Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi has been out and about a lot lately showing off her newly-slim figure.  She’s reportedly down to her goal weight of a mere 98 lbs.   That’s very small for an adult woman.   The Jersey Shore star has admitted that she battled with an eating disorder in high school, and also that she’s used diet pills to help her lose weight this time, so you’ve got to wonder if this is really going to stick.

Snooki was in Las Vegas for the holiday weekend, where she rang in the New Year at Ghostbar at the Palms Casino.    Peep more photos of her (and her cleavage, my goodness!) after the jump.

The girls of Jersey Shore escaped Hurricane Irene on the East Coast for the sunshine of Los Angeles and the 2011 MTV VMAs.

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Deena Nicole Cortese and Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola all glammed up and added on even more than their usual make-up for the event.

The skirts were short and the hair (and boobs) were big. No surprises there.

JWoww’s change in appearance has caused quite a stir. The reality TV star looks slimmer and it was speculated that she had cosmetic surgery but she says that’s simply not the case.

“If I got work done, I would be open to talking about it. I didn’t,” Farley said.

She says it’s diet and exercise that have changed her body, but she doesn’t want to shed any more weight.

The Jersey Shore cast isn’t hanging around the house (Italy or Jersey) in formal wear but that’s not stopping one enterprising tuxedo company from hoping to cash in on the fan base of the show.

Mike ‘The Situation‘ Sorrentino has reportedly inked a deal with FLOW Formal wear for a line of tuxedos, slim-fit shirts and accessories and it’s worth six-figures!

The company wants to change the image of the stuffy formal suit and is banking on the MTV cast member to help them reach a new, younger demographic.

CEO Brain Weintraub tells TMZ “This is great for us and great for the industry. [Tuxedos have] become an old man thing.”

The company plans to use his name for all it’s worth and call the line The Situation. Yes, it’s that creative. It launches in February 2012.

I get that the company wants to change the image of the old-fashioned tuxedo, but it seems to me that in choosing a spokesperson, you want their followers to purchase the items. Does anyone really think fans of Sorrentino will run out to get a tux?

I guess they do go to prom, eventually…

The Jersey Shore cast spent some time in Florence, Italy with the cameras rolling for the fourth season of the wildly popular show and MTV has released the first cast photo of the guido gang.

With the August 4th premiere right around the corner, you have to wonder what are they running from?

We already know Snooki didn’t get into any real trouble when she crashed into an Italian police car and they weren’t allowed to film in historic sites or capture any drinking in public places so it’s unlikely they are running from an angry mob.

Maybe they are running to a shoe sale? Deena and Snooki need some footwear for those well-lit cobblestone streets.

Catch the season 4 premiere of the GTL guys and gals on Thursday, August 4th at 10pm.

Well are they or aren’t they.

Season 5 of Jersey Shore is just getting under way now that the gang has returned from Italy and the rumors are MTV is getting ready to dump everyone once they finish filming.

“After this group comes back from Italy and shoots season 5 this summer, that will be the end for them,” an inside source told US Weekly.

Paul “DJ Pauly D“ DelVecchio, Nicole “Snooki“ Polizzi, and Jenni “J Woww” Farley are signed up for other things and the cast has demanded (and gotten) substantial pay increases from the network and that could factor in to the decision.

The cast’s salary is thought to be about $100,000 each and the source said a crop of unknowns would be “a lot cheaper”.

MTV’s official response is that they aren’t thinking about anything beyond season 5.

“We love the present cast, and their summer adventures have just begun,” an MTV rep said. “We currently have no plans to recast the show.”

The spin-offs suggest that regardless of their statement, MTV is planning to change up the format in some form.

As we told you a couple of weeks ago, the cast of Jersey Shore are currently abroad, sharing their own very special brand of low class with all of Italy.   And predictably, they’re wreaking havoc.  Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi has gone and got herself in trouble again.  She managed to crash her car into the police vehicle that had been assigned to escort the show’s entourage through the streets of Florence.     The accident was described as a “low speed impact,” but the two officers she hit still went to the hospital in an ambulance.  Smooth move, Snooki.  Smooth move.

