Johnny Depp enjoys a quiet life in the south of France (who wouldn’t?), but is his deliberately anti-Hollywood peace coming to an end? It could just be a coincidence, but … now that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt and their attendant dozens of paparazzi have moved into the neighborhood, Johnny appears to be considering moving out.
He’s reportedly been checking out two estates in Norfolk, England.
Claxton Manor is a £5.5-million Elizabethan property…that has eight bedroom[s], six baths, with expansive private grounds…Johnny may also be checking out a place with its own vineyard, a 13th century house called Flemings Hall. And the latter has — wait for it — a moat!
It is not very hard to see Johnny living in a crib with a moat! And you really can’t blame him for wanting to get away from the media circus - isn’t that why he lives in France instead of Hollywood in the first place?

Angelina Jolie is reported to be after the role of Catwoman. This seems to be a solid piece of information according to News.com.au check this out:
(Angelina Jolie) is said to be in final negotiations with studio bosses to play the feline villain who first appeared in the Batman comics.
It is not clear whether she would play the role in the current Batman film series, starring Christian Bale as the caped crusader, or in a spin-off film as Halle Berry did in 2004’s Catwoman.
Actress Julie Newmar, who played Catwoman in the Batman TV series from 1966 to 1967, has given her blessing for Jolie to play the part.
“Angelina would own the part,” Newmar, now 74, said.
“My industry friends tell me she has already made enquiries about the role. I can understand how it would pique her interest. Catwoman is Batman’s one true love.”
“She is tremendously popular with women because she’s both a heroine and a villainess.”
Wow! And with Johnny Depp playing the riddler? (read that story here) The sequel to ‘The Dark Knight’ is sure to be a huge deal, and getting Angelina seems like a perfect romantic choice with Christian Bale’s Batman. She’s so well suited as the femme fatal type character. The film has already grossed over $462.2 million worldwide, and it shows no signs of stopping!

This is unofficial news (since it’s unconfirmed), but it makes total sense.
“He’s (Tim Burton) held out on doing Alice until he got a big enough budget. Now this film is financed by Disney so money won’t be a problem.”
The movie - which is scheduled for release in 2010 - will be the seventh time Depp and Burton have worked together.
They have previously collaborated on Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,Corpse Bride and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
Burton loves to use Depp and Helena Bonham Carter in his films (Queen of Hearts anyone?)

These celebrities have all been hiding things from us…their phobias. We can all say that we hide our fears from people and these celebrities have been hiding theirs.
Scarlett Johansson is scared of cockroaches…“I once knew a girl who actually had giant African cockroaches as pets, and she would play with them and fuss over them. She often tried to get me to touch one, but I wouldn”t. I told her I have been afraid of them ever since I once woke up with one crawling over my face, and another was in my shoe,” she says.
Nicole Kidman is afraid of butterflies…“I am not afraid of snakes or spiders — just butterflies. It all started when I was a child. Sometimes I would come home from school and the biggest butterfly you have ever seen would be fluttering on our front gate. I’m very surprised at most of these ones…and I am also scared of clowns bad. I was at a fair just yesterday and a clown started to follow me…and I ran so fast from him!!

It’s a bit late in the day, but I could not let the clock strike midnight without acknowledging that today is Johnny Depp’s birthday! Born June 9, 1963 in Owensboro, KY, J.D. turns 45 today.
From his very first role in Nightmare on Elm Street to his most recent as the Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Johnny Depp is one of the most versatile actors in Hollywood today. He’s played an antique book dealer and an author; a drug dealer and a drug addict; a gypsy and an earl; a cop and a corrupt CIA agent; mental patients and doctors. Who else could rock the roles of Edward Scissorhands AND Willy Wonka with such aplomb? And he never stops working: he’s got no fewer than five movies in the works right now.

Of all the speeches I saw from the 2008 MTV Movie Awards last night…Johnny Depp’s was the best. Johnny never ceases to amaze me. When he came up to accept the award for Best Comedic Performance (in Pirates of the Caribbean) he just took the moment in. He is so famous that you think that he would be used to people screaming at him…but he is the most humble celebrity I have seen. I loved that he really didn’t have a speech and that was the real Johnny. He said a lot by saying nothing.
Johnny also picked up the award for Best Villain for Sweeney Todd.

This year the MTV Movie Awards will have a very special guest – Johnny Depp, still busy shooting his new movie “Public Enemies”, found some time to grace us with his presence in this event!
Johnny is also nominated for Best Comedic Performance for his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the movie “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End”. Of course there’s no discussion, Johnny is going to win it all!

Breaking our hearts and throwing all our hopes in the trash, Johnny Depp is set to marry is long time sweetheart and mother of his two children (Lily Rose and Jack).
Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis met in 1998 while he was shooting The Ninth Gate. Depp says it was love at first sight and they have been happily together ever after.
Their story is soo perfect, sickly romantic and Johnny wastes no opportunity to tell the world just how much he loves his second half. He says Vanessa was the one to save him from drugs and destructive aggressive behavior:
The encounter with Vanessa radically transformed me. It was like waking up from a nightmare and then it’s a sunny morning.
The birth of our children was a wonder of life for me. If anything, that is the proof that there has to be a God or some other beings of wonderful almightiness.

Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law will each take turns becoming multiple incarnations of Heath’s character transformed in the “magical” world of the film.
Heath was playing Tony, a mysterious outsider, in the American fantasy adventure film about a traveling theater company giving their audience much more than they were expecting.
I’m so glad that they have found a way to keep Heath in the movie.

But that doesn’t mean that Heath won’t be in the movie at all…there is a part in the movie where Heath’s character falls through a magic mirror, and that is where Johnny can appear as the changed character.
It’s sad that they are thinking about this already but I am happy that they haven’t thought of cutting Heath’s part out totally. I would love to see this movie!!!
