Pippa and Kate Middleton, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Beyonce and Solange Knowles and the Fanning girls are all fashionable sisters in magazines for the holidays.

First up was Vogue’s Annual Best Dressed Women and now Dakota and Elle Fanning take the cover of the December issue of W magazine.

The sisters are photographed by Mario Sorrenti in stylish, gorgeous and amazing in gold lace Valentino Couture dresses for the holiday issue.

Dakota, 17, spoke about staying grounded:

“I don’t know if I’ve ever gotten any formal advice, but I’ve always felt that you should never forget that you’re just a person,” the Twilight actress said. “Even though you’re not like everyone else, you are just like everyone else. For instance, I met someone the other day, and they said, ‘Hi, I’m so-and-so.’ I said, ‘Hi, I’m Dakota.’ And they’re like, ‘Yeah, I know.’ But I can’t lose the fact that I still need to introduce myself to people even though they might already know my name or who I am. Oh, yeah, I guess you already know my name, but I’m going to say it anyway.”

Elle, 13, said she’s adjusting to having her older sis off at college:

“She is a nice older sister. But it’s not like we always get along. Now that she’s going to college, it’s different. I went into her room at home in California, and all her clothes were gone! Her closet was empty! I don’t get to go in there and steal clothes anymore. It’s really strange. It’s sort of like she’s off making a movie, but this time she’s not coming back.”

Vogue has compiled its Best Dressed Women list for 2011.  This year they’ve gone with a sibling theme, and the two who rose to the top of the list might surprise you:  Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.    But these sisters have really transformed their sense of style in the last couple of years, rising from the ranks of the blandly safe (Ashley) and the truly disastrous (Mary-Kate, over and over again) to fashion mavens in their own right.  They have two fashion lines (The Row and Elizabeth and James) recently launched a T-shirt style website (StyleMint), and in 2009, they were admitted to the CDFA.   And they’ve proven that they are actually capable of going out in public looking pretty good.

Other famous sisters who made the list include Beyonce and Solange Knowles,  Elle and Dakota Fanning, and, of course, Pippa Middleton and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.   Visit Vogue for the complete list, or pick up a copy of the 2011 Best Dressed Special Edition on November 15th.

Dakota Fanning is the perfectly “seductive and sweet” face of the newest scent by Marc Jacobs, Oh, Lola.

This new fragrance, which features notes of raspberry, frais des bois, pear, magnolia, vanilla, is styled as a “little sister” to the designer’s Lola.  Which is a bit novel and somewhat confusing, because Lola was intended as an “older sister” to his Daisy perfume.  I guess the family is growing?

This is what Jacobs has to say about his new product:

“We recolored the bottle and changed the juice [...] This Lola is more of a Lolita than a Lola, but we weren’t going to call the fragrance Lolita. Lola is more seductive; Oh, Lola is sensual, but she’s sweeter.”

And on his new model:

“When we were speaking about who to use in the Oh, Lola fragrance ads — I had recently seen ‘The Runaways.’ Dakota was in it, and I know she could be this contemporary Lolita, seductive yet sweet.”

Dakota commented that she was “humbled” to be asked to front the campaign.   Humbled to be asked to pose as a Lolita?  The bottle between her legs just couldn’t be more obvious.

Oh, Lola will launch at Bloomingdale’s this July.

Dakota Fanning turned out for the 2011 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City on Monday, May 2nd.

The 2011 Met Gala, as it’s more commonly known, featured an exhibit, the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty retrospective, which honored the late designer’s body of work.

Fanning, 17, opted for a pale sand colored ballgown from Valentino with a variety of different flowers appliqued to the bodice and skirt and lots of fluffy tulle for a ballerina feel.

Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart are heating up the screen in The Runaways.  In this new flick, we get to see a brand to side to the not so little anymore, Dakota.  She’s 16 now and she has taken on a role way out her usual element.  She plays the lead singer, Cherie Currie and that means she’s gotta smolder.  And then she’s snorting cocaine, having lesbian scenes, and generally not being the little girl we know and love.

As you can see in these snaps from the film, Fanning wears lingerie on stage and she does it well.    I have always been a Fanning fan and I appreciate her branching out.  But, until I actually watch this movie, I am a tad weirded out seeing her be “sexual” and strung out!

Gabourey Sidibe and Dakota Fanning are this months cover girls for V Magazine. These two young starlets have made a huge impression on the film industry and the world as a whole.

MARIAH CAREY NO MAKEUP IN ‘PRECIOUS’ ROLE

Sidibe talks about her role in Precious,

“All my life I’ve been hearing that I’ll never amount to anything until I am skinny,” Sidibe said. “And she disapproved everything that everyone has ever told me.”

Fanning shares her feelings on being a real person in famous lifestyle,

“I think that when you’re in the public eye, you automatically become a role model, because people are reading about you and looking at pictures of stuff you’ve done,” Fanning said. “But, you know, no one’s perfect, everyone makes mistakes. I have made mistakes and I will make mistakes. I’m only human.”

She may already be a star in Hollywood, but Dakota Fanning is still just a girl in high school.

This weekend it was homecoming at her high school, Campbell Hall Episcopal School in North Hollywood.  Not only did Dakota cheer on the football team with the rest of her squad, but she was also crowned homecoming QUEEN!

I wonder which was more exciting, being crowned homecoming queen, or getting the role of Jane in The Twilight Saga: New Moon?

Kristen Stewart was seen in tight leather filming her first scenes from The Runaways. I know I was a little leery of how she would pull off the Joan Jett role but I think she’s doing a great job.  Joan has been spotted around the set and when they are side by side they look pretty much like a match.

There has been rumors of a lesbian scene between her and Dakota Fanning where they share an intense lip lock. I guess we will have to go see the movie to see if that really happens. The people that started that rumor are genius’ because now people will go the move theater in droves to see if it’s true.
