Jay-Z is showing how proud he is to be a dad to daughter Blue Ivy.

He and his wife, Beyonce welcomed their first child over the weekend at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City and the rapper has already put out a beautiful song that reveals his heartfelt feelings and the littlest Carter’s cry.

Jay-Z posted “Glory” on his website Life + Times, declaring her his “greatest creation.”

“The most amazing feeling I feel/ Words can’t describe what I’m feeling, for real.” he raps. “Baby, I paint the sky Blue, my greatest creation was you. Glory.”

The 42 year-old artist also reveals that the Single Ladies singer miscarried, making Blue Ivy’s arrival all the more significant for the superstar couple.

“False alarms and false starts/ All made better by the sound of your heart/ All the of the pain of the last time/ I prayed so hard it was the last time,” he says.

Later in the song he talks about their personal tragedy specifically: “Last time the miscarriage was so tragic/ We was afraid you’d disappear, but nah, baby, you magic.”

The tune, which was produced by Pharrell, includes Blue Ivy’s first recording. Jay-Z, who credits his little girl as B.I.C., ends the track with her cry.

Beyonce has finally had her baby!  Little Blue Ivy Carter made her appearance on Saturday night in New York City.

The singer, who registered under the name “Ingrid Jackson,” delivered at Lenox Hill Hospital on the Upper East Side.    Things there are a little crazy now – sources are reporting that security is crazy both inside and outside the hospital, and that staff are being asked to turn over their cell phones when they arrive for their shifts.    They’ve even taped over the security cameras, for fear that images of the new mom and baby will be leaked to the public.

This is the first child for Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z.

Beyonce and Jay-Z‘s marriage was super secret and there was one big detail people wanted to know about – what was her wedding dress like? For a fashion savvy star like Bey, the dress for her April 2008 nuptials would be the epitome of fashionable wedding glory.

For her new video “I Was Here” the ultra private star gives a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it peep at the elusive gown – all white and strapless – among other quick pieces of home video footage of Beyonce’s life.

The star is shown performing for her family and in competitions when she was young, frolicking on a slip-n-slide, playing with her nephew, Destiny’s Child footage and Beyonce meeting and performing with her heros.

With her 30th birthday approaching in September, Beyonce Knowles thinks this is the perfect time for her to start a family with her husband Jay-Z.

“I feel like a woman. I feel like I’m very aware of who I am” Beyonce told CNN‘s Piers Morgan. “I feel great and I feel like 30 is the ideal age [to start a family], because you’re mature enough to know who you are and to have your boundaries and your standards, and not be afraid, too polite — but you’re young enough to be a young woman,” she explained. “I’m so looking forward to it.”

“I always said I would have a baby at 30,” she went on to explain.”But, I also said I was going to retire at 30.”

And Jay-Z seems to have been on board with the idea for quite some time telling reporters in 2008 that he is looking forward to having his own children.

“Most people dream of having a family someday,” he told reporters. “So I’m just a regular American boy.”

I can’t imagine she’ll really retire but it really could be the perfect time to for the couple to have a baby.

Beyonce & Jay-Z walked the red carpet of the 2011 Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City on Monday, May 2nd.

The 2011 Met Gala, as it’s more commonly known, featured an exhibit, the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty retrospective, which honored the late designer’s body of work.

Beyonce was stunning in Emilio Pucci. The black mermaid style with gold embroidery, high neckline with a glimpse of Bey’s cleavage and her hair pulled back tightly to show off the dress was just right.

Jay-Z was fab too in his white tuxedo jacket and bow tie. A perfect match.

Beyonce‘s mom Tina Knowles was very clear last month that her daughter is NOT pregnant.   However, when the time comes, Tina is clear that Beyonce and husband Jay-Z will be ready.  She said:

“I think they’ll make great parents because they’re good people and really positive and talented.  They had a lot of practice with my grandson, their nephew. They’ve spent a lot of time with him.  [Beyoncé] is very caring and patient and loving, so I know she’ll be a great mom!”

