Emma Stone

The Help‘s Emma Stone totally rocked her look at the 2012 SAG Awards on Sunday.  She chose a tea-length Alexander McQueen dress with an embellished lace bodice, and gorgeous stilettos with a peep toe and an ankle strap.  She managed to be adorable and totally glam at the same time. Pardon me for gushing, but I really loved her ensemble!

Cool Girl Emma Stone For Glamour

Emma Stone is the third cover for Glamour magazine’s May issue. (Ashely Greene and Freida Pinto also get covers.)

The in-demand actress, who landed the part of Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man reboot with Andrew Garfield, talks about her Golden Globe nomination and taking her mom as her date.

Of her nomination Stone says “I didn’t expect it at all. And I got to sit next to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie [at the ceremony], so…”

“My mom was with me; she was my date. She was saying things [to them] like, “Do you have kids? Let me tell you something.” I was like, “Mom, you know they have kids. It’s Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. You are aware they have kids.” It was so awesome,” Stone said.

The 22 year-old actress says her mom helps her with sage words of wisdom.

“Oh, my Lord. She is the greatest person on earth,” she said. “She always helps me deal with things as they happen instead of planning them all out ahead of time. But that’s one of 600 billion pieces of advice she’s given me.” [Laughs.]

Emma Stone Goes Pinup For Vanity Fair Cover

Va-va-voom! Emma Stone gives the cover of the August issue of Vanity Fair her best pinup pose and it’s a darn good one.

The red-hot actress shared with the magazine about her paparazzi encounter when she discovered that some celebs do indeed call the paps for ‘candid’ shots and losing out on the Heroes cheerleader role to another:

On finding out some celebrities actually call photographers: “He stands up while I’m walking to my car and is like, ‘Hey, Emma! Listen, I’m going to delete these pics. Here’s my card,” Stone recalls of a recent encounter with a paparazzo. “‘If you ever go to the beach with your friends or walk out of your house in your pajamas, call me.’” Stone, confused, refused his card. “He’s like, ‘But I’m deleting these pictures, see?’ … These guys try to strike up a deal with you so you feel like they’re your friend. I didn’t even know that was a thing—that people would call them.”

On not ending up as a cheerleader on TV: “I could hear that, in the other room, a girl had just gone in and they were saying, ‘You are our pick … On a scale of 1 to 10 you’re an 11,’” Stone recalls, before Hayden Panettiere—who ended up with the role of Claire Bennet—walked out of the room. “I went home and just had this meltdown,” Stone says, calling the experience “rock bottom.”

Emma’s VF issue is on sale in NY and LA (and available on iPad) June 30th. For the rest of the nation, July 5th.

Revlon Names Emma Stone & Olivia Wilde As Global Brand Ambassadors

Revlon has grabbed two of the most sought-after actresses and added them to their beauty roster.

Emma Stone and Olivia Wilde have joined the cosmetics giant and will be the retailer’s latest Global Brand Ambassadors starting in 2012.

Stone, 22, says she’s proud to be added to the list of famous beauties who have endorsed the brand and stands behind the company’s legacy of breast cancer awareness.

“I have been familiar with Revlon for as long as I can remember,” Stone says in a press statement. “I vividly recall my mom wearing Revlon makeup and I remember getting to the age when I was finally able to wear Revlon myself. As a brand, it is a leader and innovator in the world of cosmetic beauty. To me, nothing is more important than inner beauty and I am so glad to be associated with a company that recognizes, supports, and positively impacts women’s issues, such as breast cancer awareness. Revlon recognizes that every woman is multifaceted and magnificent in their own way and the expression of individuality is as important to Revlon as it is to me. I’m honored to be part of the Revlon family.”

Wilde, 27, also recognizes Revlon’s commitment to women’s health issues.

I have always admired Revlon and their commitment to giving women the confidence and tools they need to feel beautiful, both inside and out,” adds Wilde. “Creatively, Revlon has never been afraid to push the envelope, which is important to me. I also love that they use their tremendous recognizability around the world to do good as one of the industry’s biggest champions of women’s health. It’s exciting to join a company with a big heart and big ideas!”

Both stars will help with Revlon’s philanthropic causes as well as be the faces for new and existing products. The ads begin launching next year but sneak peeks will hit Revlon’s Facebook and Twitter pages.

Stone and Wilde have four films between them at the box office currently. Emma is in Crazy, Stupid, Love & The Help and Wilde has The Change Up and Cowboys & Aliens in theaters nationwide.

Emma Stone At ‘The Help’ Premiere

Emma Stone poses on the red carpet at the premiere of The Help, held at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater inside The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Los Angeles on Tuesday, August 9th.

The 22 year-old looked lovely in a pale lilac dress with draped and dropped waist from the Chanel Couture Spring 2011 line. A Chanel bag and Brian Atwood heels gave her look the finishing touches.

Stone said she hoped people her age would see the film because the era which it takes place (the early 1960s) is fascinating and isn’t understood.

“I don’t know if it’s my generation or if it’s just me, but I didn’t know the levels, the depths, the intricacies,” the Crazy, Stupid, Love actress said.

“I didn’t know on a day to day basis what life was like [then]. I learned a huge amount of it through this story (even though it’s fictional) and through researching the time period more, but I really hope for my generation that they will go see this movie because I don’t know that we know as much as we should about our very recent history.”

Emma Stone Likely Joining ‘Gangster Squad’

Emma Stone is most likely joining the upcoming movie Gangster Squad starring Ryan Gosling and Sean Penn.

Stone would play Jean, a sharp-tongued siren caught in a love triangle with Gosling’s character and Penn, who portrays mobster Mickey Cohen.

I love Emma Stone, she’s one of the few stars in recent years who has the kind of charisma and humor that really draws you in. From what I’ve been told she’s completely grounded and real off-camera as well. I’ll bet Emma will be around for years to come in Hollywood, that is, if she wants to be.

“The whole film depends on my character giving it all up for her,” Gosling continued. “When she came in the room, it all made sense. Show me someone that wouldn’t give it all up for Emma Stone, and I’ll show you a liar.”
