As reported here last week, Jason Wahler (ex-boyfriend of Lauren Conrad) lost a civil trial and was ordered to pay $5,000 in damages. Jurors will return Friday to hear testimony and decide whether Stevenson deserves punitive damages. The driver’s attorney had hoped the jury would award Stevenson up to $1 million, but because of the small award announced Thursday, damages will be capped around $55,000.

Dario Stevenson said Wahler punched him in the face and hurled racial slurs at him and other blacks during a fight in September 2006. Eight women and four men decided that Wahler committed battery during the scuffle.

Wahler, who also appeared on “The Hills,” acknowledged testimony that he used racial slurs. Jurors rejected justifications by Wahler’s attorney that his client was defending his girlfriend and was too drunk to know what he was saying.

Wahler’s attorney declined to comment Thursday after the verdict.

Stevenson, who is black, claimed he suffered emotional distress from Wahler’s slurs. Jurors agreed the celebrity’s conduct was “outrageous,” but did not find that Stevenson suffered severe emotional distress.

No matter what, this Wahler kid is a racist idiot and needs to realize his 15 minutes are good and over.

Looks like Laguna Beach star and ex-boyfriend of Lauren Conrad, Jason Wahler, will have to pony up for some irresponsible and illegal behavior in 2006.

The former Hills fixture was charged with battery after punching Dario Stevenson in the face and hurling racial slurs at him in September 2006.

His blood alcohol level was an impressive .22 at the time.

Although Wahler’s 60-day prison sentence was suspended after he checked into a rehab center in 2007, Stevenson’s lawyer filed a civil suit against him.

A jury of eight women and four men concluded that Jason Wahler had committed an act of battery. His attorney argued that the L.A. native and his girlfriend at the time, model Kristen DeLuca, were too drunk to know what they were saying.

Dario Stevenson may receive punitive damages as well as the $5,000, but they will likely be drastically smaller than the $1 million he sought.

In April 2007, he served three weeks in jail on criminal trespassing, assault and underage drinking after punching a Seattle hotel security guard in the face.

In February 2008, he was banned from the USC apartment of his fiancee Katja Decker-Sadowski for using racial slurs against the complex’s security guard.

He’s also been arrested for drug possession and resisting a public officer during an underage drinking sweep in North Carolina. Yeah. The guy gets around.

Dude’s a real winner. Had me fooled on the show, but I am quick to admit when I’m wrong.

Watch out, Lauren Conrad. Looks like ex-boyfriend, Jason Wahler, and his fiance are trying to rain on your fame parade.

Lauren Conrad’s controversial ex, Jason Wahler—of Laguna Beach and mugshot fame—says he’s close to signing on as a castmember of The Hills next season.

But while a stormy reunion with L.C. is inevitable, it probably won’t be of the romantic variety—Jason’s fiancée, Katja Decker-Sadowski, is also in talks to appear.

Besides, the guy’s got a more important encounter in mind—he wants to challenge Spencer Pratt to a fight. Sounds like solid TV gold to us.

Ok, I would love to see Jason take Spencer down. I can’t think of anyone who deserves a good whoop-down more than he does.

So here’s some major scoop on ‘former’ bad boy and ex of Lauren Conrad, Jason Wahler:

He’s being sued by Dario Stephenson, a tow truck driver who claims to have been ‘roughed up’ by Wahler in a verbal and physical altercation that began after a car Wahler was traveling in was blocked by Stevenson’s tow truck as he was attempting to impound another vehicle. Stephenson’s attorney, Daniel Wagner, had been granted a suspension to appeal a recent court ruling by Los Angeles Superior Court Justice Elizabeth A. Grimes prohibiting the use of details regarding Wahler’s criminal past in court, E! News reported Tuesday.

E! News also reported that Wahler’s car almost “clipped” both Stevenson’s tow truck and a police vehicle driven by Officer Jonathan Wallace and that Wahler allegedly used the N-word during the incident. Both Stevenson and Wallace are black.

Wahler eventually plead no contest to one count of battery and received a two-month jail sentence that was later converted into a rehab stint over the incident, however Wallace and Stevenson both ended up filing civil lawsuits over the altercation. Wallace’s lawsuit — which accuses Wahler of assault, battery and violating Wallace’s civil rights — was filed in August 2007.

Among the details of that Wahler wants prohibited from the trial resulting from Stevenson’s suit is his April 2007 arrest for assault and criminal trespassing in Seattle, a 2006 conviction for resisting arrest and bribery following a bust in New York, and his alleged use of the N-word during his altercation with Stevenson and Wallace.

The Seattle arrest resulted from an incident in which police were called after Wahler allegedly punched a security guard in the mouth after receiving numerous warnings to wrestling in the lobby with a friend, fled the scene, and was later found passed out in a third-floor hallway “smelling strongly of alcohol,” (Read the article)

Jason Whaler- ex-boyfriend of The Hills star Lauren Conrad- showed off a much fuller face last night when he stepped out with his fiancee, Katja Decker-Sadowski, to the Pepsi 500 event at Avalon nightclub in Hollywood.

The heftier MTV star also told Hollyscoop.com that he’s done with reality TV and has plans to move on to movies. He added that he was asked to return to The Hills this season but said no because he’s “just over it” and didn’t like the way he was depicted in the series. He adds that he doesn’t watch the show or keep in touch with Lauren or Lo.

I don’t mind his fuller face, really. He just looks like he’s a grown up now… But I do mind that v-neck showing off the chest hair. Ew, much?

Usmagazine.com has obtained disturbing photos of former Laguna Beach star Jason Wahler engaged in what sources say was a dangerous game of Russian Roulette.

The pictures, which were taken last summer, show the 20-year-old and his friend, rapper Jay 211, holding a pistol to their heads and then pulling the trigger.

“We were just wasted one night and we ended up back at Jay’s house in North Hollywood,” a source who witnessed the incident tells Usmagazine.com.

“Everyone was just playing around and they decided to play Russian Roulette. There was one bullet in the gun and Jason and Jay both pointed the gun at their heads and pulled the trigger. “

Luckily, no one got hurt. The source adds: “Jason’s out of control. He’s out of his f–king mind.”

Usually where there is fire, there is a sex tape when one starts being discussed. The latest is a strong rumor of a sex tape existing between Laguna Beach and The Hills star Lauren Conrad and Jason Wahler.

L.C. may be upset but word is that bad boy Jason has been arrested three times in the last year and was recently sentenced to serve time in prison and is trying to sell the tape to raise some cash before he goes off to the klink.

Sources say that L.C. was so upset when she found about Jason’s evil plan that she tried to break into his apartment to get the tape. She was stalking him and calling non-stop until he finally gave in and gave her the video, at least a copy of the video.
