Denise Richards and rocker Richie Sambora broke up back in 2007, but rumor has it that they may be rekindling their relationship.  The pair were spotted out at dinner in Woodland Hills, California this weekend.  Sources characterize their do-over attempt as “serious” but note that Sambora and Richards are trying to keep things “low-key.”

Richards has a lot going on these days, what with making nice with another ex, her baby daddy Charlie Sheen, and adopting her new daughter Eloise.  Is adding a new/old relationship to her life really what she needs right now?    Do you think Denise and Richie 2.0 will work?  Drop a comment and spill!

Congratulations are in order for Denise Richards.

The 40 year-old actress has decided to adopt and welcomed a baby girl into her home this week.

Eloise Joni Richards (named after her mother, Joni, who died in 2007 from cancer,) joins her big sisters Sam, 7, and Lola, 5, who are Denise’s children with ex-husband Charlie Sheen.

The actress’ rep confirmed the child is from the U.S. and relayed the family’s happiness.

“Denise and Eloise’s big sisters couldn’t be happier and feel incredibly blessed.”

Richards thanked fans for the congratulatory tweets today.

“Thank you all for your sweet messages. The girls and I are over the moon and so is my dad Grandpa Irv…xo”

Denise is publishing a memoir this July that will detail her life and her turbulent marriage to Sheen.

Charlie Sheen is singing a different tune than he was just six months ago.

The actor whose career imploded in the blink of an eye when he was fired from the mega-successful CBS sitcom Two and A Half Men spent much of the summer waging a public war with Warner Bros (who owns CBS) and the producer of the show, Chuck Lorre, is now fessing up that he wasn’t “winning” at all.

“I said some things that were a little out there,” Sheen told Leno Thursday night. “I might have overshot the mark a little bit. But these were just metaphors. I didn’t really believe I had tiger blood or Adonis DNA. These were just jokes.”

Charlie also said he understands why he was sacked. “No, no. I would have fired my ass, too,” Sheen told Leno. “Well, maybe not like they did.”

The 46 year-old actor also told Matt Lauer that he was unprepared for how “biting” the comments would be at his Comedy Central Roast.

“It was raunchy. I thought I’d heard everything twice. Clearly I hadn’t,” Sheen said. “Yeah, no, they said, prepare yourself, and I said it’s just words. At the end of the day it’s just words and I was sitting there, and it was not just words. They were very biting.”

In the end, Sheen says he’s trying to make amends with his ex-wives, Brooke Mueller and Denise Richards, and have a relationship with his children.

The actor also says that he’s going to catch Two and A Half Men with Ashton Kutcher to see how it all turns out.

“Of course I will (watch ‘Men’),” Sheen told Lauer. “I’m also really curious about what happened to me. Because I don’t look at it just as what they’re doing forward, I look at it as what I left behind for them to continue, and how they’re going to figure all that out. So really, my hat’s off to them, if they can pull it off.”

Denise Richards‘ memoir, The Real Girl Next Door, hits shelves (and e-readers, I suppose) next month.  Last week she talked with the press at the Time For Heroes Celebrity Picnic and gave a few hints as to what readers can expect.

Practically the only reason most people will read this book is to get the dirt on Denise’s marriage to Charlie Sheen.   She assured reporters that it’s covered:

“I went through a lot and I get asked a lot of questions about that time in my life so I figured that I would share my story and hopefully, anyone that is dealing with challenges will know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.”

However, she intentionally kept the discussion of her marriage positive.   Awww, what’s the fun in that??!

“…People have only gotten the rotten stuff so you know, there was a beautiful love story between he and I and I know that it went the way it went, but I talk more about how I felt during that time because I feel like a lot of women can relate to that, going through a divorce and custody and being a single parent and trying to work and all of that stuff.”

Denise claims that she does her best to keep her daughters Sam and Lola away from the media coverage of all that “rotten stuff.”

“I protect my children from that. I don’t keep the news on when they are around.  They are in kindergarten and first grade so, so far they are okay, but I don’t know because that could change as kids get older and more aware.”

Which would be a lovely sentiment had she not done that whole It’s Complicated reality series (fail) and sued Charlie for the right to essentially exploit their daughters on the show. Disingenuous much?

Denise Richards joined tons of other celebrity moms at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation‘s 22nd Annual A Time For Heroes Celebrity Picnic.

Denise is cute and all, but she always seems to have this vapid look on her face, like she took one pill too many, or maybe there’s just nothing going on in there.  Or maybe it’s too much plastic surgery?  Who knows.  One thing I can’t snark about is her heart for helping the cause:  the event was expected to raise  $1.5 million to support efforts to prevent pediatric HIV infection and eliminate pediatric AIDS.

In another stunning display of her questionable taste in men, Denise Richards has confirmed that she is dating Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx.

She confessed to Andy Cohen of Watch What Happens Live on Bravo:

“He’s been my neighbor for years.  I may have borrowed some sugar from him once or twice…We’ve gone on a couple dates.  The God’s honest truth is we’re taking it very slowly.”

The god’s honest truth is that I am kind of grossed out… but not at all surprised.  Nikki likes kind of trashy girls, and Denise likes really, really bad boys.  I give them about six months, tops.
