First Look: ‘Dream House’ With Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz (Image)

Here’s the first official image released for the upcoming thriller Dream House starring Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz and Naomi Watts.

A couple (Craig and Weisz) relocates their family to a quaint New England town. But as they settle into their new life, they discover their perfect home was the murder scene of a mother and her children. And the entire city believes it was at the hands of the husband who survived. When Will investigates the tragedy, his only lead comes from Ann Paterson (Naomi Watts), a neighbor who was close to the family that died. As Will and Ann piece together the disturbing puzzle, they discover that the story of the last man to leave Will’s dream house will be just as horrifying to the one who came next.

Sounds like it has a lot of potential for being a great movie, I love thrillers. This is a stellar cast in my opinion, I really am looking forward to seeing more about this film. Unfortunately we have to wait until after summer movie season to see this, it’s out on September 30th, 2011.

‘Bond’ Lives In 2012 and Beyond!

Great news for bond fans around the world. Bond 23 is back on track for a 2012 release, with plans for bi-annual sequels from then on.

Having officially filed for bankruptcy in preparation for its next phase of existence, MGM has begun making big plans for the return of James Bond reports Bloomberg.

The studio is apparently fully intent on shooting the next 007 film in the next two years with a release date of November 2012 already being targeted, and is reportedly planning to releasing a new 007 film at regular two year intervals after that (meaning 2014, 2016, 2018, etc.).

Great news, hopefully Daniel Craig will still fill Bond’s shoes. He has new commitments, but I’m betting they will schedule around these conflicts to keep him.

‘Bond 23′ Not Dead, Daniel Craig is Still Waiting

It was reported earlier this week that the 23rd James Bond film was no longer on hold, but cancelled outright. This is not true, Daniel Craig and director Sam Mendes are still waiting until MGM’s financial issues are resolved.

Late last night THR ran a piece that didn’t present much new info, but came to the same conclusion we did on Tuesday: nothing new to see here, reports of Bond’s death are exaggerated. And now Deadline says that, unless a pre-packaged bankruptcy is part of MGM’s debt relief, Bond won’t be going anywhere. No sale, no transfer. Furthermore, Mike Fleming relates that he’s been told that both Sam Mendes and Daniel Craig plan to come back to Bond once MGM’s situation is resolved.

Good news for Bond fans (including myself). But really, do they expect anyone to believe that another Bond film won’t be made? It’s just a delay, calm down people.

‘Bond 23′ Cancelled, For Now

Unfortunately development of the newest Bond film has been halted indefinitely!

007 producers, Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli of EON Productions, today announced they have suspended development on the next James Bond film previously scheduled for release 2011/2012.

“Due to the continuing uncertainty surrounding the future of MGM and the failure to close a sale of the studio, we have suspended development on ‘Bond 23′ indefinitely. We do not know when development will resume and do not have a date for the release of ‘Bond 23,’” stated Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli jointly.

Although this is sad news for those anxious to see the next installment in the world of James Bond, it’s just a delay. You know the franchise will continue, it’s only a matter of time. There is clearly a solid audience, there just needs to be a solid studio to produce the next film.

Rachel Weisz Moves into ‘Dream House’ With Daniel Craig

Rachel WeiszDaniel Craig

Rachel Weisz has signed on to costar with Daniel Craig in the new film Dream House.

Rachel Weisz has joined the cast of Jim Sheridan’s thriller “Dream House” for Universal Pictures and Morgan Creek says Variety.

The story follows a couple (Weisz and Daniel Craig) and their kids who relocate into what appears to be the ideal residence in small town Connecticut.

Should be a good match up with Weisz and Craig together, I’m already intrigued. Sounds like a pretty run-of-the-mill story, but hey, maybe it will be original somehow.

Daniel Craig Replaces Robert Downey Jr. in ‘Cowboys and Aliens’

Daniel CraigCowboys & Aliens

Daniel Craig has stepped into the role Robert Downey Jr. was set to play in the upcoming comic book film Cowboys and Aliens.

Daniel Craig has closed his deal to star in Cowboys and Aliens for DreamWorks and Universal, as I predicted. Craig will star in an adaptation of Fred Van Lente’s graphic novel that was published by Platinum Studios and revolves around cowboys and Native Americans who put aside their Old West differences to battle invading aliens. Craig will play the lead cowboy Zeke Jackson, replacing Robert Downey Jr who exited to jump right back to the Sherlock Holmes sequel.

Craig is a good fit for the role. And even though we know Robert Downey Jr. and director Jon Favreau have worked well together in the past, it will be a nice change of pace for Craig from the  Bond films.

Next 007 Film is Shocking According to Writer

Daniel Craig as Bond

According to Peter Morgan the writer of James Bond 23, it’s going to be shocking!

Peter Morgan (Frost/NixonThe Queen) talked briefly to MI6 about what we can expect from James Bond 23.

The site says that Morgan has been writing the first draft of the screenplay from July until October of this year. “It’s a shocking story”, he said after admitting he couldn’t give anything more away.

Pre-production work on the 23rd installment, and third 007 film starring Daniel Craig, has been put on hold until the expected sale of MGM goes through.

Supposedly it’s supposed to start shooting late 2010, so we can hope for a November 2011 release, but depending on the MGM issues it could be the following year. Hopefully we don’t have to wait that long.

Zac Efron Says He Wants to Be a Bond Villain. Aw, Isn’t That Cute?

Zac Efron

Zac Efron says he want to play a villain in a James Bond film.

Zac admits that he’s a huge fan of the franchise and would do just about anything to share the screen with the current Bond, Daniel Craig.

“I’m a huge James Bond fan,” Efron said. “I’d love to be a Bond baddie. I’ve seen pretty much every Bond film.

“Sean Connery is my favorite and I really like Goldeneye with Pierce Brosnan.”

Ok, not to say he’s a bad actor or anything, but a Bond villain? I think he’s more than a little too candy/pop for that. Wait a few years Zac, people might buy you as a bad guy after you look less like a Seventeen magazine cover model.

Daniel Craig Moving into ‘Dream House’

Daniel Craig

Daniel Craig is has signed on to star in a new psychological thriller from director Jim Sheridon called Dream House.

In “Dream House,” Craig plays a man who moves his family to an quaint town, only to discover his house is haunted by former inhabitants who were murdered there.

It’s good to see Craig playing plenty of other roles to maintain his non-Bond career, but I’m ready for Bond 23. That will start shooting late next year after he finishes Dream House.

Daniel Craig Hugh Jackman A Steady Rain

If you have ever wanted to see Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman with their shirts off at the same time, you missed your chance. After the Sunday (October 25) performance of their Broadway show “A Steady Rain” the duo auctioned off the shirts they had been wearing all night for charity.

Following the auction the lucky winners were brought backstage where Hugh and Daniel autographed the shirts.

The generous move by the Hollywood hunks raised $4,000 each for Broadway Cares Equity Fights Aids.
