Daniel Radcliffe Says ‘Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Part II’ Is “Relentless Action”

The end of the Harry Potter big screen era is approaching fast and EW gets the scoop on the final film in this week’s magazine.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 is one of the flicks featured in the Summer Movie Preview and it certainly sounds like it will be one crazy roller coaster ride.

The new film is just a relentless action movie,” says Daniel Radcliffe. “It Just. Does. Not. Stop.”

The 21 year-old is taking on more diverse parts including the upcoming Woman in Black but says he does appreciate the fast-paced nature of this final film.

“I’ve become particularly aware on this film that I’m not always going to be able to play these action-hero-type parts,” he shared. “You really have to enjoy it, make the most of it, have fun with it.”

Get more in this issue of EW is on sale Friday, April 15th.

The Trevor Project’s Hero Award To Go To Daniel Radcliffe

Daniel Radcliffe has worked with The Trevor Project for a few years and now the organization is honoring his commitment.

The Trevor Project works to prevent suicide in LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, questioning) youth by providing the only 24 hour nationwide hotline for teens and young adults.

The Harry Potter actor, who has filmed PSA’s (public service announcements) donated money and brought awareness to the cause, will receive the group’s Hero Award.

“The people that are doing the heroic things are the people answering phones 24 hours a day in the Trevor call centers,” Radcliffe said in an interview with the AP.

“I think that out of everything that I’ve done so far in my career, I think this is absolutely one of the most important, if not the most important, thing that I’m associated with.”

The Award will be given in June and past recipients include Nathan Lane, Vanessa Williams and Dustin Lance Black and counts Ellen DeGeneres and Neil Patrick Harris among it’s supporters.

Radcliffe will star in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying which opens on Broadway at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on March 27th.

The play is set to open March 27th at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in New York City.

Daniel Radcliffe Going Glee?

Harry Potter star, Daniel Radcliffe has his eyes on Glee.  He’s currently prepping for his big debut in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying on Broadway later next year.  Between the vocal and dancing classes, he might just get enough on his resume for the likes of Glee.  That would be somewhat of a dream for Radcliffe,

Harry Potter Stars Mourn Franchise’s End

“Yes, absolutely (I want a role in Glee)… Of course… it’s an amazing show and I (would) obviously be honoured to be asked. But, I’m not sure I’m ready for that yet. They’ve got standards like (Glee star) Kristin Chenoweth.”

Harry Potter Stars Mourn Franchise’s End

The final scenes of the last Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, are being filmed right now, and the movie’s stars are already feeling a bit nostalgic.  Emma Watson (Hermione) and Daniel Radcliffe (Harry) both confess that they’re going to miss their characters.

Emma said:

“I feel like someone is dying…This kind of love and recognition is just incredible. It is also really emotional for me. I am proud.”

Daniel concurs:

“I will be devastated [when it's over]…There is nothing I watch without it triggering a series of memories. Everything [about the films] is so linked to my life. At the same time, it is exciting. It is the end.”

Deathly Hallows wraps in two weeks.  Because the book is so obnoxiously long, they had to split it into two movies – one releasing this November and the second in July 2011.

Daniel Radcliffe Getting Ready To Leave Harry Potter Behind

After spending 10 years playing the part of Harry Potter, actor Daniel Radcliffe is starting to come to the realization that the wizarding world he has been a part of is coming to an end. It’s bittersweet for any actor as having a steady job is a wonderful bonus but some roles can limit your career for years (if not decades) to come.

For Radcliffe’s part, he told MTV news that he “did have a moment the other day, in the makeup room that I have been in for 10 years now,” he said. “I did walk in and go, ‘Wow, this is [hitting me]. One day — in about four or five months from now — I’m gonna walk in here for the last time.”

Can you believe it’s been a full decade of Harry Potter magic? Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and Radcliffe have truly grown up before the world’s watchful eyes.

Daniel Radcliffe: Girls Are “Heavenly Creatures”

daniel-radcliffe-new-york-premiere-harry-potter

Poor Harry Potter, I mean Daniel Radcliffe.  He is so confused.  One day he says how awesome it is that people think he’s gay.  The next, he’s singing the praises of girls.

“I’m not particularly a Lothario with women at all, really.  I mean, I love women’s company and I love talking to girls – I’ve always had more friends who are girls than guys because I’ve always found them more interesting, for obvious reasons.  I love girls, I really do. They’re just sort of heavenly creatures. They’re wonderful.

“But I don’t know, it’s umm… I mean I don’t find it hard to talk to girls.  I’m not one of these guys who freezes up with girls – I like having conversations with them – but I don’t think they probably like having conversations with me.  I’m quite nerdy and geeky and I’m not particularly cool.”

Why does this sound disingenuous?  I thought Harry Potter MADE nerdy and geeky cool!  I am sure Daniel can have his pick of fangirls all over the world!
