January Jones has delivered and the actress had a baby boy on Tuesday.

Jones named her son Xander Dane Jones and both are “doing great” according to her rep.

The Mad Men star has never revealed who the father of her child is and still is tight lipped about the paternity.

Jones and SNL star Jason Sudeikis broke up in January of this year and she announced her pregnancy in April. It has been speculated that the father is her X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn (who is married to Claudia Schiffer) but Vaughn’s lawyer said it was an “absolute lie.”

Regardless, Jones is moving forward with single motherhood and her Mad Men director Matthew Weiner says she’ll be a fantastic mom.

“She’s got a big heart and she’s been talking about having children since I met her, which is not always common with actresses,” Weiner said. “I think she’s going to be amazing.”

This is the first child for the Emmy nominated, 33 year-old actress.

Twitter comments fly fast and the nastier they are, the more traction they get.

Damon Lindelof, one of the creators of LOST, has taken aim and Mad Men actress January Jones is his target.

Lindelof critiques Jones’ performance in X-Men: First Class as less-than-stellar:

“Emma Frost’s THREE mutant powers: Telepathy, Transformation to Solid Diamond and last but not least, Sucking at Acting,” he tweeted.

Jones hasn’t responded to the remark but it isn’t the first time she’s been publicly taken to task.

Comedian Zach Galifianakis has spoken about her icy demeanor and how he told her off.

“I sit at her table,” the Hangover star said, “and talk for 10 minutes, and she goes, ‘I think it’s time for you to leave now.’ So I say, ‘January, you are an actress in a show and everybody’s going to forget about you in a few years, so f—ing be nice,’ and I got up and left.”

Mad Men star January Jones has announced she’s having a baby.

The 33 year-old, who is single, will be a first-time mom in autumn of this year.

A rep for the actress told People magazine “January Jones is happy to announce that she is expecting her first child this fall.”

It is not known who the father of the child is at this time and the actress has famously said she likes being solo.

“I don’t like living with other people. I don’t mind being alone,” she said.

“I just don’t really have a lot of time or energy to put into a relationship when nothing’s going to happen.”

She can be seen in this summer’s X-Men: First Class.

The contract dispute with Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner and AMC was finally resolved late last month but it won’t be back on air until 2012, giving Jones time after the baby is born.

The 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards were held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Sunday January 30th with January Jones hitting the red carpet for the 2011 SAG ceremony.

The Mad Men actress wore an unusual gown from Carolina Herrera. The sheer black with gold lace overlay gown was striking on the star and certainly made her standout in comparison to so many others.

January Jones plays Emma Frost (White Queen) in the upcoming movie X-Men: First Class.  She recently talked about what it was like to fill the bodacious mutant‘s shoes… or clothes, rather.

“The costumes are insane, it’s a lot of very body-conscious stuff.  If you look at the comic book, she’s barely dressed – she’s got quite the bod, which is very intimidating.”

Uh, I’ll say!  (Don’t have a visual of Emma Frost in your head?  Check out this pic.)  January also shared that she was asked not to lose weight for the role, in order to keep the character’s signature curves.

“I’m a petite person, so I didn’t want to go into a strict workout and eating regime.  I would have disappeared entirely, and she’s very busty, very voluptuous.”

And that’s true.  I would have expected them to pick someone with a little more weight on her bones for this role, but I bet it was a treat for January to not have to starve herself before filming started.   But I’ve got to ask, how does a woman who posed totes naked for Versace get intimidated by barely-there costumes?

Mad Men‘s January Jones is quite nearly naked in a new ad for Versace’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection.  Not much here but a tall blonde, a handbag, and a pair of stilettos.  But what more do you need, really?

January was picked as the new face of the brand by Donatella Versace herself, who said:

‘I am always on the lookout for the next Versace blonde, and in January I feel I have found a perfect Versace woman for the 21st century.  She is chic and elegant but deeply sensual too.’

The ads were shot by Mario Testino, who just did an amazing job with Prince William and Kate Middleton‘s engagement photos.  You gotta love a guy who can even make Wills look good!

Last night, Mad Men star, January Jones was heading home from The London Hotel when the paparazzi were chasing after her, and ended up getting her so worked up that she lost control of her Range Rover and crashed into 3 parked cars.  She ran home  (1/2 block away) from the scene and called 911.

Bottom line.  Jones is free of any charges.  She wasn’t drunk or on drugs.  She was just being harassed by the photogs and was trying to get away.  I am just glad that no one was hurt.  I think the paparazzi should have to pay a fine and pay for the damages to the vehicles.

Jeremy Piven and January Jones seem to be hitting off nicely.  In fact, Star is reporting that the hot new couple first got friendly after the Golden Globes (see winners HERE)  on Sunday night at the HBO party at Circa 55.  Later on they were seen together, together leaving Chateau Marmont.  Of course, this could have been a quickie, one night stand sort of deal.  OR, we have an odd new couple in Hollywood.  What do you think?  Can Mad Men mesh with Entourage?

Actor Guy Pearce has joined the cast of the upcoming thriller Hungry Rabbit Jumps.

Guy Pearce has signed on to star opposite Nicolas Cage and January Jones in the dramatic thriller “Hungry Rabbit Jumps” for Endgame Entertainment. Roger Donaldson (“The Bank Job”) is directing.

Story centers on a man who becomes entangled with an underground vigilante organization after his wife (Jones) is the victim of a brutal crime.

Pearce adds a high level of quality to any movie he performs in, so I’m already looking forward to this one more. This a very capable cast working with a great director in this genre, so I have high hopes.
