Despite rumors that Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri had reconciled, Janet has made it clear that they are not together. During a radio interview, Ms. Jackson kept referring to Dupri as her “ex”.  She did include him on a short list of her ex-es that she does stay in touch with, though.

“I’m not the type of girl that stays in touch with your ex like that,” said the 43-year-old.

“Jermaine is one of my best friends,” she added in a sleepy voice. “I love him to death. We’re still connected. We’re still good friends. We still talk.

“We’re there for one another.

“I think it will remain that way for the rest of my life.”

That’s sweet to think about. But how many people actually stay friends with an ex?

I guess if they can do it, good for them.

ABC’s Robin Roberts did an exclusive interview with Janet Jackson that is set to air on Wednesday (November 18) and is promising to be an emotional one.

Aside from the healing process that Janet shares with Robin, she points the finger at Dr. Conrad Murray.  Janet blames Murray for her brother, Michael Jackson’s death.

“He was the one that was administering … I think he is responsible.”

Janet confides on how hard this time has been for her,

“It’s been a tough year … You have your days where it’s just really — it’s hard to believe. And a day doesn’t go by that I don’t think about him.”

Even now, Janet is has a hard time believing that MJ is gone, that this has really happened,

“It just didn’t ring true to me. It felt like a dream. It’s still so difficult for me to believe. It’s, you know, you have to accept what is. But it’s hard. You have to move on with your life. You have to accept what is and I understand that.”

Janet Jackson is covering the October 2009 issue of Harper’s Bazaar.  In it she opens up about how she is dealing with the loss of her brother, Michael Jackson.

Janet Jackson hasn’t watched television since her brother Michael died suddenly in Los Angeles on June 25. She has blocked herself off completely from the hysterical media coverage of his death — who did it, what did it. “It will drive you crazy,” she says. “People can have rhinoceros skin, but there’s a point when something’s going to hurt you. Not everyone is stone, stone. I haven’t watched the news in weeks. I had to ask my chef, How’s Obama doing? I haven’t read a newspaper. On top of that, [we've lost] a family member.”

“I’ve been doing okay,” she says. “Work helps focus all of that energy on something that is of value to you.” She’s just back from vacation, a princely three days on a beach. “It was the first time I had to myself since Michael passed, the first time I could get away since all of that.”

She’s learned a lot in these past weeks. “I always wanted to have my mother’s [Katherine Jackson] strength, but I didn’t know if it was really there. But a few years back, something happened and I learned that I did.” She fixes you with a keen gaze. “I’m not going to mention it, but we all know what it is. And now, coming off all this, it’s even beyond that. I was just focused on my job at that moment within my family.” She pauses. “Now at least I know that I can step up to the plate and not crumble when I’m needed. When it comes to something like this that is so, so serious, so painful, so traumatic, I can handle it.”

Janet Jackson made her first public appearance last night at the BET Music Awards  since the death of her brother, Michael Jackson, last week. She said that the whole family wished be at the awards show but since they are still heavily grieving they couldn’t. Which is so understandable.

Janet thanked the fans in a heartfelt speech to everyone. I’m not sure how she kept it together because I am sure I would be crying neverending tears.

Even in the wake of Michael Jackson’s death Janet Jackson has signed on to reprise her role in the sequel Why Did I Get Married Too from Tyler Perry. 

The thesp will again portray a successful author and psychologist who prefers to analyze other’s relationship problems rather than deal with her own marriage.

Jackson’s the first announced casting for the project other than Perry. Lionsgateannounced in March that it had acquired rights to “Why Did I Get Married Too” and “I Can Do Bad All by Myself” with Perry writing, directing and starring in both projects.

Tyler Perry melodrama certainly brings in the crowds, hopefully Janet is ready to jump back into acting. Life goes on.

It seemed doomed from the start - from the underselling album (this year’s Discipline) to departing from her record label, to never-ending reports of vertigo and rehearsal illnesses, Janet Jackson’s Rock Witchu tour has been the source of much unhappiness for the iconic singer.� The answer? All of the dates that needed to be rescheduled have now been officially cancelled, leaving disappointed fans with a simple refund.

If you believe Jermaine Jackson, then start saving your pennies now, kids!� According to the oft-eccentric Jackson brother, the Jackson 5 are reuniting in its entirety, so yes– even Michael for a world tour in 2009.� So far, Jermaine is the only one speaking on the kinda-exciting news, adding also that sister Janet will be the tour’s opening act (just like old times, no?).

“It is just the timing, so what we’ve been doing is working on the music and all the logistics. It is going to be more like a family affair, Janet’s going to open and, of course, the original Jackson 5,… Michael, Randy and the whole family. We’re in the studio, we’re planning on being out there next year.”

Janet Jackson was supposed to resume her Rock Witchu concert tour tonight in Connecticut, but she has canceled the show under doctor’s orders.

Since falling ill in Montreal last week, Jackson has cancelled several tour dates.� This seems to be getting pretty serious at this point - I wonder what’s going on with her health?� Hopefully her doctors can figure it out and help her get better soon!

If you’d been paying attention to the stories behind Janet Jackson canceling several tour dates, you probably caught wind of the rumor that brother Randy Jackson claims his sister suffers from Vertigo.� Not so, says the former boy-bander, who took to his myspace (yes, he has myspace[?!]) to dispel the myths.

Rumors started by the owner of a Michael Jackson fan site has stated that they had an exclusive interview with Randy Jackson, and during this interview he said that his sister Janet had canceled shows because she has an illness called “Vertigo.” Randy has not and will not speak publicly about the health of his sister, or her reasons for canceling any of her shows. This “interview” never happened.

Janet Jackson has been released from the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal where she was taken last night after falling ill during a concert sound check.� Though there were no further details available on her condition, a source told People:

“A 42-year-old body can’t handle what a 22-year-old body can,” says the source. “I can tell you that she’s definitely tired. It was probably exhaustion. She is doing back-to-back, three-hour shows, and her body isn’t the same as it used to be.”

Meanwhile, the magazine noted that while Jackson was in the hospital, sweetie Jermaine Dupri continued to party it up in New York.

“If [Janet's condition] was more serious he would’ve rushed to her side,” added the source.

Hmmm.� She’s probably not pregnant then, don’t you think?� Maybe he’s trying to get all the partying out of his system before she gets pregnant and he has to act like a grownup!

Janet Jackson has been forced to cancel and reschedule a show in Montreal because of an unspecified illness.�� The L.A. Times reports:

The singer “got suddenly ill during the sound check” before her concert in Montreal and had to be rushed to the hospital, according to People.

If she hadn’t also cancelled Friday’s show in Detroit (”production issues”), I would have suggested that perhaps she caught something from sweetie Jermaine Dupri when he puked on her at his own birthday party this weekend.

NecoleBitchie speculates that Ms. Jackson is in a family way… but unless there’s a problem, why is she in the hospital?� Inquiring minds want to know…in the meantime, get better soon, Janet!

Jermaine Dupri celebrated his 36th birthday at Tenjeune in New York this weekend, and apparently had a little too much of a good time.�� Page Six reports that Dupri and his honey Janet Jackson drank Champagne and Patr�n with Ne-Yo, Busta Rhymes and Ice-T - until he

vomited in Janet’s lap. Ms. Jackson bolted out of the scene and sped off in her chauffeured Maybach.
