Elizabeth Hurley and Shane Warne have gotten engaged, according to a report.

Warne, a 42 year-old Australian cricket player, had only been dating Hurley for about 10 months before deciding that it was the right time to propose yesterday.

Warne is said to have popped the question at the Old Course Hotel’s Road Hole Restaurant in Scotland in front of the VIP crowd.

The 45 year-old actress and model stepped out on Saturday afternoon with Warne and her son, Damien, wearing a large sapphire and diamond ring that is presumed to be her engagement bling.

Neither Hurley nor Warne’s reps have confirmed the engagement however both celebs have tweeted their gratitude.

“Thanks for all your congratulations. Here’s a pic of us about to go to Dunhill dinner in St Andrews.”

Hurley and her former husband, Arun Nayar, were divorced in June of this year. Warne was divorced from his wife of 10 years in 2006.

Hurley is currently starring in a multi-episode arc of Gossip Girl‘s fifth season.

The Upper East Side of Gossip Girl has never been lacking in the babe department but one new star gives the cast an added boost.

Elizabeth Hurley has signed on to a multi-episode storyline as Diana Payne, a woman who will shake up the usual players.

TVLine says Hurley’s character is “a sexy, smart, self-made media mogul and all-around force to be reckoned with. Diana’s entrance on the Upper East Side will change the lives of all our characters — including, and especially, Gossip Girl herself.”

Will Diana Payne be a new boss to Blair (Leighton Meester) or Dan (Penn Badgley) perhaps? Or embroiled in a publishing scandal with Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) and the stolen manuscript of Dan’s she passed off as her own? Even though Szohr is no longer a regular, she could be invited back for a few episodes as well.

Lots of possibilities for this character.

When season six starts up, Serena (Blake Lively) is in Los Angeles working with a film director when Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Nate (Chace Crawford) pay her a visit. Blair is behind in NYC planning her wedding to Prince Louis (Hugo Becker.)

Elizabeth Hurley is having a rough week. Hurley and her husband Arun Nayar announced their split earlier this week after rumors surfaced Liz had an affair with Australian cricket player Shane Warne.

Hurley needed a shoulder to cry on, someone who understands the pressure she must be feeling. Her ex-boyfriend Hugh Grant is who she turns to now. The two have remained very close friends although it seemed unlikely at the time when, in 1995, Grant was caught with a prostitute in his car in Los Angeles while they were a couple.

Grant was seen heading to Hurley’s home in London to spend time with Liz and her 8 year-old son Damian, whom Grant is godfather to. Hugh spent a few hours with the two as she rides out the storm of controversy.

While the two can probably never go back – they certainly were a dream couple back then. Hurley looking fabulous in her saftey pin dress on the red carpet and arm of Grant, the star of Four Weddings and a Funeral. No one could relate to her situation now the way Grant can.

Whatever the real reason behind Hurley and Nayar’s decision to split up, it is nice for her to have a loyal friend who is constant. I hope Nayar has that too.

Elizabeth Hurley and her husband of three years, Arun Nayar have separated. The model and mother confirmed the separation on twitter after reports of an affair with Australian Cricket player Shane Warne surfaced with photos and video of the two leaving a restaurant this week.  About her separation, Hurley said via the social network:

“Not a great day. For the record, my husband Arun & I separated a few months ago. Our close family & friends were aware of this.

While Liz does not elaborate on the date she and Nayar called it quits, the two were photographed at the beginning of November at an event and they were still wearing their rings.

Warne revealed on his website that he has also parted ways with his wife Simone:

“Sadly and unfortunately, Simone and I split up a while ago, our close friends and family were informed at that time It is a private matter so we did not make it public. We remain friends and will continue to be good parents.”

Followers to both stars twitter accounts have seen the two exchange tweets for a while and the duo were photographed together back in July at the Goodwood Races in the UK, where it is presumed they first met.

Elizabeth Hurley and her husband, Arun Nayar attended the Love Ball charity fundraiser last night held at the Roundhouse in North London.  Apparently you were supposed to come to this event all sexed up….

Liz was wearing a blue sari sans the cropped top that you are supposed to wear underneath it.  Flashing her ta-tas for all the world to see didn’t seem to phase her hubby or anyone else.  But, um… I am sort of wondering why this is acceptable attire?  This is a charity fundraising event, not a Playboy Mansion party.

Don’t be expecting any baby announcements from model Elizabeth Hurley and her husband Arun Nayer. Her son, Damian, whom she had with ex-boyfriend Steve Bing, has completely nixed the idea of sharing his mom with any more kids.

She said: “We’re in two minds about this. Damian doesn’t want us to add to our family under any circumstances – he wants to remain the golden prince! He says, ‘Mummy, our family is big enough!’ We toy with the idea, but we’re not sure.”

Wow, that must be difficult when your seven year old son is adamant about not adding to the family. But, I have a feeling that if Hurley and Nayer really wanted to have more children they would.  Little Damian would just have to learn to deal with it.

The beautiful Elizabeth Hurley stepped out Monday evening to attend the 10th anniversary of the Estee Lauder Companies Global Landmark Illumination Initiative to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation at Bloomingdale’s 59th Street Store . Looking radiant in pink, the actress and model has been the spokesperson for different Estee Lauder cosmetics and has been involved in the awareness campaign for over 14 years.

What is your role with The Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign?
Each October, I join Evelyn Lauder and spend the majority of my time traveling around the world raising awareness for breast health and funds for breast cancer research. We’ve visited many U.S. cities, as well as the U.K., Ireland, Amsterdam, Australia, India and Italy and reached billions of people with our awareness message. We also visit numerous retailers and do Personal Appearances because we want everyone to know that if a breast cancer is detected early, its 98% curable. Our retail partners sell our Pink Ribbon products, including Estée Lauder’s Elizabeth Hurley Lip Design Collection, which includes the Elizabeth Pink lipstick, a lip pencil and a beautiful lip gloss, to raise funds for research. The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Hurley lost her grandmother to the disease and takes the cause and finding a cure seriously. Actor Dylan McDermott was also on hand at the event and looked quite handsome.

Elizabeth Hurley proves that she’s still got it going on… in a kind of pastoral way.   She covers Tatler‘s June 2009 issue and talks about life on her farm in Gloucester.

Liz lives there nearly full time now, her hubby Arun Nayar, son Damian, four dogs, two cats, three geese, eight chickens, 49 cows, 63 sheep and 82 pigs.  Geez!  Green Acres, anyone?  From the sounds of the interview, though, she loves country life.

On whether the city or country is hotter:

I wouldn’t mind betting that there’s less sex in the city than there is in the country because it’s just well, sexier here.  If you think of London you’re more likely to think binge-drinking, mugging and competitive schooling than hotel rooms, champagne and lacy knickers. Not so in the country.

On why that is, exactly:

To me people look sexier in the country…Take builders for example. The lot who recently did my stable conversion were so gorgeous that friends from London used to travel down just to flirt with them.

On how you can tell:

Next time you go to someone’s house in the country, be sure to check out if they have warm, possibly fluffy, rugs in front of their fire.  No prizes for guessing why they’re there…I can also shyly confess to having two sheepskin rugs in front of all my fireplaces.

Shyly.  Really, Liz.  You’d never guess from the way she works the camera in the accompanying photoshoot!   I think she’s gone a bit nuts with the country-goat-sexy thing, but she still looks amazing.
