John Travolta, Uma Thurman and Blake Lively are all likely to join the cast of the upcoming book-to-movie adaptation Savages.

Oliver Stone is putting together a killer cast for Savages, the drama based on Don Winslow’s bestselling novel.  Stone is arranging a Pulp Fiction reunion of John Travolta and Uma Thurman, as the two actors are in talks to join the ensemble cast.  Also joining is  is The Town’s Blake Lively, who beat out a group of young actresses to play the role of O. Travolta will play Dennis, a burned out DEA agent, and Thurman will play O’s mom, Paqu…

…Savages focuses on the relationship between best friend Laguna pot growers Chon and Ben, who live a cozy life with their trippy galpal, O. Their pot is so good that the Mexican cartel tries to coerce them into working for the cartel. When they refuse, the cartel kidnaps O and charges a heavy ransom to get her back. The growers pay the ransom by covertly ripping off the cartel’s own shipments, a most dangerous game.

I’ve never read the book, but it sounds like it could be pretty good. Travolta and Thurman definitely have their chemistry, I’m sure Blake Lively will be good with them too. They join Aaron Johnson, Benicio Del Toro, Salma Hayek and Taylor Kitsch; quite a cast! It’s kind of crazy that Uma is playing Blake Lively‘s mom in the movie, but I guess she is getting older.

According to a report from The New Yorker, The Church of Scientology is currently being investigated by the FBI for human trafficking.

FBI Agents have reportedly interviewed defectors to find out about the techniques used to control members’ lives and what, if anything, the church did to those who tried to (or did) leave.

The investigation stems from allegations that Scientology condones methods of control that include unpaid/slave labor, psychological abuse and imprisonment.

Author Lawrence Wright spoke to people who had left the organization and one was a former security director at Gold Base, a place in the California desert that houses members. People who tried to leave were reportedly denied by illegal means:

“When emotional, spiritual, or psychological pressure failed to work,” Wright reports, “physical force was sometimes used to bring escapees back.”

David Miscavige, head of Scientology reportedly ordered members to work on actor Tom Cruise’s customized trailer, motorbike and other personal projects for $50 a week. Miscavige allegedly lives like a movie star, with chartered jets, personal chefs and other high-priced compensation items heads of non-profits are not allowed to have.

John Travolta and Kelly Preston finally welcomed their precious baby boy, Benjamin.  He was born in a Florida hospital…I wonder if it was the same one as Celine Dion’s?

He weighed in at 8 pounds, 3 ounces.  Their rep gave this statement:

“John, Kelly and their daughter Ella Bleu are ecstatic and very happy about the newest member of the family.  Both mother and baby are healthy and doing beautifully.”

Congratulations to the whole family.  What wonderful new blessing to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

The rumors started by The Herald Sun have come out to be just that.  Rumors.  Kelly Preston is not in labor.  Her rep told People,

“This story is 100 percent false,” says the spokesperson. “She’s not in labor. John is in route back to the U.S. as was always the plan for him to return this weekend.”

Well, he better hurry up because she could pop any minute!

Kelly Preston is gettin ready to pop with her third child with John Travolta.  She in the high risk category due to her age and this pregnancy could turn south at any given second.  Aside from the fact that she’s less than 3 weeks away from her due date and could just go into labor any minute.

Good ‘ole John Travolta thought it would be a good idea to take off for Australia on his own Boeing 707 to party it up for the  Qantas 90th anniversary celebration.  He’s the Goodwill Ambassador and thinks they can’t do the party without him, apparently.

But don’t worry, he’s got a plan in case Kelly goes into labor,

“If [my wife] goes into labor, I’ll have to take the plane straight back on a 22-hour flight,” Travolta said. “If I get a call, I may have to say adios.”

Yeah.  Like he’d make it in time.  It’s her third labor.  Like it’s going to last that long.  What a jerk.  Nice way to ditch your wife in her time of need.  Isn’t it customary for a husband to be there for his wife when it comes to having babies?  If he actually considers this baby a miracle (which it is) then perhaps he should act like it.  Kelly, your husband is a selfish loser.

Oprah kicked off her 25th and final season of her talk show on ABC yesterday (Sept 13) and she did it with a huge bang.  Oprah is always giving out really great gifts to her audience.  But this “gift” took the cake of all cakes.

And just for fun, Oprah also threw in a Motorola Smartphone for everyone.  Yeah, I think she did it.  Oprah finally outdid herself.

John Travolta has requested that the  judge in the Bahamas drops the charges in the nasty, drug out extortion case.

Tarino Lightbourne and Pleasant Bridgewater were charged with trying to get millions from John in return for keeping an ambulance waiver secret on the day Jett died.  The first trial was a devastating mistrial and they were going to have to go through a full, second trial.

Heartbreak: John Travolta’s Dogs Killed At Airport In Maine

Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston are ready to move on.  John said,

“The first trial in this matter resulted in a heavy emotional toll on my family.  It was finally time to put this matter behind us … I concluded that it was in my family’s best interest for me not to voluntarily return to the Bahamas to testify a second time at trial.”

I think that John did the right thing.  It really sucks that those jerks are getting away with it.  But, with Kelly being pregnant, I don’t think any more heartache is necessary.  Time to move on and let the healing conclude.

Finally some good news for John Travolta and Kelly Preston.  After suffering the loss of the son Jett a year ago and then the tragic accident that killed their dogs last week, John and Kelly are celebrating.

The happy couple announced the good news that they “are expecting a new addition to our family.  It’s impossible to keep a secret … especially one as wonderful as this. We are expecting a new addition to our family,”

10 year old, Ella is going to be a big sister!

John Travolta’s dogs were struck and killed at Bangor International Airport in Maine on Thursday after he and members of his family hand landed there.  Someone was walking the dogs on leashes when they were hit by an airport service truck, People reports.

In a statement the city of Bangor said,

“An airport service pickup truck was approaching the airplane to service the airplane and did not see the dogs. Unfortunately, the dogs were struck and killed. The airport is investigating the accident. Out of respect for the family’s privacy the city will make no further comment.”

Travolta And Family Feel Love From Home Town

Airport director Rebecca Hupp said,

“Clearly, this is an unfortunate accident. Our deepest sympathies are with the family.”

What a tragic accident.  Like they needed any more heartbreak after losing their son just about a year ago. Our thoughts are with the family.
