A wax figure of Zac Efron (as Troy Bolton from High School Musical) is now on display at Madame Tussaud’s in Times Square.

This is one of the scariest, not to mention gayest, wax figures I have ever seen.  But as you can see in the pics below, that doesn’t stop the ladies from lovin’ all over fake Zac.

I used to think that you needed to be older, or more famous, to have a wax figure made of you.  Apparently that is not the case… it seems that they’ll make a wax figure of any old C or D lister and put it in any wax museum that has a patch of floor to spare.

High School Musical fans are going to be sorely disappointed when they hear these plans for the latest installment of the mega hit.

Vanessa Hudgens, Zac Efron, and Corbin Bleu are all out. Yep. The stars are finished with the musical and there will be a whole new cast. Do they actually think that it will fly? Apparently so much so that they will be taking it straight to the Disney Channel in 2010 as a Disney Channel Original Movie. Sure there will be some die hard fans that will watch no matter what. But, I think it’s safe to assume this one will crash and burn.

The movie, which involves a classic love triangle set against the cross-town school rivalry between the East High Wildcats and the West High Knights, will begin production later this year.

“The High School Musical trilogy introduced a new generation to the celebrated genre of movie musicals. In crafting this next iteration, we’ve challenged the entire creative team to raise the bar again — and create something truly worthy of this extraordinary global phenomenon,” Gary Marsh, president of Disney Channels Worldwide, said in a statement.

The screenwriter of the next installment, Peter Barsocchini, wrote each of the first three movies in the franchise.

Ashley Tisdale- star of the High School Musical movie series- is the new bikini-clad cover girl for Shape magazine.

“I’ve found I’m definitely eating better since I started working out more rigorously,” she says. “It kind of happened naturally. I don’t really crave junk food that often now.”

And why does she love working out so much now?

The actress says that a big motivator for her in the gym now is her personal trainer, Christopher Hebert, with whom she’s been working with for about eight months. “He’s cute, which makes it fun, and he never lets our exercise session get boring.”

Well, whatever works I guess. Her January 2009 issue hits stands December 29.

It’s just a little under two months before High School Musical 3: Senior Year hits theaters. Are you ready? If you’re not, let Sharpay (Ashley Tisdale) and Ryan (Lucas Grabeel) whet your appetite with the first single from the movie, “I Want It All.”

I’m not too proud to admit that I think Ashley Tisdale is pretty talented, for the kind of acting she does. She has something of the screwball comedienne of the 1930s and 1940s about her. And I guess for someone like that, Disney is just about the only place for her to thrive. It will be interesting to see what she does with herself and her career post-HSM.

Disney has pulled a line of High School Musical 2 themed underwear marketed at tweens after British parents complained about them.

The undies bore the slogan “Dive In.”   Go ahead, take a minute - I had to pick my jaw up off the floor too.  No, no, says Disney, they didn’t mean it THAT way!  They were referencing the swimming pool scene from HSM2, where “Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens sing about their love and dance in and around a swimming pool at the country club where both of their characters work during the summer.”

Disney representatives said,

“Unfortunately, an oversight was made and the text on the underwear was used out context. This product will not be part of any forthcoming collections and the remaining product has been removed from shelves.”

Some oversight!  I can’t believe that anyone at Disney is that naive.  Some lackey probably threw that idea in as a joke, never believing that it would actually get made.

I’m wondering though, what they’re going to end up doing with the pulled products?  How much you want to bet they end up being donated to an orphanage in some third world country where Disney hopes they’ll never ever be found by the media?

High School Musical stars Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale get a complete grease makeover and revive the greasy life style for a new special spread in Elle magazine.

Ashley Tisdale on why it took two entire films for Troy Bolton (Efron) and Gabriella Montez (Hudgens) to finally lock lips on-screen:
“The Disney Channel has done movies where the guy and girl kiss, but Kenny thought it would be really nice if you didn’t actually see that. It left fans saying, ‘Wait, we have to see them kiss!’?”

Zac Efron on whose steps he would like to follow:
“Leonardo DiCaprio. He did it flawlessly, starting out with a teen audience and making the transition.”

Although some rumors say their relationship is just a publicity stunt, Zac and Vanessa have been dating forever and you can see the love between them in the photo shoot. Ashley looks fantastic as always and even her cute dog Maui looks super stylish.

Disney wants to make sure everyone is good and hyped up for High School Musical 3: Senior Year. The movie releases on October 24, and it looks like more of the same candy-coated pabulum that bears no resemblance whatsoever to my high school experience, at least.

Based on these new posters, their promo theme can be summed up as “cheesy-ass scrapbook.” Leave it to Disney to fabricate entire realities.

High School Musical co-star Ashley Tisdale is home recuperating from rhinoplasty surgery. The Disney musical star claims to have had a deviated septum that needed repairing.

“Growing up I always knew I had a deviated septum on the right side of my nose, which caused trouble breathing,” a bandaged Tisdale told PEOPLE on Monday from her Los Angeles home. “The older I got, the worse it got. I went to get it checked out, and the doctor told me the septum was 80 percent deviated and that I had two small fractures on my nose.”

She goes on to say that this was done for health reasons and said she is coming forward about the surgery to be honest with her fans, “because my fans are everything to me.”

The Disney-designed, High School Musical twosome, Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron, were out strolling hand in hand at the Hollywood Palladium for Frederick’s of Hollywood 2008 Fashion Show.

The annual show has many celebrities in attendance to help out the charity Clothes Off Our Backs. A corset designed by Charlize Theron netted $18,000 for actress Jane Kaczmarek’s organization last year.

Jessica Simpson and hair guru pal Ken Paves were also in attendance, along with Jermaine Dupri, Janet Jackson and Ian Ziering.

Nude photos catipulted Vanessa Hudgens of High School Musical to another level of fame and co-star Ashley Tisdale is peeved. Tisdale, 22, is currently touring malls in the US to promote her latest album, while Hudgens has been picked up as Skechers newest celebrity shill.

It’s no coincidence that around the time of the naked photo leak, that internationally known shoe brand Skechers took notice and signed Vanessa, 18, (HSM’s Gabriella Montez) to a one-year deal as their ad pitch woman, a deal reportedly worth around $1 million. Former Skechers ad ladies include, Ashlee Simpson, Carrie Underwood and Britney Spears.

Add to that, Vanessa is dating the hotter than hot Zac Efron, 19, (HSM’s Troy Bolton) which guarantees her exposure in the tabloids and tabloid entertainment shows week after week!

Tisdale is convinced that this was a ploy, the pictures being leaked were not an accident. Duh. Will Tisdale ’accidentally’ star in something? You know, just to up her ‘profile.’
