Here’s the trailer for the upcoming horror film Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark starring Katie Holmes and Guy Pearce.

This movie definitely doesn’t look original, but it looks creepy none the less. With Guillermo del Toro‘s name attached as producer, it’s almost guaranteed to be good. The performances  seem solid, and that’s saying a lot for a movie with a child as the main character. This one will be in theaters on August 26th, 2011.

Actor Guy Pearce has joined the cast of the upcoming thriller Hungry Rabbit Jumps.

Guy Pearce has signed on to star opposite Nicolas Cage and January Jones in the dramatic thriller “Hungry Rabbit Jumps” for Endgame Entertainment. Roger Donaldson (“The Bank Job”) is directing.

Story centers on a man who becomes entangled with an underground vigilante organization after his wife (Jones) is the victim of a brutal crime.

Pearce adds a high level of quality to any movie he performs in, so I’m already looking forward to this one more. This a very capable cast working with a great director in this genre, so I have high hopes.
