Dennis Quaid as Bill Clinton in ‘The Special Relationship’ (Image)

Quaid in The Special Relationship

Here’s the first image of Dannis Quaid in the upcoming film The Special Relationship as President Bill Clinton.

(The film) Follows the unique and sometimes turbulent political relationship between newly installed British Prime Minister Tony Blair and U.S. President Bill Clinton in the late 1990s.

It’s pretty striking how much he looks like Clinton. This should be an interesting film, and a great opportunity for Quaid to show off his acting skills.

This is a new poster series for the upcoming film Legion.

Cool posters, I just can’t say I’m all that excited about this movie. It’s never a good sign when a movie is being released in January. Who knows, maybe we’ll all be surprised. Besides, I always like Dennis Quaid.

Backseat Cuddler’s Ten Hot Actors Over 50

harrison-ford-indiana-jones-and-the-crystal-skull-screening

Last week, Madonna dissed men her own age, saying that they are unattractive and grumpy.  (Also “divorced.”  Look who’s talking, Madge.)

Sure, there are plenty of older guys out there who resemble her remarks.  However, there are also plenty of older stars who still got it, big time.  Here’s our list of ten hot male celebs over 50 whom we wouldn’t kick out of bed for eating crackers.

Denzel Washington (54).  Look, I know getting weak in the knees for Denzel is nearly a cliche, but that’s one good looking man.

Sir Sean Connery (79).   Diamonds Are Forever, and so is the appeal of the silver screen’s original 007.    No surprise that even at age 69 he was named the Sexiest Man of the Century.

Liam Neeson (57).  I have been a fan of his for a long time, but his turn in Love, Actually forever clinched it.  Handsome guy AND a great dad?  I melt.

Richard Gere (60).   What red-blooded girl didn’t want to be swept off her feet by him like Debra Winger in An Officer And A Gentleman?   And he still looks good.

Samuel L. Jackson (60).  Mace Windu.  That’s all I have to say.

Kevin Costner (54).  He made us “believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days.”

Jimmy Smits (54).  President, Senator, lawyer, detective, and a lawyer again (in last season’s Dexter).   What can’t he do?

Dennis Quaid (55).   Although I first saw Dennis Quaid in Innerspace, I really started to appreciate him in Dragonheart (which – bonus – also featured Sean Connery!).   Then again I’m kind of a sucker for the guy who saves the day.  He also seems like a great dad IRL.

Clint Eastwood (79).  I don’t care how old Clint Eastwood is.  He is a damn handsome guy and an excellent actor and director.  Plus he could kick anyone’s ass.  What could be hotter?

Harrison Ford (67).  A perfect way to end a list that is, admittedly, fairly dominated by Star Wars alumni.    Being held by Han Solo might not have been quite enough to get Princess Leia excited, but we absolutely beg to differ.  He seriously just keeps getting better.  Harrison was very deservedly named one of Page Six’s Hottest Jewish Hunks last year!  Lucky Calista Flockhart!

Who’s your favorite actor over 50?  Comment and tell us!

Nick Wolfwood’s Fall Movie Preview ’09 – ‘Pandorum’

wolfwoodfallpreview3

I’m Nick Wolfwood and I’m bringing you a preview of the movies being released in the final months of 2009.

pandorum-5

Pandorum

Starring: Dennis Quaid, Ben Foster, Norman Reedus, Cam Gigandet, Antje Traue, Cung Le

What it’s about: Two crew members are stranded on a spacecraft and quickly – and horrifically – realize they are not alone. Two astronauts awaken in a hyper-sleep chamber aboard a seemingly abandoned spacecraft. It’s pitch black, they are disoriented, and the only sound is a low rumble and creak from the belly of the ship. They can’t remember anything: Who are they? What is their mission? With Lt. Payton staying behind to guide him via radio transmitter, Cpl. Bower ventures deep into the ship and begins to uncover a terrifying reality. Slowly the spacecraft’s shocking, deadly secrets are revealed…and the astronauts find their own survival is more important than they could ever have imagined.

Rating: Rated R for strong horror violence and language.

Trailer:

Release Date: September 25th, 2009

Thoughts: This movie looks like it could go either way. I really like Dennis Quaid, but he’s definitely not very picky about what movies he takes roles in. Sci-Fi/Horror can be a hard thing to pull off, I hope it’s good.

Demonic Red Band ‘Legion’ Trailer

legion

Here’s the red band trailer for the upcoming film Legion.

RESTRICTED 17+ ONLY!

Angels vs. demons, this one looks like it’s going to be bad to me. This seems like a really steep concept for people to embrace given our lifelong personal images of what angels and demons look like. Hopefully there’s a good story in there, not just mindless action.

Paramount Won’t Let the Critics See ‘G.I. Joe’ Because It’s Bad

gijoe

Paramount Pictures is keeping the critics from seeing G.I. Joe early.

“G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” opens Friday, but Paramount Pictures isn’t screening the blockbuster for critics beforehand. Only a select few writers from blogs and movie Web sites have seen it for review – such as Harry Knowles, the self-professed “Head Geek” from Ain’t It Cool News – and their opinions have been mostly positive.

Instead, the studio says it’s intentionally aiming the movie at the heartland, at cities and audiences outside the entertainment vortexes of New York and Los Angeles. Paramount held a screening Friday for 1,000 military service members and their families at Andrews Air Force Base; it’s also focusing marketing efforts in places like Kansas City, Charlotte, N.C., and Columbus, Ohio.

While appealing to a sense of patriotism nationwide, the plan also is inspired by the disparity that existed between the critical trashing “Transformers: Rise of the Fallen” received and the massive crowds it drew at the box office.

This just proves that they know the movie is bad, but regardless it’s going to make a lot of money. I used to like G.I. Joe as a kid, so I’m inexorably drawn to it.

‘G.I. Joe: Rise Of The Cobra’ Dennis Quaid Caught In The Madness (photos)

Dennis Quaid, G.I. Joe cast in Berlin

The cast of G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra arrived at Hotel de Rome in Berlin, Germany and were welcomed by a plethora of crazed fans.

I love how cute Dennis Quaid looks.  He is so sweet, signing all those autographs inspite of being so tired.  How funny is Sienna Miller, sneaking up the stairs…probably wanting to hit the sheets and catch some Z’s?

Feature ‘Pandorum’ Trailer Less Intense

Here’s the feature trailer for Pandorum starring Dennis Quiad.

This version of the trailer seems like it gives too much away too quickly, I was more interested in seeing it when I saw the last trailer.

Freaky New ‘Pandorum’ Trailer

pandorum_ver2

Here’s the full trailer for the upcoming horror film Pandorum.

This movie looks freaky, I like a good sci-fi/horror. Hope it lives up to this trailer.
