First Look: ‘Jack the Giant Killer’ Starring Ewan McGregor (Images)

Here are the first images of Ewan McGregor on the set of the upcoming film Jack the Giant Killer from director Bryan Singer.

When a princess is kidnapped, a long-standing peace between men and giants becomes threatened, and a young farmer is given an opportunity to lead a dangerous expedition to the giant kingdom to rescue her.

These images reveal a different kind of movie than I was imagining. It looks much more like a medieval times story than a fantasy story. Bryan Singer is a great director so I have a lot of faith in this movie coming out well. McGregor is always good too, he’s always passionate in his roles. Look for this movie in theaters June 15th, 2012.

Ewan McGregor: “I’m Naked Quite A Lot Of The Time”

Ewan McGregor At the 'Men Who Stare At Goats' Premiere

Don’t ever accuse Ewan McGregor of being uptight.  The actor spoke frankly with Jeanne Wolfe of Parade this week – and revealed his penchant for nudity and his comfort with sex scenes.

On being naked on screen… and in real life:

“I’ve never understood actors who have rules against nudity. I wouldn’t consider myself an actor if I had a list of things I won’t do. In my everyday life, I’m naked quite a lot of the time. And yet, the second we put it onscreen everybody has a heart attack. I really don’t get it. I’m not an exhibitionist. I’m just very comfortable being naked in movies because I think and I believe that movies reflect real life. I never thought that it was gratuitous.”

On his wife’s reaction to his sex scenes:

“I have done quite a few sex scenes in my career. But my wife has always been okay with them except when she was pregnant with our first daughter, Clara, and I went off to do the sex scene in Trainspotting. Hormonally, she was all over the place. We had a massive fight about it. But that’s the only time it’s ever been an issue. Look, it’s a weird situation to be seeing your partner in an emotional and sexual embrace with someone else in front of an audience of people. But it’s my job. And, ultimately, she’s completely cool with it.”

Ewan stars in Roman Polanski‘s new movie, The Ghost Writer.

Roman Polanski’s ‘Ghost Writer’ Trailer Looks Intriguing

The Ghost Writer Poster

Here’s the fresh new trailer for the upcoming Roman Polanski film The Ghost Writer starring Ewan McGregor, Pierce Brosnan and Kim Cattrall.

This looks like it’s going to be a good movie, but I pretty much expect it to be, given it’s a Roman Polanski film. It’s strange seeing Kim Cattrall in this trailer with the accent, she does it so well it didn’t even click right away that it was her.

Polanski may be constantly embroiled in legal turmoil, but he always seems to pull off great films. I’m sure The Ghost Writer will be yet another good one to add to his list.
