Drea de Matteo started out on the hit show, The Sopranos then went on to star on the short lived comedy, Joey. I actually enjoyed that show! (The shows I love always get canned). Now Drea has landed a role on Desperate Housewives.
The actress has joined the cast of ABC’s Desperate Housewives. Her character, which will debut this fall, is the head of a new Italian family that moves to Wisteria Lane. Casting is underway for her the matriarch’s landscape architect husband and neurotic son.
I think this is the perfect show for Drea and she is going to rock her character. I am anxious to see who her hubby will be. Please let him be hot!

All I can say is wow! This woman has a rockin’ body and even sports a sexy belly ring. I am loving her bikini. Kinda makes you want to hit the surf, doesn’t it?

Tonight’s the night. The ladies of Wisteria Lane will take a break for the summer and we will look forward to next season. Are you ready for the 2 hour season finale of Desperate Housewives? I am, but then again. I don’t want another one of my shows to be on break ! Oh well, it’s the summer time blues I suppose.

I heard that one today, too. I think that would be really a miracle if I got pregnant. I do know that Mike [James Denton] and I have a romantic announcement.You and Mike are getting engaged?

Have you been wondering why exactly Nicollette Sheridan aka Edie Britt is going to be killed off on April 19th? Me too. There are always rumors swirling but, let’s get down to the truth.
Money. Oh and a little personal issue, I think.
“Somebody up there really wanted her dead,” says the 45-year-old actress, referring not to the heavens, but to an even more powerful place—the office of Housewives creator Marc Cherry. Now she’s just trying to figure out the whydunit.
“I think that whoever Edie represented in Marc’s life was somebody he didn’t like,” says Sheridan. “And he had a very difficult time distinguishing between fact and fiction.”
So Marc Cherry needed to pinch some pennies and also never liked Nicollette. SO, get rid of the broad you don’t like so much and save a nice wad of cash…..two birds with one stone, right? So, enjoy the show Sunday night and let me know your thoughts on Edie’s exit!

Nicollette Sheridan apparently had some bitter feelings as she was leaving the set of Desperate Housewives (according to The Enquirer).
“Desperate Housewives” diva Nicollette Sheridan didn’t leave behind much goodwill as she departed from the show. In fact, she didn’t leave much of anything behind!
Hurt at not being given a going-away party, the bold blonde practically stripped her set trailer of items on her last day working on the show.
Shortly after filming her final episode as Edie Britt, the 45-year-old star went back to the Universal lot accompanied by her personal contractor to help load almost EVERYTHING from her trailer into his truck, say sources.
“Nicollette removed everything but the kitchen sink!” a set insider told The Enquirer. “I think she was angry she wasn’t given a farewell party, so she decided to take her own parting gifts.”
I find this story very amusing and not at all surprising. I don’t think anyone will miss her and pretty much they were all happy to see her go. Bah-BYE!

Ever since Jesse Metcalfe has been spotted on the Desperate Housewives set it seems like Jesse is cocky all over again. Yesterday Jesse must have been bored because he went out with a friend to buy a new beanie. All the cool guys wear a beanie and he just had to be one of those guys. And I have to say, it works for him.
Did you know that Jesse has a tattoo of naked Nadine Coyle (from the group Girls Aloud) on his upper arm? It shows Nadine, his ex-girlfriend, with a ripped out heart in her hand in front of a sun in the shape of Ireland. He got the tattoo as a reminder to not get his heart broken again like she did to him. And he will always remember to wear his heart on his sleeve now. Since getting the tattoo back in 2007 they still have been a off and on couple.

There is an upcoming kiss between Teri Hatcher and Eva Longoria Parker on Desperate Housewives. Teri and Eva spilled a little on the kiss and on Nicollette Sheridan’s departure.
“I did not kiss her. She kissed me,” Hatcher told Us. “We had fun.”
(Parker previously told Us, “Well, I’m a great kisser. She was not supposed to kiss back, so she was kind of just there, and I had to do all the work.)
As for their costar Nicollette Sheridan leaving, Hatcher tells Us, “I haven’t said goodbye yet. She is still working.”
Says Parker, “I’m so sad. She’s not only one of my best friends from the show, but I love the character Edie Britt. I love how ballsy she is; she kind of says and does anything she wants.”
I for one, am very curious to see the “grand exit”. I hope they do it right. No weak endings, please!!!

As we already know, Nicolette Sheridan’s days are numbered on Desperate Housewives. The show seems to be wanting something new and in order for that to happen, they have to throw out the “old”.
As production begins on the episodes that will spell the end of Nicolette Sheridan’s time on Desperate Housewives, the man responsible for creating her character is speaking out exclusively to TV Guide Magazine about why she’s leaving.
Says <>Housewives creator/executive producer Marc Cherry: “Nicollette Sheridan has immortalized Edie Britt from the first moment she stepped foot on Wisteria Lane as the deliciously seductive and strong neighbor. The creative decision to place this character in a perilous storyline was driven by the need to continue to keep the drama fresh. It has been our great pleasure to work with Nicollette we are all going to miss her very much.
I think she will be missed but, I am anxious to see what/who will fill her absence. Stay tuned to BSC…..

