Miley Cyrus‘ famous Hannah Montana audition tape is going to air tonight at 7:00 p.m. on Barbara Walters‘ pre-Oscar special.

Miley Cyrus may have a No. 1 album, a sold-out tour, a hit movie, and and a spot as a presenter on this Sunday night’s Oscar telecast, but some would say you haven’t made it until you’re one of the subjects on Barbara Walters pre-Oscar special.

Highlights of Miley’s portion of the special include a peek at her original audition tape for the Disney series Hannah Montana, plus her dad Billy Ray’s audition tape for his role as her father on the series. Among the interview topics, Miley explains to Barbara why she believes she’ll never be the train-wreck other young stars in Hollywood have become.
“Some people don’t have a family to fall back on like I have,” says Miley. “And faith …keeps me strong.”

UsWeekly is reporting that  Miley Cyrus has legally changed her name from Destiny Hope Cyrus to Miley Ray Cyrus. She said she’s been called Miley since she was a little girl, and it’s the name she’s always used. She used the name Ray to pay homage to her one-hit-wonder daddy, Billy Ray Cyrus.  Someone better call P Diddy, someone else has identity crisis complex!

I can understand someone not liking Hannah Montana, but this is a bit much, don’t you think?  Reports have surfaced that a 16-year-old boy has been charged with planning to take over and crash a jetliner into a Miley Cyrus concert in Louisiana.

Reports surfaced last night that the FBI had charged a 16-year-old boy for planning to take over and crash a jetliner into a Hannah/Miley concert in progress in Louisiana. He was found with handcuffs, duct tape and rope in his carry-on.However, the FBI says it has ”no information on whether the concert may have been targeted as part of the plot.”

The timing of the event doesn’t match up either, considering the boy was arrested at the airport on Tuesday and the Louisiana Cajundome concert isn’t taking place until tonight.

So, it seems Hannah Montana’s perpetual perkiness had nothing to do with this boy’s screwy mental state.

Or (and please forgive our love of conspiracy theories) Disney already got to the boy in its elaborate underground tunnel system and pressured him into changing the details. No one messes with Disney’s most prized possession and lives to tell about it.

Thankfully, no Jonas Brothers were harmed in this attempt.

I watched Miley Cyrus sing last night on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve show, and it was the first time I had seen her perform. I must say, I was expecting her to be all whiny and obnoxious, and I was surprised at how good she really was. Oh God, I’ve totally just ruined all my indie street cred, haven’t I? Let me go put In Rainbows on repeat for awhile, so I can deny I ever just said that.

Ever since I first heard that “SOS” song by The Jonas Brothers, I have been unable to get that song out of my head. I wonder if there’s some sort of subliminal message in it that makes people do crazy things, like the 9-year-old girl and 5-year-old boy who broke into a house with a credit card and stole their CD. Wait, 9 and 5? Breaking and entering? That’s hard! That sounds like something Britney would put her kids up to.

Local police said it was a classic holiday Grinch tale: A home broken into on Christmas Eve, and wrapped presents stolen off a kitchen table.

But police now say the Grinch was two little kids: a 9-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy.

South Brunswick police Detective Jim Ryan said yesterday that the kids used a Blockbuster gift card to pick the lock on the back door of a home a block away.

They then took about $200 in wrapped presents that were located on a kitchen table, including Hannah Montana and Jonas Brothers CDs.

The couple who lived in the home returned from some Christmas Eve shopping to find the house broken into, and the presents, intended for a niece, gone, Ryan said.

Eventually, one of the children’s relatives, who also lived in the neighborhood, spoke with the couple and realized the gifts that had been taken matched some mysterious extra presents that the children appeared to received on Christmas.

The relative contacted the children’s mother, who got the truth out of them on Wednesday, and then contacted police.

Ryan said he didn’t immediately know why the young children would go to such lengths to get presents. He said charges weren’t planned against the kids.

“A 9- and 5-year-old would never be on our suspect list. For a burglary? Maybe for taking a bike or something like that, but not for a burglary,” Ryan said.

The names of the children were not released since they are underage.

We already know what crazy things people will do to get their hands on Hannah Montana, but I thought Jonas Brothers fans were wholesome!

Page Six is reporting that tween cuties Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana) and Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers have split!

The two, who are on tour together, tried to keep their relationship secret, but Cyrus gave him a kiss on the cheek onstage during one concert. “They just broke up, but not many people even knew they were going out,” said an insider. Cyrus’ rep said, “We do not comment on our client’s personal life.”

Perhaps it had something to do with Miley’s pseudo-lesbian photos?

Miley Cyrus, aka the hit teen sensation Hannah Montana, is adding fourteen more dates to her tour in response to the demand for tickets.

There were talks about Hannah Montana Fan Club members banding together to sue the Hannah Montana Fan Club over not providing the members priority over non-members when tickets went on sale.

The Hannah Montana Fan Club Members will have first dibs on the tickets for the concert in Jacksonville, Florida, January 7th, that will go on sale Friday at 10am, and at 12pm on Saturday for non-members.

Miley Cyrus, the 14 year old star of Disney’s hit show Hannah Montana, is not not not pregnant. Apparently a mock interview was done on a blog and began circulating on the internet.

The rumors began circulating when a blog posted a mock interview with the teen star, supposedly given to J-14 magazine, saying she was expecting a baby. J-14 has also posted a denial on its Web site saying, “Despite Internet rumors, J-14 NEVER reported that Miley Cyrus is pregnant.”

I’m sure there were lawyers and Disney exes in a panic. Sad thing is, Disney stars are hardly ever as wholesome as they want you to believe. Miley seems to be the anti-Britney. Let’s hope she stays that way.
