Hailee Steinfeld Is Tresspassing For Miu Miu

Hailee Steinfeld hangs out near a no trespassing sign in her first ad for Miu Miu.

The ad campaign, shot by Bruce Weber, gives a wink and a nod in it’s setting to the 14 year-old actress’ break out role True Grit with rusty railroad tracks in the background. The outdoor setting, bright sunlight and somber palette look like they came right from the movie.

Steinfeld is modeling the line’s Fall/Winter 2011 look inspired by the 1940s and Hailee’s hair is styled with a modern take on the look of the era.

The black wool dress with bird print, large velvet bag and platform sandals almost make you forget how young she is.

Steinfeld wore quite a few dresses from the fashion label during awards show season although landing the contract was quite a surprise for many in the fashion industry because of her age.

It has never been a question of how good she looks in the clothes, but how well would she sell it. Miu Miu is the younger version of Prada. Now that you’ve seen the ad – what do you think?

Douglas Booth and Hailee Steinfeld are the New ‘Romeo and Juliet’

Douglas Booth and Hailee Steinfeld are set to star in the upcoming remake Romeo and Juliet.

She’s (Steinfeld) playing Juliet, and Holly Hunter, Ed Westwick and Kodi Smit-McPhee are also set for roles. Now Douglas Booth (Pillars of the Earth, the upcoming Great Expectations) will be her Romeo.

This isn’t exciting news to me in any way, another Romeo and Juliet movie couldn’t fall lower on my interest meter. I am glad Hailee Steinfeld is getting work, she was great in True Grit. Hopefully they spin the story in some way new for this remake, but don’t hold your breath.

Hailee Steinfeld from ‘True Grit’ Gets ‘Forgotten’

The 14 year old Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld is set to play the lead role in the upcoming film Forgotten.

Paramount Pictures has just closed a deal for screen rights to Forgotten, a novel by Cat Patrick that will be published by Little Brown in June. The book will be crafted as a star vehicle for the 14-year old Steinfeld, with Fake Empire’s Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage producing…

…Steinfeld will play London Lane, a 16-year old whose memory is erased at 4:33 every night. The following morning, all she can remember are events from her future.

She was great in True Grit, definitely deserving of the nomination. I’m looking forward to seeing how she does in a story set in modern times instead of the old west. Forgotten has one of those story-lines that is pretty far out there, hopefully it can come together as a cohesive story.