Well, there will at least be an attempt on her life. What is with all the hit TV shows booting their stars left and right? Desperate Housewives is the latest ‘killer’. Nicollette Sheridan will be a ‘free agent’ shortly.
Wonder if all those special requests cost Nicollette Sheridan her job on the still-hot ABC soap Desperate Housewives?
Reliable sources on the set of Wisteria Lane tell us exclusively that a script has just been circulated for rehearsal that includes the demise of Sheridan’s Edie Britt, the va-va-voom housewife who never really knew how to keep her mouth shuton camera and off.
ABC has, since we first broke the story today, confirmed to E! News that Sheridan will be leaving the show.
So how’s she getting offed? Here are the exclusive details of the rumored exit…
As it’s been penned: Edie finds out her husband, Dave, plans to kill herand Dave almost does kill her. She runs out of the house, but alas, poor Edie gets in an accident, something involving her car and an electrical wire. More details to come; the script is still being released for table reads.
Harsh! Her rep tells us, though, that “Nicollette had a great time on the show and is looking forward to her next project.”
Interesting, since we just ran a poll on which Wisteria hausfrau should be offed (as we think the show sorely needs to amp up the tension, already).
Our morbid results, by far, weighed in on Susan, aka Teri Hatcher. Like, that is so stupid! Yes, of course, everyone hates Susan the mostfor a variety of reasonsbut, dolls, you just gotta keep the most hateful one around. It’s a soap opera!
But D.H. sources have always told us N.S., game gal she is, has never been creator Marc Cherry’s fave.
How much do you think this will affect the show’s popularity? Nicollette Sheridan has never been my favorite on any level. I won’ t miss her.

Desperate Housewives is returning on Feb 8th. And boy and I glad. I honestly hate it when shows go on breaks. It throws off my whole routine! I know, it’s sad isn’t it?
This episode is called, ‘Kids Ain’t Like Everybody Else‘. Bree’s daughter, Danielle, returns to Wisteria Lane and is met with a deluge of criticism; Gaby and Susan find themselves embroiled in a cat fight.

Eva Longoria is the February 2009 cover girl for the “Man Issue” of Glamour magazine. I think she looks slamming! And the cover looks natural and not heavily photoshopped. I think people are getting that she isn’t pregnant right now and focusing on her again. Which is nice to see everyone doing finally…even though it is fun gossiping about people…
Here are some highlights from the interview:
On where she was during election night: My best friend, Mario [Lopez], my girlfriends and I were watching at home. I campaigned for Barack Obama with Latinos in Colorado, New Mexico and Texas. When they declared him the winner, I was overwhelmed with joy.
On the relationship with her husband: Tony [Parker] and I would love to be together forever. But the only way you get to forever is one day at a time.
On who is the flower and who is the gardener in her marriage: Im the gardener. I definitely nurture. [My husband] is the flower. But there are times when Tony takes care of mein an emotional sense, like, OK, let me take the reins on this one. But I love to take care of him. Im really a very fifties housewife.
On the appearance of recent weight gain for Desperate Housewives: Im wearing a fat suit! Its suffocating. Unfortunately, we live our life in public, so any weight gain or pimple is a national story. I dont get this obsessions with weight. Its not only Hollywood; its our society.

Normally this type of article would be a new couple alert, but this is definitely a warning. Rampant rumors have had Nicolette Sheridan and David Spade dating… and now that they’ve been spotted smooching in public, the rumors seem to be confirmed.
The pair arrived at Nicolette’s birthday party separately, but “couldn’t resist each other for long,” according to an Us Magazine source. They “cuddled and kissed” and were also described as “full-on making out.”
Both of their reps deny that they’re dating. I’d deny I was dating David Spade too; actually, I wouldn’t date him in the first place. Then again, considering that Nicolette’s last man was Michael Bolton, I guess there is no accounting for taste.

The men of Desperate Housewives need to be a bit more careful! Last month Gale Harold was injured in a motorcycle accident. Now, hot gardner boy Jesse Metcalfe has broken his leg.
Metcalfe was in Monte Carlo hosting the World Music Awards. He “slipped as he headed back to his hotel to change” and fell
40 feet from a hotel balcony down two flights of stairs...He was rushed to hospital, then flown to London to be re-examined. An MRI brain scan gave him the all-clear but doctors confirmed he had fractured his fibula.
Ow! He is super lucky he only broke his leg - that kind of accident could easily have been fatal! But I’m sure that if he needs comfort during his recovery, there are plenty of women - on and off Wisteria Lane - who would be more than happy to help. Get well soon, Jesse!
