Courteney Cox Dishes Up Beauty & Home Advice Online

Courteney Cox is teaming up with an old friend of hers and adding another skill to her resume.

The 47 year-old actress is dishing out home and beauty advice for Jane Pratt‘s website xoJane.

Former Sassy magazine editor, Pratt’s latest online offering now gives Cox a platform to offer up the kinds of tips Jane says she has been getting from the Cougar Town star for years.

“I’ve been getting all my best home and beauty tips from this girl. Now she’s going to be giving them to you.”

For her inaugural column,Courteney gives away two of her secrets: drugstore hair color and Edward Bess make up.

“For dark-haired girls who don’t like red hues coming through, I use Clairol Natural Instincts Brass-Free For Brunettes. It lasts about 28 days, but only costs $9.00,” Cox offered.

“I’m really into Edward Bess Makeup. I recently was in a hurry, as usual, and popped into Neiman Marcus where I had my makeup put on by the salesperson at the Edward Bess counter. I bought everything she put on me.”

Can’t wait for more.

Courteney Cox At Critics Choice TV Awards 2011

Courteney Cox headed inside the Beverly Hills Hotel for the first Critics Choice TV Awards 2011 Luncheon in Beverly Hills, CA on Monday, June 20th.

The 47 year-old actress chose a Lanvin snakeskin dress with a gray belt and black strappy heels. It was kinda shapeless on her and not my favorite Courteney look but it wasn’t terrible.

Cox and Cougar Town did not take any awards but her costar, Busy Philipps did win for Best Supporting Actress, Comedy.

Philipps, 31, wore a very pretty blue tie-dye (when have you heard pretty and tie-dye in the same sentence?) dress with ruffle hem on the skirt from Juan Carlos Obando. She paired it with a side braid and awesome summery shoes that tied at the ankle.

See photos of Courteney and Busy below.  (Read the article)

Jennifer Aniston & Courteney Cox No Longer BFFs?

What could possibly ruin the long-standing, close friendship between Courteney Cox and Jennifer Aniston?

A disagreement in how Courteney is handling her divorce to David Arquette is the root of the falling out – if you believe the insider quoted by US Weekly.

The “tension” between Aniston, 42, and Cox, 46, centers on the latter’s Cougar Town costars Josh Hopkins and Brian Van Holt and how Courteney is callously cavorting with the two in public, humiliating David in Jennifer’s mind.

“Jen thinks Courteney is acting callous by running around with this guy but refusing to file divorce papers,” an Aniston source tells the magazine. “Like she’s playing mind games with David.”

It gets under Jennifer’s skin in the same way her ex-husband Brad Pitt handled himself with Angelina Jolie when her marriage dissolved, according to the Aniston pal.

“She hates watching Courteney do the same thing,” the source says.

I’ve got to be honest, this sounds like such a load of BS. Why does the media insist on portraying Aniston and the poor put-upon gal who is always unlucky in love and now friendship too?

I’m not the only one who thinks this sounds like hogwash. Jennifer’s rep is denying this as well.

“It’s completely false — there was no falling out,” Aniston’s rep told the LA Times. “Jennifer has always and continues to consider Courteney a dear and close friend.”

It’s also worth noting that Jennifer introduced her latest guy, Justin Theroux, to her friends, and Cox was included in the gathering last Friday.

Courteney Cox At ‘Scream 4′ Premiere

Courteney Cox hit the red carpet for the premiere of Scream 4 at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Los Angeles on Monday, April 11th.

The actress was reunited with original Scream trilogy stars Neve Campbell and her estranged husband, David Arquette for the debut evening.

On why she chose to return to the series, Courteney told EW each filmed marked an important period in her personal life.

“I just enjoy doing all three of them,” Cox said. “That’s where I met David. Each Scream represents a huge turning point in my life: I met David on 1. We did not like each other on 2. We got married right before on 3. And [Cox and Arquette's daughter] Coco was born right before 4,” the Cougar Town actress said.

“This series of movies means a lot to me. I loved Scream 1 so much and the thought of being able to do it again with the original cast, Wes Craven, Kevin Williamson, just bringing that back was really exciting to me.”

Courtney Cox Tells Harper’s Bazaar “I Need Grounding”

Courtney Cox is the April 2011 cover for Harper’s Bazaar.

The Cougar Town actress had a chance to open up about her recent struggles through her separation from David Arquette. The pair were married for 11 years when things went south in the fall of 2010 and Arquette chose an interesting way of trying to work out his demons.

Cox defends Arquette, including his revelations on Howard Stern’s satellite radio show and her ability to analyze the situation rationally shows:

“If you didn’t hear the Howard Stern interviews and you just read quotes, I’m sure it seemed out of context, crazy,” she explains. “I’m not saying there wasn’t some crazy behavior, but if you know who David is, you know what his intentions are, how honest he is, and how big his heart is.”

The 46 year-old actress has had numerous opportunities to slam Arquette, but instead chooses to showcase his vunerability.

“You can’t really get mad at David because he’s not a malicious person,” she says. “He was dealing with things the best way he could. And don’t get me wrong, he was on a show for entertainment. David is smart, and David is also a showman. He knew what he was doing.” She pauses. “I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I don’t think he’ll be doing more Howard Stern any time soon. He’s not out to harm. But I’m his biggest protector. I can’t help it.”

Cox says she understands what she needs and is just trying to find her own happiness:

“The thing is, when you get older, it’s more about compatibility than it is about love,” she says thoughtfully. “I think it’s more about needing just a kind of peace and stillness. I’m kind of all over the place, and I need grounding. I want to be calm. I want to change a lot. I want to live not outside but inside. It’s nothing with David; it’s just what I’m searching for.”

Courtney’s issue is on sale Tuesday March 29th.

David Arquette Enters Rehab

Actor David Arquette has entered rehab over the weekend to battle alcohol addiction and depression.

Arquette and his wife, Courtney Cox, separated in October and Arquette has been fighting with these issues.

“He is in there for drinking and depression, not hard drugs. Rehab was inevitable,” the source said. “He is dealing with a broken heart. He can’t handle all the changes in his life. All his inner demons came out.”

Howard Stern has interviewed Arquette a few times since his split with his wife and the actor has admitted to heavy drinking.

Arquette said that his psychologist, whom he sees once a week, believed he was having a “nervous breakdown” (the actor later said he was joking) and confessed he’d been “drinking a lot.” “Everybody’s worried and concerned about me,” he added during the interview. “When I drink, I become a maniac.”

Arquette and Cox have a 6 year-old daughter, Coco.

It certainly isn’t easy to admit you need help and living in the public eye must make it that much more difficult. Good for David for doing what he needs to take care of himself and be a better father.

David Arquette Makes The Most Of Being Single

And I don’t mean that in a good way.  David Arquette, who has admitted to feeling “a little wild” since his ugly split from Courteney Cox, is acting like a kid in a candy store.  A sad, aging, desperate kid in a candy store, but nonetheless.  Page Six reports on David’s recent antics at the Mondrian Hotel in Los Angeles:

“David had befriended three attractive young British girls and ended up in a hotel room with them. He was drinking tequila and vodka and dancing closely with one gorgeous, leggy, dark-haired girl who was 21 and visiting from the UK. They had met earlier in the week and had been hanging out.  The party got so rowdy that security knocked on the door to complain at around 3 a.m. But David was polite and turned the music down. They emptied the minibar. Then David left at around 4 a.m. with the girls in tow.”

The woman denies that it was a romantic encounter, saying:

“David is a friend of a friend. There’s nothing going on.”

I guess if you are newly single after 11 years, you’re probably going to go a little crazy.  But there is no reason to get tacky and stupid about it, unless you really WANT gossip columnists and bloggers to write about you.  Just a little restraint and decorum goes a long way!

David Arquette and Courteney Cox DIVORCE – The Truth Comes OUT

David Arquette and Courteney Cox sort of shocked the world with the announcement of their split.  It was sudden for us, but they have been separated for months.

The couple has been married for 11 years and suddenly they feel the desire to separate and see other people?  Now that’s not normal.  That’s a process that happens when you are dating.  Not married with a kid for 11 years.  Odd?  Yep.

David Arquette Signs Major Deal With The Little People

Anyhow, they were claiming all the nice stuff, like they are still friends, etc.  But then David Arquette goes to Howard Stern and the claws are out.

Courteney told David she was “tired of being your mother.”  And initiated the split.  David also shared that they haven’t had sex in four months.  So he rebounded with one girl.  Yeah, that one you heard about, the Lindsay Lohan slapper, Jasmine Waltz.  Gross!  That girl gets around and around, and around.  Yuck!

So, is there any chance that David Arquette and Courteney Cox will get back together?  Sure, there’s always a chance.  Is it likely?  Nope.  I see the divorce papers being filed, very shortly.  After that Howard Stern interview, it’s as good as over.

Courteney Cox Covers ‘Emmy’ Magazine

Courteney Cox appears on the cover of the latest issue of Emmy (Issue #4, 2010), which is rather ironic:  she was the only one of the Friends ensemble cast who was never nominated for an Emmy Award.   She talks about that disappointment and more in an interview for the magazine.

On missing out on those Emmy nominations: “My ego got really bruised. When everyone did but me, that doesn’t feel good at all…There were certain years I thought, ‘Maybe I have a shot,’ like the Monica-Chandler years. But I don’t know how it happens and why… maybe I wasn’t ready.”

On getting older: “…aging is nobody’s friend…One second ago I was the youngest person on the set, and now I’m the oldest,” she said. “I’m so old, my joints hurt when I keep my legs crossed a certain way for too long. I need glasses to see a movie, to see the computer and to read a book. I was like really?”

On lacking self-confidence when she was younger: “I always talked myself out of going in to read. I don’t know if I had that much confidence…I was always thinking that I needed to do something else, be more mysterious… [Today] I’m much more content.”

COURTENEY COX IS ON IN STYLE

Catch Courteney in the season premiere of Cougar Town on September 22 on ABC.  Maybe this will be her season to catch that Emmy nod!

Courtney Cox Is On InStyle Magazine

Courtney Cox is  on the cover of InStyle magazine. I really hate this photoshopped mess. She’s just looks unnatural and we see her every week on TV so it’s not her overdoing botox – it’s terrible art decisions for the cover. But I digress…

The Cougar Town actress addresses the botox rumors (yup) and how she was thisclose to selling pools (at least if her dad had his way):

To Botox or Not Botox: “Aging gracefully is one thing, but trying to slow it down is another. Sometimes I use Botox. Compared to most, I use it very sparingly,” she says.

Friends couldn’t have come along at a better time:  “At one point my dad called me and said, ‘You have always been a great salesman. I think it’s time you come home and sell swimming pools.’ I don’t think I would ever quit acting, but there are other things I am interested in. I wanted to be an architect, and I wish I knew more about landscaping. I think I’d be a good therapist too.”

Courtney owning up to using botox is fine and all. I just want to know one thing – Why isn’t every male celebrity asked this same question?? How long is Robert Pattinson going to be able to play an ageless vampire without a little botulism injection I ask you.

And this cover – what monkey did this airbrushing? – she has the smile of Jack Nicholson’s Joker. She’s a beautiful woman – this is terrible.

And enough with the pink cover InStyle. We know it’s for women. Try finding something like, you know, style…
