the Bond Role. It’s working out quite nicely for him.�

This movie looks fresh and fun. I’d be more than thrilled to see anything from Michael Clayton writer/director�Tony Gilroy. This one will be out in March ’09.
