Daniel Craig & Rooney Mara ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ EW Cover

Rooney Mara wraps herself around Daniel Craig for this week’s cover of Entertainment Weekly.

The two principal stars of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo give a peek into filming the intense drama that will open at holiday time.

Mara tells the magazine she knew there was quite a bit of heavy themes she would be dealing with but one, not-so-obvious thing gave her pause:

“There were certainly things I was scared to do, but I never thought I wasn’t up for the challenge,” she says. “The motorcycle was the thing I really didn’t want to do. You know, you’re going to be raped, be naked… But as soon as he was like, ‘You’re going to have to ride a motorcycle,’ I was like, ‘Oh, really?’”

Director David Fincher doesn’t shy away from controversy in his films and this one is right up his alley. Casting Mara as badass hacker Lisbeth Salander, took months and Fincher revealed recently that Scarlett Johansson was close to getting the part that Noomi Rapace had taken on and made famous in Sweden.

Fans of Steig Larson‘s books are eagerly awaiting Fincher’s adaptation, opens December 21st.

WATCH: ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ NEW Trailer

A new trailer has hit for the highly anticipated US big screen adaptation of Steig Larsson‘s novel The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Running at just under 4 minutes, this trailer is moodier and a much slower pace than the teaser trailer which was set to a Led Zepplin cover and was quick flashes of scenery.

This time, we get to meet Daniel Craig‘s Mikael Blomkvist, Rooney Mara‘s Lisbeth Salander and Christopher Plummer‘s Henrik Vanger and get more feel for the vibe of the movie.

David Fincher‘s (The Social Network) take on the disgraced journalist delving into the mysterious disappearance of a girl from a wealthy and powerful family, who turns to the brilliant but outsider young woman everyone is wary of opens December 21st.

Helen Mirren Gets Sexy – And Patriotic – For Esquire August 2011

Helen Mirren just can’t help it:  she’s smoking hot in whatever she wears, even when it’s the Union Jack.  Which is exactly how she appears in the August 2011 issue of Esquire.  Snapped by British fashion photographer Perou, Helen wraps herself in the British flag for a fun, sexy portrait.   She also shares a few quick insights:

On the best compliment she’s ever received: Right after winning the Oscar, (Best Actress in 2007, for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth in The Queen),  when everyone was going home, they let these little gold Oscary shapes flutter down from the ceiling. Leonardo DiCaprio came over, bowed down, and kissed my hand. It was the most fabulous moment — such a lovely gesture. He didn’t say anything.

On the best phase of life: One’s twenties. It’s a shame because you’re your most gorgeous and you’re physically in peak condition. But it’s actually when you’re most insecure and full of self-doubt. When you don’t know what’s going to happen, it’s frightening.

On playing possum on film and stage: Some people are brilliant at dying. It’s hard to stop breathing, and inevitably you get an itchy nose or something. The trick of dying onstage is to make sure you do it behind the sofa or in a dark corner.

Rachel Weisz & Daniel Craig Married In Secret Ceremony

Here’s some completely out of the blue celebrity news for you:  secret couple Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz were married last week.

If you didn’t know these two were even an item, well, you’re not alone.  They have kept their relationship extremely private since hooking up on the set of their upcoming movie, Dream House.

And their wedding was equally low-key.  They were wed in New York with just four guests – Daniel’s daughter Ella (18), Rachel’s son Henry (4), and two friends to serve as witnesses.

A source explained their choice to keep it under wraps.

‘Daniel and Rachel insisted on having a small, quiet wedding. They are madly in love and couldn’t wait to be husband and wife – but they wanted minimum fuss.’

Now that I know they’re together, I’ve got to say I really like these two as a couple.  Somehow, it makes sense that they’re together.  Congratulations Daniel and Rachel!

Naomie Harris First ‘Bond 23′ Girl?

Naomie Harris is in talks to star with Daniel Craig in the upcoming 23rd James Bond movie.

The latest report is that Naomi Harris, famous for 28 Days Later and the Pirates of the Caribbean films, is in talks for Bond 23. The first report came from the UK tabloid News of the World, but was later confirmed by EW and other outlets.

Looks like we have our first new Bond girl! It’s odd because there was almost an entire cast in place for this movie before it was halted because of MGM’s budget drama. Now it’s obviously starting fresh, I hope the movie has an intriguing story like Casino Royale. I’m guessing they will reveal a title and plot synopsis by the end of the summer.

Official ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ Trailer Released, Still Great!

Here’s the official teaser trailer for the upcoming film The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

This trailer is great, very intense and stylish. This is the PG version of the Red Band trailer that was leaked last week, both are practically the same minus some blood and bare skin. This is the next film from David Fincher (The Social Network, Fight Club) so expect some intensive dialogue and raw emotion. I’m excited about this one, it should be a great holiday season!

‘Bond 23′ Finally Back on Track for November 2012

Finally all the issues that were holding the next James Bond film from moving forward have ended. The as yet untitled Bond 23 is preparing to shoot this fall for release in the USA on November 9th, 2012.

Bond fans can finally set their countdown clock for the next 007 installment. MGM and Sony Pictures Entertainment announced today that the 23rd James Bond film will be released late next year.

Great news! It was bound to happen eventually, I’m just glad it’s now and not later. Quantum of Solace wasn’t nearly as good as Casino Royale, I really hope they get a great script together to bring the quality back up. To be fair, there are many less than excellent bond films in the huge 22 film series. I just hope they can change that trend and do Daniel Craig‘s Bond justice. I’m a big Bond fan so I’ll be following this one closely, stay tuned.

Hopefully you catch this trailer before it gets pulled by the studio, the official release of the trailer was supposed to be next week.  See it after the jump! (Read the article)

James Bond (Daniel Craig) Does Drag (Video)

Daniel Craig dressed as a woman in a PSA in the UK released today. Check out the video!

Wow, he’s an ugly lady. But he’s a pretty ugly man for that matter, I’m hoping he doesn’t ever do this again. I understand the attempt to point out inequality, but really? Daniel Craig is a good sport, thats all I can say. Now excuse me while I go wash my eyes out with soap.
