Here’s the first trailer for the upcoming Pixar sequel Toy Story 3.
As much as I want to be excited by this trailer I’m just not, I’m hoping the next trailer will give us a better idea what the movie is about. In any case it’ll probably be great, it is a Pixar film after all.
Here’s the poster series for the much anticipated upcoming sequel Toy Story 3 from Pixar Animation.
Given Pixar’s track record, I expect this movie to be great. With a world so completely set up the film can just jump right into the story and hopefully wow us along the way.
Disney is planning for the future technology wise, planning to release future projects in multiple platform format with a little something called ‘Keychest’.
A Disney initiative that could allow consumers access to a movie on any device imaginable comes not to bury the DVD, but perhaps to prolong its relevancy.
Disney could demonstrate the new technology, code-named Keychest, in as little as two months, and it could be available to consumers next year, a studio insider said Wednesday. Using cloud-computing concepts that could be coupled with physical product, consumers would pay one price for rights to a movie they could play on multiple devices, even simultaneously, if desired.
“Dad has a Zune, Mom has an iPod, there’s a Mac and a PC at home and a Roku box; right now, those devices don’t talk to one another,” the insider said. “We intend to blend those worlds.”
Smart thinking on the part of Disney, technology is moving forward fast. It’s tedious trying to transfer and recode media so it will work on different systems, it will be nice for a cross platform system to be in place for ease of use.
Here’s the second feature trailer for the upcoming Disney remake A Christmas Carol starring Jim Carrey.
This version of the trailer is certainly more fun, it makes the movie look like a ride. Watching it in IMAX 3D looks like it will be quite an experience.
Johnny Depp has lost a lot of interest inPirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides the 4th movie in the hit series, here’s some reasoning as to why it is likely to be his last of the Pirate’s movies if he does it at all. And why doing Pirates 5 or 6 is out of the question.
The news that Disney exec Dick Cook was leaving the company was important to the people who work in the studio itself, but the part that got movie fans concerned was Johnny Depp’s suggestion that Cook’s absence might make him less enthusiastic to come back for a fourth movie at all.
Adding to the comments Depp made to the L.A. Times, our tipster is saying that even if he makes the fourth film, he definitely won’t be back for a fifth or sixth. Given that the Pirates franchise was the only live-action property making any money for the studio, they could reach deep in their pockets and keep Depp on for #4, but they’re also preparing to recast the role if he refuses a fifth and sixth film.
Also:Â Johnny Depp is well aware the second two movies sucked. That didn’t stop him from signing on for a fourth film, of course, but based on his comments last week it seems that his faith in Dick Cook was a lot of what was keeping him on board.
I hope he does make Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, but I don’t expect it to be any better than the last two. At least they are fun movies, but the fact of the matter is, Johnny doesn’t need Pirates movies to continue his career. He knows this.
That’s right a sequel to the film Ghost Rider has been confirmed and is going into development.
Columbia Pictures has begun to rev the throttle on a second installment of the Marvel Comics character “Ghost Rider.”
David Goyer is in early talks to create the story and supervise writers for a film expected to once again star Nicolas Cage, who played the highly flammable cyclist in the 2007 original.
Through a spokesperson, Goyer said he hadn’t signed on yet. But plans are already under way to base the sequel on a “Ghost Rider” script written years ago by Goyer, whose superhero work includes hit screen transfers of DC’s “Batman Begins” and Marvel’s “Blade” franchise. The original “Ghost Rider” was scripted by director Mark Steven Johnson.
The first film was such trash to me that the prospect of a sequel spurs a regurgitative feeling. I really hope they don’t bring Nicholas Cage back.
Johnny Depp’s interest in starring in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides has dropped substantially due to the resignation of Disney chairman Dick Cook.
Johnny Deppalso shared his reaction about Dick Cook leaving the studio with the Los Angeles times. Depp said he is “shocked and very sad” because Cook was the reason he signed on to the “Pirates of the Caribbean” films and that Cook was his biggest supporter when other executives didn’t agree with how Depp was playing the role on set. He also commented on the fourth “Pirates” movie, which Cook revealed just last week would be titled Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and be released Summer 2011:
As for the fourth planned “Pirates” movie, Depp said while he has a potential deal in place that will depend on how good the script is, his passion for the project at the moment has been severely dampened by the news that Cook will no longer be around.
“There’s a fissure, a crack in my enthusiasm at the moment,” Depp said. “It was all born in that office.”
Well lets hope the script turns out well enough for Johnny to do the movie, otherwise Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides can be considered dead in the water.
Here’s the latest poster for Disney’s upcoming animated A Christmas Carol starring Jim Carrey.
I can’t say I have the least bit of excitement about this movie. To me it just exemplifies studios trying to make a quick buck on stories told about 1000 times before. The animation is creepy too.
I’m Nick Wolfwood and I’m bringing you a preview of the movies being released in the final months of 2009.

Thoughts: Disney hasn’t had a 2D animated film in so long! It’s refreshing to see Disney go back to it’s roots, hopefully the movie can live up to previous classics. The animation, though 2D, really looks great.
Here’s the teaser trailer for the upcoming October double feature 3D re-release of Toy Story and Toy Story 2.
I haven’t seen either movie in quite some time, so I’m definitely looking forward to watching them back to back in 3D. CGI has come a long way since then.
Staunch supporter for PETA and animal rights, designer Stella McCartney has incorporated an unusual co-star to her Fall/Winter advertising campaign: Bambi. The Disney deer and his woodland friends are featured as prominently as the model and the clothing. Regardless of how you feel about animal rights, these ads are memorable and tell you more about the designer’s lifestyle branding than most other fashion photos. I like McCartney’s daring. It’s an ingenious way to stand out in the overcrowded field of fashion advertising in the fall pages of magazines.
Miley Cyrus is set to star in a new film from Disney called Wings.
Disney has acquired screen rights to the young adult novel ”Wings” and will develop the bestselling Aprilynne Pike title as a star vehicle for Miley Cyrus.
Temple Hill partners Marty Bowen and Wick Godfrey will produce. Tish Cyrus will be executive producer. It’s Temple Hill’s first foray into supernatural fare since ”Twilight.”
Pic will be developed for Cyrus to play Laurel, a 15-year-old who grows up sheltered and home-schooled in a small town. Adjusting to a big high school is difficult, and her suspicion that she’s not like the other kids becomes a reality when she sprouts a pair of wings and learns that she’s a fairy. Published in May, the novel is the first of a planned four-book series.
I’m getting a headache just thinking about this at all. I have nothing against Miley Cyrus but c’mon, can’t Disney give somebody else a chance for once? At least she’s playing a fairy, since I think we all know she’s no angel.