It’s not just Snooki, though.  Evidently the whole cast is having trouble navigating Italy by car – they’ve racked up nearly 300 Euros ($428 US) in traffic fines over the last few weeks, and concede that “driving [there] is difficult.”

Florence, Italy is the current and temporary location for the cast of MTV‘s Jersey Shore.

Snooki, JWoww, The Situation, Pauly D and everyone else have landed and filming has begun but are they welcome?

One local paper, Corriere Fiorentino, gave the group a very unwelcome headline: “The super buffoons arrive” it proclaimed. And it’s opinion of the cast’s invasion of their city? Decidedly negative.

“The eight most famous jerks in America are arriving in the most refined city in Italy and perhaps in the world. If the Jersey Shore guys do what has made them famous, there will be trouble.”

The Mayor of Florence, Matteo Renzi, has little tolerance for the group as well, barring them from besmirching, filming and boozing inside any historic public building like the art museums.

But the cast is being followed by hundreds of spectators. Are the residents of Firenze on board with GTL? Time will tell.

The gang shopped, went to the gym and got in some much needed clubbing time over the weekend. The group was also filmed on a carousel where The Situation took a chance to work on his Italian with a language dictionary.

Riveting.

Rolling Stone has chosen Jersey Shore cast member Nicole “Snooki“ Polizzi for the April 2011 cover.

Polizzi says it’s hard to watch herself on the super popular MTV show because she doesn’t always like how she acts:

“If I do something stupid, which is pretty much the whole time, I hate it,” she says. “I just hate it. Obviously, they’re only going to put the good stuff in, and the good stuff is us drunk, so all I’m seeing is me drunk and falling down. That’s how I am when I party, but some of the stuff I do is, like, ‘Really, Nicole?’ I look like a freakin’ alcoholic. I’m like, ‘You’re sweating, your makeup is running, you look gross.’ I just look like s**t.”

Regardless of her current actions on camera, Polizzi feels she can position herself now for the future:

“When Jersey Shore ends I’m going to do more spinoffs,” she says. “If MTV doesn’t want them, another network will be, like, ‘What does Snooki do now?’ or ‘Snooki’s getting married!’ What I’d like is to turn out like Jessica Simpson, with her whole brand. She makes millions…I’m trying to build an empire, because after this I can’t get a normal job. I mean, how do I go and sit behind a desk?”

Polizzi and the rest of the cast are heading to Italy for season 4 of Shore.

As if there was any doubt, Jersey Shore was renewed for season 4. The real question is what unsuspecting community would get the cast of guidos and guidettes thrust on them.

MTV has determined Italy shall be plagued by the GTL crew and hopefully the U.S. government can put it’s time to good use and find a way to invalidate their passports so they can’t return.

Here is the official statement:

“The cast is headed to the birthplace of the culture they love and live by,” said Chris Linn, Executive Vice President of Programming and Head of Production for MTV in a statement. “We can’t wait to see what erupts as a result.”

Do Snooki, JWoww, The Situation, Pauly D and the rest speak the language? Unlikely.

Worst. Tourists. Ever.

Since when did being a Guido or Guidette become a qualification for becoming an author?  The latest Jersey Shore cast member to “write” a book is Jenni “JWOWW” Farley.  HarperCollins is about to publish Farley’s The Rules According To JWOWW: Shore-Tested Secrets on Landing a Mint Guy, Staying Fresh to Death, and Kicking the Competition to the Curb.

Whew!  Did you get all that?  That’s some title.  Is it meant to distract from the lack of content in the actual book itself?  I mean, check out this quote:

“I am like a praying mantis.  After I have sex with a guy, I will rip their heads off.”

Which is such a great thing to advise in a book that claims to “have you with a man ready to wife-up in no time,” don’t you think?

Jenni will start her book tour in – where else? – New Jersey, the same day her book hits stores on February 8th.  Will she sell more copies than her co-stars?  It’s too early to say how Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi‘s book will ultimately do, but apparently Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino‘s only sold 4,000 copies and is currently #4,368 in sales on Amazon.  Ouch!
