Daniel Radcliffe Makes Magic With ‘Business’ Opening Night

Daniel Radcliffe is succeeding in everything he does.

The Harry Potter actor is cast in the revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and the reviews coming in are largely fantastic.

The 21 year-old Brit is impressing the crowds and critics in the musical comedy that looks at the corporate world of the 1960s. Very Mad Men-esque, if Mad Men was happy, light and fluffy.

Radcliffe costars with Rose Hemmingway and John Laroquette with Anderson Cooper narrating.

Daniel Radcliffe walks the red carpet in Trafalgar Square for the world premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II today in London.

The actor chose a custom three piece Simon Spurr suit in a light gray for the event.

Radcliffe, who was in New York City performing in the Broadway hit How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying just yesterday, revealed his struggle with alcohol while filming this last HP installment.

“I became so reliant on [alcohol] to enjoy stuff,” the 21 year-old actor said.

“I really got away with that because there were many instances when a paparazzi shot like that could have been taken.”

Daniel says he now realizes “There’s no shame in enjoying a quiet life.”

Daniel Radcliffe Opens Up About His Battle With Alcohol

Daniel Radcliffe has been a child star in the public eye for over 11 years who matured and never became the out-of-control promising young actor that the public is accustomed to witnessing but Radcliffe now says some of that was just an illusion.

The 21 year-old Harry Potter star reveals to GQ magazine that he has secretly battled alcohol and has been dry for close to a year now.

“I became so reliant on [alcohol] to enjoy stuff,” Radcliffe tells GQ via People magazine.

“I really got away with that because there were many instances when a paparazzi shot like that could have been taken.”

The Broadway star of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying said it was the trap of thinking that he should behave a certain way to enjoy himself and when he realized the difference, he changed.

“There were a few years there when I was just so enamored with the idea of living some sort of famous person’s lifestyle that really isn’t suited to me,” Radcliffe says.

“There’s no shame in enjoying a quiet life. And that’s been the realization of the past few years for me,” he says.

As the last Harry Potter installment is set to open worldwide in theaters in the next few weeks, Radcliffe is finding a new happiness with his girlfriend, Olive Uniacke, that includes no alcohol.

“I’m actually enjoying the fact that I can have a relationship with my girlfriend where I’m really pleasant and not f—— up totally all the time.”

Daniel Radcliffe Feels “Cooler” In NYC Than In The UK

Daniel Radcliffe nabbed the Gotham cover for it’s April/May issue looking decidedly downtown.

The actor who is currently starring in the Broadway revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying told Gotham how being a guy from England is pretty cool for him in New York City.

“There is something very special about being English in this city, because there’s a certain fascination with British culture,” the Harry Potter actor said. “I don’t know what it is, but I feel a lot cooler here than I do in England.”

The Radcliffe issue is on sale now.
