As we inch closer to the return of Conan O’Brien to our living rooms, we will be seeing more and more advertising, naturally.  But the best part of about Team CoCo’s ads are the fact that they are pure comedy.  Just seeing the print ads and now this behind the scenes photoshoot, I can taste the laughter.

Conan O’Brien has been away for much too long.  In fact, I am starting to forget what he “tastes” like.  Hopefully I will survive on these “fumes” until November 8th when he makes a massive comeback on TBS, where yes, he will be “Very Funny.”

So who’s this owl?  Is he going to be Conan’s sidekick?  Will he be a a replacement for the likes of the Masturbating Bear or Insult The Comic Dog?  Not that I think Insult is replaceable, but I am game for something new and NBC free.

Here’s to the future for Conan O’Brien and the insane ratings he’s going to conjure up, that will more than destroy NBC’s late night ratings and Jay Leno’s ego…. what’s left of it.

Conan O’Brien made the announcement of his new show’s name is classic Team CoCo fashion.  On the “team’s” site he posted a video (below) and this:

I was really pushing for “360 with Anderson Cooper featuring Conan O’Brien”, but no one had my back.

Conan O’Brien was welcomed to the TBS family today in style when he met with the executives.  There was a huge crowd, packed with TBS employees, welcoming the one and only COCO with open arms.

He responded to the crowd with,

“Thank you for welcoming me to your home.  We are going to make great television … and I’m not talking about my show.”

TBS headquarters was a sight to see!  I would have loved to be there.  Conan O’Brien is going to ROCK this network.  Just you wait and see!

Conan O’Brien will be back on TV much sooner than fans anticipated. While his new late night show won’t debut on TBS until November, the wily O’Brien is popping up from his contractually forced television hibernation like a bright, shiny, redheaded tulip peeking through the late spring snow on CBS Sunday May 2nd. What’s the significance of that date, you ask – It is the moment the expiration date hits from the agreement signed with NBC forcing the comic off televisions everywhere. Steve Kroft at the venerable news show 60 Minutes gets the first interview and while the funny man cannot slam NBC or Jay Leno, he will play footsie with the rules and pique our interest with his unique take on his situation.

60 Minutes however, has an unusual fly in the ointment: due to the contract, they will not be able to show Conan in promos for the chat. So what should they do? Conan in silhoutte (like a mob informant) is funny. How about a puppet dog (but not Triumph - since NBC got that too in the divorce.) Or Cartman from South Park shown instead of Conan? The ideas are endless, but let’s face it, this is 60 Minutes and we won’t get anything that creative from them. Unless they let O’Brien choose… Make it happen CBS!!!

Conan O’Brien was performing on his ‘Legally Prohibited To Be Funny On Television Tour‘ at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City.  It looks like the red headed funny man is warming up for his big TBS debut in November.  I know that all the fans who haven’t been able to get tickets to the tour are chomping at the bit for a fresh dose of Team COCO.

Conan O’Brien is sitting very pretty right about now.  He landed a ‘home’ on TBS for his late night show which will start in November, when he is through making the country laugh LIVE on tour.

Last night Conan kicked off his tour in Oregon and was a HIT!  Not that that surprises me in the least!

Yay!   Conan O’Brien finally has a home!

Conan O’Brien has signed with TBS where his late night show with debut in November with the George Lopez show, Lopez Tonight moving into the midnight slot.

“In three months I’ve gone from network television to Twitter to performing live in theater, and now I’m headed to basic cable,” O’Brien said in the statement. “My plan is working perfectly.”
