Jim Carrey stars in the new movie, Mr. Popper’s Penguins.  He is, of course, Mr. Popper.  This is exactly the kind of role you’d expect Carrey to take -  silly, ridiculous physical comedy…with animals!

A group of actual penguins was on hand at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre for the premiere.   And is that actual snow on the ground?  A real novelty in Los Angeles any time of year, but certainly in June.

Mr. Popper’s Penguins hits theaters this Friday.

Steve Carrell’s send off is getting bigger by the day.

The Office season finale in May has added another comedian to the list of stars making an appearance: Jim Carrey.

Carrey will be one of the many candidates vying to take over the Dunder-Mifflin management vacancy as Michael Scott (Carrell) departs for Colorado.

Ricky Gervais, Ray Romano, Will Arnett, Catherine Tate, James Spader and Will Ferrell all will show their funny faces on the ending ep.

The finale airs May 16th and will be an hour long special.

Here’s the poster for the upcoming Jim Carrey movie Mr. Popper’s Penguins.

This movie looks like it could be pretty fun, although it is obviously aiming at the kid crowd. The fact is that kids films are an incredibly lucrative part of the business. We know Jim Carrey is good in movies with animals (Ace Ventura movies), so I’m hoping this will be fun for big kids too.

Jim Carrey made his major debut with Ace Ventura: Pet Detective so this movie isn’t exactly new ground for him. Hopefully this movie turns out to be more than just a kids flick and has plenty of good laughs for the adults too.

Jim Carrey and the cast of Saturday Night Live turned their comedic radars on the movie Black Swan and did not disappoint.

Carrey was deft at giving the naughty black bird ballerina an over-the-top sexuality that riffed on Mila Kunis’ character and Bill Hader was hilarious as the Vincent Cassell dance mentor. Plus, who doesn’t love a man playing a woman with buffalo wings tattooed on their back?

Jenny McCarthy showed up on ’Extra‘ with Mario Lopez to promote her new book ‘Love, Lust and Faking It’ at The Grove in West Hollywood yesterday.

First of all, I’d like to point out that if I was Jim Carrey, that book title alone would crush me.  Ouch!  I can’t imagine how much more painful the interior of the book has got to be.  Am I judging a book by it’s cover?  Absolutely.

Talk about precious moments.  Jim Carrey spent his 4th of July holding his grandson Jackson Santana on Malibu Beach and spencding time with family and friends.  I absolutely love these snaps.  Jim Carrey is such a funny guy, I have always been a huge fan of his flicks.  But seeing this tender, personal side of him makes him….HOT.

Yesterday we got the news that Jim Carrey had become a grandpa.  Now we get the first look at Jim’s grandson, Jackson Riley Santana.

Jim Tweeted the photo below with the caption,

“Jackson Riley Santana, My Grandson, Born today! This is what 7lbs.11oz. of Calfornia dynomite looks like! %^>”

Jim Carrey is officially a grandpa.  And a very funny one at that.  Jim’s daughter, Jane (22) gave birth yesterday (Feb 26) to a beautiful baby boy in Los Angeles.

Jackson Riley Santana arrived at 12:28 Friday morning and weighed in at 7 lbs., 11 oz. and is 20 inches long and in perfect health.  Daddy, Alex Santana is a very proud papa.

Jim Carrey kept the world posted on the big day via his Twitter,

“Something beautiful is right around the corner! ;^)”