I don’t want to hazard a guess about these two and their parenting skills, but I do know that whatever kids they have will be ridiculous attractive, crazy talented and filthy freaking rich.

Jay-Z was at Barnes & Noble in New York City on Wednesday promoting his new memoir, Decoded.   Why a guy as obsessively private as Jay would write a memoir, I don’t know.  (Oh wait, I DO know – it’s a word that starts with an “m” and ends with “oney”.)

It sounds like an unusual book, in which the author (real name: Shawn Carter) describes how he developed Jay-Z, the persona, and also explains the lyrics to many of his songs.     But I’ll let you decide what you think for yourself – you can read an excerpt from Decoded here.

Dr. Dre is still fine tuning his album Detox and it doesn’t appear to be ready anytime soon, but the long awaited collaboration between himself and Jay-Z is even more hotly anticipated. A very rough version of their song ‘Under Pressure’ has hit online (it hasn’t been mixed and has no chorus yet.) Here are the lyrics so far:

“The long-awaited Detox, bitch,” Dre starts the song. “But maybe I don’t wanna stop/ Maybe I don’t wanna quit/ Maybe I like ho’s/ Maybe I don’t want a wife/ Maybe I’m psycho/ Maybe we need to breathe some life in this sh–/ Maybe we are the life of this sh–.”

The chorus is conspicuously absent, then Hov comes in for the second verse.

“Dre, I think I need my sponsor,” he says. “Trying to grow, but I just can’t seem ta/ Having trouble cleaning up like FEMA/ All these little haters got me back with the nina/ Got me bringing guns to work, Gilbert Arenas.”

In the track, Hov says he’s addicted to the finer things, like drop-top coupes, watches and bowlegged girls from the projects. “I’m in this party/ I’m up to no good/ And I should be ducking these clubs, Tiger Woods.”

“I smoke, I drink, I’m supposed to stop but I can’t,” Dre says to end the record. “N—as don’t ask why/ I’m high … I’m a weed head and I’mma treat every day like the weekend.”

Music industry royal couple Beyonce and Jay-Z know how to live it up, but don’t think they don’t also know how to live on the cheap when they have to.  They chose decidedly downscale digs for their trip to the Isle of Wight Festival this weekend, where Jay was performing.

The pair reportedly stayed at the Premier Inn, which costs all of £29 (about $43 USD).   And while they were offered the opportunity for fine dining, they opted for an evening out at Pizza Hut.

A source said:

“They were a completely normal couple. They actually have simple tastes and preferred to go out for a pizza rather than something posh.”

If you call demanding a mountain of junk food in their room “completely normal.”  Apparently Jay’s concert rider called for a personal stash of edible crap as well as one to share with after-party attendees.  The feast included:

dozens of Mars bars, Maltesers, chewy toffee and chocolate Chomp bars, Walkers crisps, classic 80’s snack, Space Raiders, and pickled onion Monster Munch, all washed down with red and white wine and a selection of spirits.

Sounds like someone was anticipating the munchies to me!  Now that’s thinking ahead!

I think everyone on God’s green earth wants to know if Beyonce is really pregnant or not.  And it seems that some pretty confident sources are CONFIRMING that Beyonce and Jay-Z are in fact expecting their first child together.

It’s been a long time waiting . . . but now it’s finally happened. MediaTakeOut just learned from a ROCK SOLID source that legendary singer Beyonce and her hip hop mogul husband Jay Z are expecting their first child together.
According to our source Beyonce is doing fine and resting (for now), but she’s expected to continue working throughout her pregnancy. And we’re also told that Jay Z is EXTREMELY happy to be having his first child with Bey.

CONFIRMED – Beyonce IS Big Sis To Baby Nixon

Jay-Z and Beyonce’s reps have not yet confirmed the pregnancy, BUT, I honestly believe it’s true.  I don’t think that the soon to be parents are ready to share the news with the world, so they are keeping quiet, for now.  Once they are comfortable, you can bet on an official announcement.

Congrats to Beyonce and Jay-Z!!
