Drew Barrymore Tells InStyle She’s ‘Super Happy’ In Her Relationship

Drew Barrymore covers InStyle magazine for the February issue in a form-fitting white MaxMara dress and Dolce & Gabbana bracelet.

The Big Miracle actress talks about her life as she edges closer to 40, her engagement to Will Kopelman and how she feels about plastic surgery:

On aging and how she’s changing: “I’m pushing 40. I feel like those things that I always aspired to are finally being realized. I used to be afraid to let go of the intensity. I thought the work would suffer. But the lesson is, No, it’s still good, and I’m a lot happier—and less of a nervous kid.”

On her fiancé Will and their relationship: “He’s lovely. He’s very, very nice. It’s really positive. I’m super-happy… We go on group trips and spend holidays together — there’s a lot of love! And that is really nice and very different from the way I grew up, which was more unstable and inconsistent, with a lot of highs and lows. It’s funny, when I was younger, I used to say I’d hate a flat line—that I want the ups and downs, the roller coaster. But I’m actually really enjoying the flat line.”

On whether she’ll consider plastic surgery: “I say, don’t fight the rings on the trunk of a tree. Just keep counting ‘em. The idea of not looking like myself scares me. I just think a person’s character is what’s interesting… I look 10 times better after an exercise class than I do at any other time of the day.”

Drew’s issue of InStyle is on newsstands now. Her film, Big Miracle, opens on February 3rd.

Drew Barrymore Stars In Neiman Marcus’ The Art Of Fashion

Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore is the star of Neiman Marcus‘ The Art of Fashion campaign for Fall 2011.   Photographed by Norman Jean Roy, the campaign will appear in a 16-page insert in the September 2011 issues of Vogue, Vanity Fair and W.

It’s worth noting that Drew is the first celebrity in 17 years to front this seasonal campaign; normally, the gig goes to a professional model.  I think Neiman Marcus made an excellent choice.  Drew looks amazing.

Designers highlighted in the shoot include Burberry Prorsum, Carolina Herrera, Prada, Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani, Michael Kors and more.

New ‘Charlie’s Angels’ TV Show Casts It’s First Angel

The relaunch of Charlie’s Angels as a weekly series is full steam ahead.

Last week it was announced that Robert Wagner would take on John Forsythe’s part from the original as Charlie, the man behind the detective agency and speakerphone. Now the first of the three angels has been cast.

Annie Ilonzeh, 27, of General Hospital will play Kate, a former police officer and martial arts expert turned private eye. The other two angels, Marisa and Abby have not been officially cast (although there are lots of rumors.)

The new Angels Agency will be located in Miami and Drew Barrymore’s Flower Films is producing the updated TV show for ABC. Barrymore also starred in the movie reboot with Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu.

Drew Barrymore Scores A $7M Mansion – At A Discount

Drew Barrymore has bought herself a house fit for the Hollywood royalty she is – but she did it with thrift in mind nonetheless.  The actress’ new home is 72 years old, has six bedrooms and five bathrooms and sits on 3.5 acres of land in the exclusive Montecito area of Santa Barbara.  It was originally on the market for $8 million, but Drew paid just (just??!) $7 million for the property.

Her new neighbors include Oprah Winfrey, Kirk Douglas, Billy Baldwin, John Cleese, Steve Martin and Rob Lowe.  Wonder who will be the first to knock on her door with a casserole to welcome her to the neighborhood?

Denim, Drew Barrymore & Nylon Magazine

Drew Barrymore is a denim darling for Nylon magazine’s August issue. The actress has a new movie coming up, Going the Distance, with Christina Applegate and her maybe boyfriend Justin Long. Here is an excerpt from Nylon:

Accepting herself: “You have to not pretend to be perfect, because that’s not only boring as f–k, but it’s just not real… So I feel so liberated in that way. I just really want to be true to myself. That’s essential in life. I would never be able to put on a charade. I would totally f–k it up.”

Technology isn’t bringing people together: “Ironically, with all this, ‘We’re now more connected than ever with technology,’ I don’t think we’ve ever been farther apart. I think it’s bulls–t. Everyone feels more connected but they’re weirdly disconnected.”

Not a shop-a-holic: “I never have time for shopping. I like it…I think? If i ever do go shopping, I hit thrift stores ’cause I know I’ll find new pieces around a job or a shot. I’ve been wearing the same f–king pair of jeans for 10 years.”

Drew Barrymore Is Elle-icious

Beautiful and confident actress Drew Barrymore covers Elle magazine in a sexy little black dress. Here is an excerpt of her interview with the mag:

On taking stock of where she is now: “For three years straight, I’ve been burning the candle at both ends, and as of last December, I just didn’t have anything left. I’ve been so aggressive about living life to the fullest and being plugged into everything, but now I’ve ripped the plug out of the wall and put it on the floor for a while. I’m thinking about the same things as when I was 15, about spirituality and who I am, who I want to be. It’s cocoon, pupa, larva, and fuck, I’m reborn!”

On the media’s misconceptions of her: “I make movies. I have a passion. Puppies and daisies don’t accomplish anything. That’s not me at all.”

On being single: “If you’re 35 and single and it’s a choice, it feels fine. So I didn’t settle with the wrong person yet. Big deal!”

On her upcoming role in Going the Distance: “I like that it’s not a traditional romantic comedy, with the story line of, ‘Oh, I slept with this guy, but when I woke up, I found out he’s the CEO of my company, and we’re going to live happily ever after once we go through all these crazy perils. I talk shit with my girlfriends. And it can get dirty.”

On why she’s not afraid to get older: “I don’t want to be vain or fearful, and I don’t think I’ll do anything [in terms of plastic surgery], but if I want to do something, I will. From my perspective, there’s no reason to be afraid of aging, because if you age, you’re lucky! The alternative is death.”

On child stardom: “I was raised in unique and trying environments, but they were also amazing platforms for me to have an extraordinary life. Going through hell as a kid made me sensitive to what others in this world go through too.”

I always love Drew. She seems to be honest and direct, owning her successes and her mistakes and doesn’t apologize for living her life on her terms. On sale next week, this is one issue I will buy.

Drew Barrymore – ‘Charlie’s Angels’ Is Coming Back To Television!

Original Charlie's AngelsNew Charlie's Angels

Charlie’s Angels is a classic TV show that Aaron Spelling brought to us many years ago. Later the ‘Angels’ hit the big screen in booming fahsion with two fabulous movies, Charlie’s Angels and Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle starring, Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu, and Cameron Diaz.

Josh Friedman (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) is going to write and executive produce the new Charlie’s Angels show for ABC.  Drew Barrymore is going to be an executive producer as well, but we won’t be seeing her star on the show itself.  Major disappointment, I know.

I am very anxious to see who will be cast as the three angels!  Who do you see fitting those roles on the new Charlie’s Angels?  Drop a comment below and give us your picks!

‘Everybody’s Fine’ – Drew Barrymore Sizzles On The Red Carpet (Photos)

Drew Barrymore at the Grauman's Chinese Theatre

Drew Barrymore looked absolutely stunning on the red carpet last night (November 3rd)  at the AFI 2009 screening of ‘Everbody’s Fine’ (trailer here) at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles.  The purple dress fits her like a glove and those sexy shoes! Wow!   Drew did a great job with her hair and makeup too.  I am so glad she kept it real. Sometimes she tries to be too ‘unique’ with her fashion and that always takes away form her true beauty.  Drew is such a knockout.

The whole group looked like they were having a ball. Robert De Niro and Kate Beckinsale looked fab as well but Drew stole the spotlight for sure.  This movie is going to be great, I can’t wait to see it!
