Hannah Montana The Movie blasted into first place over the Easter weekend (Apr 10 – 12) making it the second biggest Easter weekend opening ever after Scary Movie 4. The new comedy Observe and Report landed at #4. Fast & Furious held strong at #2 with Monsters vs. Aliens dropping to #3. And finally, Dragonball Evolution edged onto the top ten at #8.

Good grief.� Are you kidding me?� I guess it was only a matter of time before someone had to lay claim to the money maker “Hannah Montana“.� Miley Cyrus is such a mega star.� Everyone wants a piece of the action.

TMZ has the guy’s claims here:

Richard Fronduto filed a lawsuit today in L.A. County Superior Court, claiming he wrote a script in 1990 called “The Secret Life of Sindi” which eventually became “The Family Business.”

Fronduto claims his agent pitched his work to Disney and that Disney liked it so much they asked him to turn his script into a two-hour pilot. In short, he claims he’s the brainchild for what became “Hannah Montana.”

Fronduto claims numerous similarities between his script and “Montana.” Both feature a 13-to-14-year-old middle class American girl who leads a double life as an ordinary teen and successful pop star. Both feature a single parent who acts as her alter ego’s manager. And both have a best friend “with whom sus cyrhe shares her secrets.” Doesn’t that sound like half the Disney shows? We’re just sayin’ …

Fronduto is suing for damages as well as a “Created by” credit on all future publications and broadcasts of “Hannah Montana.”

Amazing how it took this long for him to realize he had been knocked off.� What a load of crap.� I hope he gets laughed out of court.� What a schmuck.

Several sources reported yesterday that Cindy Crawford prohibits her daughter Kaya from watching Hannah Montana on TV.� She was quoted as saying:

“I love ‘Hannah Montana,’ but (my daughter) learns to be sassy from that show. I’ll say to her, ‘I don’t let anyone talk to me like that. I’ll certainly not take it from a 7-year-old in my own house.’”

However, Crawford’s rep denies the statement.

“I don’t know where this quote came from. It doesn’t sound like Cindy,” the rep said. “I just spoke to Cindy, and she said that she is a fan of ‘Hannah Montana,’ and she has taken her daughter to multiple shows.”

It’s fine to deny the comment, but it’s a perfectly legitimate statement.� ‘Sassy’ is the best word in the dictionary to describe Miley Cyrus‘ character on the show.� She’s always saying, “Daddy say what?”� I’m glad my kids have outgrown it finally!

Hannah Montana fans have gotten to watch star Cody Linley on Dancing with the Stars all season, but on November 25, they get the real deal. Miley Cyrus- Hannah Montana herself- will be performing “Fly on the Wall” at the seventh season finale.

Miley’s dad Billy Ray Cyrus was a contstant on the show in 2007 and came in 5th place.

Seventeen year old pop star JoJo – Joanna Lavesque – was very nearly Hannah Montana. She was Disney’s first choice to play the campy-annoying, dual-life loving teen singer, but she turned it down.

JoJo says it was a good decision.

“No regrets. No regrets at all,” JoJo tells Extra. “Yeah, they [Disney] offered me the role…[But] it’s not really what I see for myself.”

You know, it probably was better for her.� She gets to play a hard-living party girl in True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet instead of a spastic teenager who just can’t keep her thinly-veiled dual life a secret.�� She could pose in a bedsheet and leak Myspace underwear pictures all she wants and no one would get that mad.� And I bet she is never required to utter the line “Sweet niblets!”

High winds caused an accident on the set of the Hannah Montana movie that knocked over a Ferris wheel full of extras and “injuring several of them,” reports People. 15-year-old star Miley Cyrus had just finished filming a scene right next to the ferris wheel shortly before the mishap.

“During a break in the filming of Hannah Montana: The Movie, a minor accident occurred involving a piece of production equipment,” Disney said in a statement confirming the accident. “Fortunately, there were only a few minor injuries. Medical personnel have treated the extras and crew involved. None of the cast was on the set. Filming has resumed.”

Neither Miley nor dad Billy Ray Cyrus were on the set at the time.

UsWeekly is reporting that� Miley Cyrus has legally changed her name from Destiny Hope Cyrus to Miley Ray Cyrus. She said she’s been called Miley since she was a little girl, and it’s the name she’s always used. She used the name Ray to pay homage to her one-hit-wonder daddy, Billy Ray Cyrus.� Someone better call P Diddy, someone else has identity crisis complex!

I can understand someone not liking Hannah Montana, but this is a bit much, don’t you think?� Reports have surfaced that a 16-year-old boy has been charged with planning to take over and crash a jetliner into a Miley Cyrus concert in Louisiana.

Reports surfaced last night that the FBI had charged a 16-year-old boy for planning to take over and crash a jetliner into a Hannah/Miley concert in progress in Louisiana. He was found with handcuffs, duct tape and�rope in his carry-on.However, the FBI says�it has�”no information on whether the concert may have been targeted as part of the plot.”

The timing of the event doesn’t match up either, considering the boy was arrested at the airport on Tuesday and the Louisiana�Cajundome concert isn’t taking place until�tonight.

So, it seems Hannah Montana’s perpetual perkiness had nothing to do with this boy’s screwy mental state.

Or (and please forgive our love of�conspiracy theories) Disney already got to the boy in its elaborate underground tunnel system and pressured him into changing the details. No one messes with Disney’s most prized possession and lives to tell about it.

Thankfully, no Jonas Brothers were harmed in this attempt.
