‘Race to Witch Mountain’ Trailer with Dwayne Johnson

The new trailer for Race to Witch Mountain starring Dwayne Johnson is here.

I have to hand it to Disney, they really know how to bring back old concepts and ideas to make money. I was on the set of this movie for a couple of days during the shoot, seems like it might be pretty good for a kids movie.

Dwayne Johnson to Rock ‘Tomorrowland’

Dwayne Johnson is Disney’s new favorite guy.

After turning the theme park ride “Pirates of the Caribbean” into a blockbuster film trilogy, Disney is circling an entire segment of its theme park — Tomorrowland — as inspiration for a space movie that will star Dwayne Johnson.

The studio has set scribes Jon Lucas and Scott Moore to draft an epic-sized action adventure set in space. The film is being designed as a vehicle for Johnson, who starred for the studio in family hit “The Game Plan” and most recently completed “Race to Witch Mountain.”

Disney denies the film has been titled “Tomorrowland” or is dedicated to the park’s section, a futuristic area of the Magic Kingdom that includes such attractions as Space Mountain. The studio called the nascent project an original script.

Sounds like it could be something interesting. This one is going to take a while though, space movie = CGI, CGI = years of production.

The Rock Loved Kissing Steve Carell

In the upcoming movie Get Smart, Steve Carell and The Rock (aka Dwayne Johnson) share an intimate moment:  Carell’s character Maxwell Smart uses a kiss to distract The Rock (Agent 23) during a fight.

Whether the original Maxwell Smart would have resorted to such measures is open for debate, but you won’t hear The Rock complaining.  He says:

“One of the skills I had to learn and become proficient in is kissing a man. I had never kissed a man. Will Smith did it in his movies, so did Jake Gyllenhaal, and I figured it was my time. So it was me and Steve Carell - fantastic.”

Now that’s a real man for you!  But I wonder if Steve Carell tried to mess with him by slipping him some tongue?  You know he probably did….
