Blake Lively covers the summer edition of Bullett magazine and the fashion-conscious gal looks stunning.

The 24 year-old will start filming the final season of the hit CW show Gossip Girl this summer and Blake makes it plain that she’s ready for bigger and better things.

“I think the best way to describe it is like someone who really enjoyed high school, and is like, I’m a senior and I can’t wait for the next thing! ’Gossip Girl’ was so great, but what’s the next challenge in life? Because, you know, six years is a long time,” Lively confessed.

“And as an actor who plays a caricature of myself on the show, I don’t think I’d say, watch ‘Gossip Girl’ for my best quality of work. But I am very lucky to have had that experience.”

Lively will take a dark turn from her GG gal Serena van der Woodsen in Savages, the Oliver Stone film where she plays a spoiled girl, kidnapped and tortured by a drug kingpin when her pot- dealing boyfriends (yes plural) won’t play ball with the cartel.

“I think it’s really hard for people to digest that these privileged kids are in a three-way relationship,” she said. “Your heroes are all sleeping with each other, but they’re also in love. It’s very easy to dislike them, so when my character gets kidnapped, it’s like, ‘Well, good riddance!’ My greatest challenge was to make her life worthy of saving, to find the heart in this story.”

Stone noted how different this role was for Blake and how much of a change it would be for fans of her Gossip Girl alter-ego.

“A lot of it—the sex, violence, and drugs—was probably scary and challenging for Blake, who seems like she comes from a nice family. It ain’t a Disney World ride and it certainly ain’t the Upper East Side.”

Filming for Gossip Girl got under way at the end of last week in New York City on a sunshine filled day and that wasn’t the only bright spot to light up the streets.

Leighton Meester donned a yellow ruffled top and a skirt with citrus print of oranges and lemons from Stella McCartney for her return to her Blair Waldorf character.

The costumer for the show added punches of orange with a Riki Rosetta handbag and Brian Atwood pumps. Gold accessories including bangle bracelets and a Harry Wintson canary ring finish off the pricy fashion her fashion-conscious (and mega rich) character wore.

The Upper East Side of Gossip Girl has never been lacking in the babe department but one new star gives the cast an added boost.

Elizabeth Hurley has signed on to a multi-episode storyline as Diana Payne, a woman who will shake up the usual players.

TVLine says Hurley’s character is “a sexy, smart, self-made media mogul and all-around force to be reckoned with. Diana’s entrance on the Upper East Side will change the lives of all our characters — including, and especially, Gossip Girl herself.”

Will Diana Payne be a new boss to Blair (Leighton Meester) or Dan (Penn Badgley) perhaps? Or embroiled in a publishing scandal with Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) and the stolen manuscript of Dan’s she passed off as her own? Even though Szohr is no longer a regular, she could be invited back for a few episodes as well.

Lots of possibilities for this character.

When season six starts up, Serena (Blake Lively) is in Los Angeles working with a film director when Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Nate (Chace Crawford) pay her a visit. Blair is behind in NYC planning her wedding to Prince Louis (Hugo Becker.)

Jessica Szohr and Taylor Momsen are not returning to Gossip Girl as series regulars next season.

Szohr’s Vanessa and Momsen’s Jenny have had little to do this season and TVLine is reporting both actresses will not return except in possible guest starring episodes.

Blake Lively, Ed Westwick, Leighton Meester, Chace Crawford and Penn Badgely are returning and new addition Kaylee DeFer (Serena’s cousin Charlie) will be a regular for season 5.

Momsen is currently touring and promoting with her band The Pretty Reckless and has said repeatedly she is happier with her music career than acting.

Szohr has several big screen projects coming up including the September comedy I Don’t Know How She Does It with Sarah Jessica Parker, Pierce Brosnan and Olivia Munn.

Blake Lively took the 2011 CinemaCon Breakthrough Performer of the Year at the event held in Las Vegas’ Caesars Palace at Pure nightclub for her role in the Ben Affleck movie, The Town.

The 23 year-old actress chose a red silk organza dress with embroidery, an open back and tulle ruffled skirt from Marchesa with Brian Atwood heels for the ceremony.

Lively told reporters that her role in The Green Lantern has her bodyguard worried about fanboys.

“My bodyguard, who is six-seven and very serious and doesn’t speak much, pulled me aside — I thought it was a security matter,” the Gossip Girl star shared.

“He said. ‘You have to be sure your hair is brown.’ I said, ‘Yeah, I would assume so but we haven’t done it.’ He said, ‘Please trust me, make your hair brown. I don’t want the responsibility of fan boys attacking you at a convention,’” Lively said.

Ed Westwick made a couple of fans very happy at a meet and greet for the 2011 Formula 1 Qantas Australia Grand Prix at Albert Park in Melbourne on Friday, March 25th.

The Chalet Girl star got a kiss from two lucky girls as he posed for pictures before heading off to the race.

Westwick, 23, was said to not be so sociable the night before at the GP 28 party.

The actor was with his nephew, Tom Selwood, when approached by local media to talk about his time down under. According to the Herald Sun, the Gossip Girl star copped a Chuck Bass attitude and left reporters on a sour note.

“Westwick sneered at media and quickly ushered his young and amiable Aussie relative away. “We’re going to have a good weekend,” Westwick snarled as he sauntered off,” the report said.

Well, everyone can have a bad day and he seems to have made an appropriate attitude adjustment, but then, being kissed by a couple of attractive young ladies could have helped his process.

Gossip Girl is new tonight with episode 4.14 “Panic Roommate.” Last week’s episode saw Dan sabotage Blair at W (after he assumed she would do the same to him,) only to confess later when he realized how badly Blair wanted the internship and to repair their friendship. But things aren’t going smoothly for Miss Waldorf. It seems Blair is in need of help. Here is the official synopsis:

FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE PERFORMS / ANDREW MCCARTHY DIRECTS — Blair (Leighton Meester) enlists Nate’s (Chace Crawford) help to win over her high-strung boss, Epperly (guest star Caitlin Fitzgerald), at W Magazine. Jessica Szohr is red hot for SoBe Lifewater’s latest skinsuit campaign.

The Gossip Girl actress bared all – almost, except for the strategic body paint of lizard scales on the actress’ lithe body. Szohr is the second actress to have her body revealed for the beverage. Twilight’s Ashley Greene was the inaugural model for the first sexy photo shoot (see Ashley’s photos here.)

Greene had some sage advice for the Pirahna 3-D starlet, catch up on sleep while they work their magic.

“She warned me that it takes a very long time, and it was 11 hours,” Jessica said of the body-painting process. “[Ashley] goes, ‘Don’t worry. When you lay down you can take naps and all that.’ And I certainly did.’”

Szohr was pleased with the final results adding that “they did it so tastefully and it was beautifully done.”
