Eva Longoria gets an official invite to be a godparent from Victoria Beckham and has accepted. Eva must be thrilled to be chosen for the important role!

Longoria, 36, and Beckham, 37, have been friends since Victoria and her husband, soccer star David Beckham moved to the US when he signed on to play with the LA Galaxy and became very tight girlfriends when Eva and her then-husband Tony Parker split.

Victoria, former Spice Girl-turned-fashion-designer, is expecting a baby girl this July and the super busy mother of three reportedly has a Caesarian scheduled for July 4th in the US.

The Desperate Housewives star hosted Beckham’s fun baby shower last month. She will join the couples’ children’s other famous godparents: Sir Elton John and Elizabeth Hurley.

UPDATE: Victoria’s rep denies that Longoria has been asked saying: “Victoria has not asked Eva to be a godmother and no christening plans have been discussed at this time.”

David and Victoria Beckham are having a girl and the couple has decided to give birth to her in the U.S.

The Beckhams have reportedly scheduled Victoria’s C-section for the 4th of July to honor their love of America and to celebrate their fourth child.

A spokesperson for the couple confirms the birth will be stateside in early July, but isn’t confirming the exact date.

“It is no secret that Victoria will be having her baby in the U.S. – we will not be confirming the date although early July is correct’” she said.

The couple have three boys: Brooklyn 12, Romeo, 8, and Cruz, 6 years-old and the rumored name for their daughter is a Southern U.S. city, but that was shot that down quickly.

“David and Victoria have a shortlist of names and once they have met their daughter then they will decide – Atlanta is not on that shortlist!” the rep said.

An Independence Day baby girl for the couple would be pretty awesome.

Besides the obvious of the bride and groom, the other couple everyone was waiting to see today was David and Victoria Beckham.

The two attended the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton at Westminster Abbey in a very fashionable and glamorous way, naturally.

David chose a dark gray, traditional suit with coat tails, top hat and a light steel gray colored cravat by Ralph Lauren. The soccer star also wore his OBE medal proudly. Unfortunately it was pinned to the incorrect side as he entered Westminster Abbey, but on the way out he had changed it over to his left side.

Victoria chose a dress from her own Fall 2011 clothing line (smart!) in a subdued navy. And while it was full and billowy, you could hardly see any sign that she is pregnant.

“Today’s ceremony was beautiful and heartfelt. Catherine looked wonderfully elegant and we were honoured to be part of such a special, historical day for our country,” the couple said in a joint statement.

“We wish Catherine and William much love and happiness for the future.”

It’s an invitation many have been vying for but in the end, only a select few have managed to obtain.

Prince William and Kate Middleton‘s official guest list has been released by St. James Palace and there are a few celebrities that will find themselves sprinkled among the British Royal Family.

David and Victoria Beckham, Elton John and David Furnish have all confirmed their invites previously but now we have a few more names to add to the list.

Director Guy Ritchie, singer Joss Stone, actor Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean), and photographer Mario Testino are all confirmed for the event.

They will join Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip, Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, and heads of state, dignitaries, the Middleton family and the Spencer family – the relatives of the late Princess Diana.

What’s a girl to do when she’s thirsty and the lines are too long? Send a tweet of course!

That’s what Modern Family star Sofia Vergara had to do to quench her thirst in the new Diet Pepsi ad.

The actress is lounging on the beach in a blue bathing suit and wide brimmed hat trying to figure out how to get rid of everyone waiting in line to grab a drink.

Vergara sends a tweet to move the masses along: At the pier… Just saw #DavidBeckham

That clears the way for Vergara who’s able to grab her drink. Relaxing again, a soccer ball rolls into her chair and Becks appears asking “What’s going on over there?”

I love her expression – very cute.

David Beckham is just watchable no matter what, even doing something as mundane as heading to the airport in Washington DC.

The 35 year-old soccer stud was in town playing against DC United and was spotted at a couple of famous eateries around the nation’s capitol.

David’s three boys; Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz headed to the zoo with their grandparents while Beckham worked out with his team.

Team Beckham is gonna add a little pink to the family.

David and Victoria Beckham have confirmed they are indeed expecting a girl to add to their family of three boys. The confirmation came originally from David himself, at a LA Galaxy fan luncheon where the soccer stud revealed the couple did know the sex of their baby.

“Obviously, we’re very lucky to be expecting again, and this is the first time I’m going to say it: It’s a little girl,” Beckham shared.

The Giorgio Armani model went on to say they were delightfully surprised to get the news.

“We’re still in shock. Obviously, having three boys, you kind of expect another one, so finding out a little girl is in there is surprising, but, obviously, we are over the moon,” he added. “Our three boys are happy and excited, and Victoria is doing well.”

The Beckhams have three boys; Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, 8 1/2, and Cruz, 6.

This lucky little girl will have a killer fashionista wardrobe.

David Beckham is fitted in the blue colors of the Tottenham Spurs, in North London, where he is currently training and on loan from the L.A. Galaxy soccer club here in the States.

Beckham has been labeled a distraction for the team but manager Harry Redknapp believes otherwise:

“There are lots more press here today than normal. There are people outside the ground every day. Once we come in here we train and get on with it. It doesn’t affect us. It has been good having him here. Everyone respects him, likes him.

“There’s nothing flashy about him, in my opinion. He just comes in and just gets on with it. He’s a great role model for any footballer.”

Beckham is wanted back in Los Angeles in mid February when The Galaxy begin their season training.

Those uniforms are very Avatar-ish, don’t you think? They’re just missing blue body paint and pointy ears.

The Beckham household is about to expand by one.

David and Victoria Beckham announced they are awaiting a little bundle of joy.

“David and Victoria Beckham are delighted to confirm they are expecting their fourth child in the summer,” Victoria’s spokeswoman Jo Milloy confirms.

The Beckhams have been married for 11 years and have three boys already: Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz. The baby is due in early summer and the boys are “very excited about the arrival of their new brother or sister.”
