The new Sherlock Holmes film directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Robert Downey Jr. will be out on Christmas Day 2009. �

On Wednesday, Warner Bros. said it was delaying the release of�Guy Ritchie’s Robert Downey Jr.-Jude Law�topliner “Sherlock Holmes” from Nov. 13 to Dec. 25.

“Sherlock” had been set to open Nov. 20, but then�Summit Entertainmentannounced it would bow�”Twilight”�sequel “New Moon” on that date.

Not a major delay and this film seems like it would be a good Christmas release anyway.

Guy Ritchie has a fond nickname for his ex-wife, Madonna.� Apparently even before they divorced, he was referring to her as “It.”� The Sun UK reported:

A source revealed: �Guy will say, �Oh, It�s in a bad mood today�.

How utterly appropriate!� She is so incredibly freaky looking, and she acts like a she-demon, so I think Guy has hit the nail on the head.

By the way, Madonna has won temporary custody of their sons, Rocco and David, and is now residing with them in New York.� A follow-up hearing is scheduled for next month.

So the latest buzz about Guy Ritchie‘s Sherlock Holmes movie is intriguing:� it seems that Guy is playing up the homoerotic aspects of the relationship between Holmes and Watson.� Sir Arthur Conan Doyle‘s famous detective

is seen SHARING A BED with his dear, dear, Dr Watson and also enjoying some man-to-man wrestling with his close chum.

Robert Downey Jr., who plays Sherlock Holmes, says:

�We�re two men who happen to be room-mates, wrestle a lot and share a bed. It�s badass.�

Jude Law, who plays Watson, further explains in a less titillating way:

�Guy wanted to make this about the relationship between Watson and Holmes. They�re both mean and complicated.�

OK, I admit that sounds kind of gay, but what’s the big deal?� And keep in mind, this movie is set probably 100+ years ago?� Maybe at the time it was more OK for guys to share a bed and wrestle a lot?�� We’ll just have to wait and see for ourselves when the movie is released in November.

Is the set of�Sherlock Holmes�starring Robert Downey Jr. cursed?�

Yesterday, he (Robert Downey Jr.) and�JUDE LAW, 35 � who plays his sidekick Dr Watson � had to flee the set with Ritchie when a gas tanker exploded in a fireball.

The Iron Man actor, 43, was knocked unconscious by 25-stone co-star�ROBERT MAILLET�during a fight scene.�Downey Jr � who plays the famous detective � was �out cold� for six seconds and �drooling blood� before medics could bring him round.�A nurse on set at Chatham dockyard in Kent gave him six stitches in his mouth.

A source said: �Robert was accidentally caught on the chin by a thundering hook. He went flying and was out cold.��He didn�t want to go to hospital and kept trying to get up. He�s a trooper. But there have been lots of other problems too.�

The source added: �The crew have started joking about the curse of Sherlock Holmes.�

Not cursed, just unfortunate. Hopefully the mishaps don’t continue. I want this movie to be a success.�

These never seen before pictures of Madonna and Guy Ritchie‘s wedding were released in a UK newspaper over the weekend. They had always kept these pictures a secret, but since the marriage is over I guess there is no reason to keep them secret anymore. I wonder who was the one who brought them to the tabloids?

Madonna and Guy were married on December 20, 2000. (How old do these pictures look!!) Madonna wore a $40,000 (appr US funds) dress designed by her by then maid of honor Stella McCartney and wearing a $340,000 (appr US funds) tiara. Guests included Sting and Trudy Styler (who was the one who introduced the two of them together), Gwyneth Paltrow, Jason Statham and Matthew Vaughn.

It seems bittersweet to finally get to see the photos when they aren’t even together anymore.

I can’t believe these rumors are true. Madonna and Guy Ritchie are getting a divorce, and the reps have confirmed it. The couple has been fighting rumors for months and now have finally come out with a statement.

The statement issued on Wednesday read: “Madonna and Guy Ritchie have agreed to divorce after seven and a half years of marriage, their representatives confirmed today. “They have both requested that the media maintain respect for their family at this difficult time. A final settlement has not been agreed upon yet.”

Now people can leave them alone now that the statement has been issued. The couple has one child together, Rocco, and adopted, David, which was just finalized in May. Madonna also has another child, Lourdes, from a previous relationship.

UPDATE: I just saw this at I’m Not Obsessed and I had to share it...A-Rod and Madonna are an item!

She and the New York Yankees slugger “are definitely romantic.”

“Guy is not involved in this equation,” the insider tells Usmagazine.com. “With or without A-Rod, Madonna and Guy haven’t been ‘together’ for over a year – they have been privately separated. Madonna, however, wanted to finish her world tour before divorcing.”

“A-Rod and Madonna are more involved than ever. Alex has really missed spending time with Madonna. However, he understands the position Madonna’s in.”

This is getting to be an interesting story!

The new Guy Ritchie directed film Sherlock Holmes is going into production.�

Robert Downey Jr.�brings the legendary detective to life as he has never been portrayed before. Jude Law stars as Holmes’ trusted colleague, Watson, a doctor and war veteran who is a formidable ally for Sherlock Holmes. Rachel McAdams stars as Irene Adler, the only woman ever to have bested Holmes and who has maintained a tempestuous relationship with the detective. Mark Strong stars as their mysterious new adversary, Blackwood. Kelly Reilly will play Watson’s love interest, Mary.

This one is based on the comic book not directly with the books. With Ritchie at the helm and Downey Jr. as Holmes, I think we are in for a treat.�
